Lemon Squad was my only option as the dealer wouldn't allow an offsite independent mechanic PPI (Pre-purchase inspection). If you can get a PPI, I highly recommend that over this service. With that being said, I did find out some useful things from the report and sometimes that is enough to make an informed decision. Almost every dealer misrepresents their used cars, so a thorough inspection is always recommended before purchasing. Lemon Squad often can't lift the vehicle or drive it, so you are only getting half the information so it's half the price.

I am so happy with my experience with lemon squad I believe the tech name was Shane, well let me tell you he did an amazing job. He got every picture that you can imagine for me. I felt like I was right there. I asked him to rev the engine. I asked him to take certain pictures of areas. I asked him to drive off to a certain speed get up to a certain speed anything I asked him to do he did and more he went over and beyond. He is absolutely wonderful at his job and you could tell he loves what he do. I would definitely definitely recommend lemon squad to any and everybody I know it was the best investment that I’ve done so far this whole year it helped me tremendously with my purchase on my new vehicle.

Absolutely Horrible service

Ordered an inspection on 8/22/2026 (Saturday). Knew they didn't do inspections on weekends. Figured Monday would be ok. Appointment was scehduled/cancelled/rescheduled 4 times at the Inspectors request. 11 days later and I still have nothing from them. Since they have a zero refund policy, I'm thinking it might be time to call the credit card company and request a chargeback for services paid and not rendered.

Inspector inspected a vehicle that was recently sold to another buyer.

Lemon Squad inspected a 2024 Mercedes EQB for me before I purchased it out of state. Their report specifically listed CV joints/axles as inspected and stated that a road test found normal ride and handling with no abnormal wheel-bearing or suspension noise.

I noticed a clicking noise while maneuvering the car the same day I bought it, and we clearly reproduced it during a tight U-turn the next day. Mercedes-Benz subsequently reproduced a “strong clicking sound” from the right-front axle/outer CV joint and replaced the axle. Total repair bill: $2,929.46.

I provided Lemon Squad with the Mercedes documentation. They denied reimbursement and even declined to refund the inspection fee, saying their inspection is visual/non-invasive and the problem may not have been detectable.

I don't expect a pre-purchase inspection to find every hidden defect. But this problem produced an audible symptom, was present immediately upon purchase, and involved a component Lemon Squad specifically reported inspecting and road-testing. My guess is that the inspector simply didn't make a sufficiently tight turn to reproduce it.

I paid for an independent inspection precisely to reduce the risk of buying an out-of-state car with a significant mechanical problem. Based on my experience, I would not use Lemon Squad again.

My inspector was accommodating with my schedule and was very thorough. I had noticed a musty smell in a used car that I bought a week prior and he found extensive undisclosed rust and corrosion in the vehicle. Using this inspection, I was able to get the dealer to take the car back despite them trying originally saying that I signed the contract for an as is vehicle and that there was no cool down. In my state.

Swift scheduling and prompt service.

They said 48 hours on the website. They immediately rescheduled. Took 3 days. Then they said they were checking the inspection and would have the report in 24 hours. 3 days later I finally received it. The truck sold. Shady practices. