⭐ 1 STAR — THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE TRUSTING THIS COMPANY WITH AN IMPORTANT OCCASION
Without doubt one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
I booked a white H2 Hummer limousine for my daughter’s school prom, for her and 14 of her friends. It was booked months in advance and the agreed cost was £1,000, including a £400 booking fee.
This was a huge occasion for my daughter and her friends. They had organised everything around travelling together and arriving at their prom in the Hummer we had specifically booked.
Then, THE DAY BEFORE THE PROM, I received a phone call telling me that the Hummer was no longer available because it had apparently broken down.
Their alternative was a party bus.
I appreciate that vehicles can break down. What I found completely unacceptable was the way the situation was dealt with.
Initially there appeared to be no interest whatsoever in reducing the £1,000 price, despite the fact they could no longer supply the vehicle I had booked and paid for. It effectively felt like: take the party bus or leave it.
And of course, they knew perfectly well that with less than 24 hours’ notice, finding another suitable vehicle for 15 teenagers going to their school prom was going to be virtually impossible.
I felt completely over a barrel.
Only after considerable back and forth, and me repeatedly challenging the fact that I was being expected to pay the same price for a completely different vehicle, did they eventually agree to reduce the price by £150.
So instead of paying £1,000 for the H2 Hummer limousine I actually booked, I ended up paying £850 for a party bus I never wanted in the first place.
And I had to fight to even get that reduction.
Their own terms and conditions state that if the designated vehicle is unavailable they will endeavour to replace it with an “equivalent or better model.” I personally do not consider a party bus to be an equivalent replacement for the H2 Hummer limousine that was specifically booked for my daughter’s prom.
The most disappointing thing is that this could have been handled completely differently.
A genuine apology, an immediate and reasonable reduction in price and some understanding that this was an important, one-off occasion would have gone a long way. Instead, what should have been an exciting day became an unnecessary argument with a company that, in my experience, seemed far more concerned with protecting the booking price than dealing fairly with a disappointed customer.
£850 for a last-minute substitute party bus was certainly not what I thought I was buying when I made this booking.
If you’re considering using this company for a prom, wedding or another occasion where the vehicle you’ve chosen actually matters, my experience should at least make you think very carefully.
I certainly wouldn’t use Kroovel again, and I couldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I had hired a Hummer for my daughter’s 18th. Kevin, the driver, kept me updated on the day and arrived well ahead of the scheduled pick up time. I would not hesitate in recommending Kroovel and would definitely use them again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - Charged £1400 for limo hire for my sons prom, was 20 minutes late with no soft so hey only had 40 minutes hire. He limo was battered with ripped seats. Will not issue a refund for the missed time as they claim i need to speak with the Limo company direct and its nothing to do with them even though paid them £750 upfront for the booking!!!! AVOID AS YOU WILL BE LEFT OUT OF POCKET AND THEY WILL NOT HELP, TAKE £750 FOR BASICALLY TAKING THE BOOKING THEN WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. DISGRACE

We are sorry that you remain dissatisfied, but we feel it is important to clarify several points for anyone reading this review.
Your booking was for a total of £1,400, of which £750 was paid to Kroovel and the remaining £650 was payable to the independent operator responsible for supplying the Hummer and chauffeur.
We have never said that we want "nothing to do with" your complaint. Your complaint was formally logged, your photographs and concerns were obtained and the complete complaint was forwarded to the supplying operator for investigation in accordance with our complaints procedure.
We acknowledge your concerns regarding the approximately 20-minute delay, refreshments and condition of the vehicle. The transport was nevertheless provided and the passengers were taken to Beamish Hall.
Unfortunately, despite Kroovel referring your complaint and supporting evidence to the operator and allowing the required time for a response, the operator failed to respond.
We have taken the issues raised seriously. In fact, following this matter and other concerns regarding the supplier's service standards, Kroovel has ceased working with this operator.
We subsequently provided you with the operator's full contact details so that you could pursue your request for reimbursement directly with the company responsible for supplying and operating the vehicle. This was not Kroovel refusing to help or simply "wanting nothing to do with" the matter.
We genuinely regret that the service provided on such an important occasion did not meet the standard you or Kroovel expected. However, we believe it is important that the full circumstances and the action Kroovel has taken are accurately represented.

Great experience from start to finish
Great experience from start to finish. The customer service when booking was excellent, and our driver was punctual, friendly and very accommodating.
We booked a Mercedes Jet Class for a group of five boys heading to their prom, and they absolutely loved it. They spent just under an hour being driven around, playing music, taking selfies and enjoying the whole experience before arriving at prom in style.
The only minor issue was that we'd booked a silver vehicle, but a black one arrived instead. Had the colour been really important to us, that could have been disappointing. However, it didn't affect the experience or the excellent service we received, and the boys still had an unforgettable time.
I'd happily recommend them and would definitely use them again.

Prom night
We booked the hummer limo for our daughter’s prom night and the kids (and adults) were blown away by it. They had a fabulous time and jimmy the limo driver was great with the kids and took them on a lovely route to the venue so they could make the most of the experience. Soft drinks were provided and the kids had their favourite music blasting all the way. Needless to say they had a fabulous time. We will definitely use this company again for our son’s prom in a few years. Excellent service

A smooth pleasant experience
The whole experience with the Lamborghini Huracán was excellent from start to finish for the hire of the vehicle.
The car was stunning, beautifully maintained, and clearly very well looked after.
Mo (Driver) was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and a real pleasure to chat to. Everything felt well organised and smooth, and we had a fantastic experience.

This company is a joke cars are falling apart booked them for a wedding turned up in a car full of rust and car full of engine oil all over it like it’s just come out of the garage not even been washed ruined our wedding then tried to give me a 62 plate shagged out Vito van in stead and called it a party bus!! And tried to charge me extra for it!! Do not let this company ruin your special occasions!! I can send you pics of the car if anyone wants to see what they sent me!! And tried to charge me £2,300 for it the idiot was called Jay!!

Not worthy of one star…
Not worthy of this one star this company are horrendous! My son and his friends booked their ‘party bus’ AKA clapped out mini bus. Driven by a driver that couldn’t get anything working. To be honest the bus was that old and knackered I’m not sure anything actually worked to start with… we booked an hours party bus experience but ended up getting a 20min journey. No music, no drinks, no TV. One of the girls was actually crying to get off the bus before the journey actually started it was that bad. To top it off one of the kids got injured on the trip. The driver didn’t care… When the organiser called to complain the owner became abusive and started shouting on the phone. Just wow… do not use. Find a reputable company.

If I could mark this no stars I would
If I could mark this no stars I would. This firm were used to book a party bus to pick up year 6 children on their last day of school. They were meant to get 1 hour. This didn’t happen. The bus arrived late, the driver then had issues with connecting music so this took another 40 mins with the kids sat on the bus on a very hot day. The driver didn’t have the address info so this had to be given twice! the children had a session booked at a local trampoline park and we were still sitting at the school 45 minutes on! it was decided that the driver should just get going so they can at least get there in time so we didn’t miss the session booked. The driver vaped on the bus all the way to the venue with 16 11 year olds on board!! Totally unacceptable especially as it cost £1000 and they spent literally 15 minutes driving from the school to the venue. Total let down. Avoid using this company at all cost! I just hope they refund as taking £1000 for a 15 minute drive listening to hotel California on repeat while the driver vapes the whole way is not what you expect from a reputable company!

What can I say, outstanding service from this company. They kept me informed all the way and make the whole experience so enjoyable and easy.
The gentle that I dealt with on the phone was magical, he was friendly, very informative and patient with my booking…..top service.
The limousine turned up on the dot, which was amazing because we’d had road works nearby to us; time and planning had obviously been taken into great consideration. The limousine was gorgeous and very impressive, even the neighbours had a look they were that impressed!!
The driver was lovely and absolutely brilliant with my autistic 9 year old son Jack. Jack was able to ask questions about the limousine and even have a look inside…..this absolutely thrilled Jack that he wouldn’t stop thinking about it for 7 days!!!
A massive thank you from me, the parents and the lads. Impeccable service that provided a smile and pure satisfaction!

It only got worse
Turned up early which was great but as soon as I stepped outside he was asking me for the money before saying anything else & was asking for 50 more than agreed in contract, got lost in town (my sister had to use maps) even though I know I gave the right postcodes on booking. After wedding they were demanding the money with the extra saying the had x amount on file yet I had y amount confirmed on my contract. Kept me & my bridal party stuffed in the limo for almost 40 minutes sorting this out. After this I said I will take my money & leave if I have to & phone the police. Took ages to set up the speaker to connect my phone & I ordered fresh orange & strawberries for the limo & got a bottom of lemonade with no glasses so we couldn't even drink. It was a shambles from start to finish.
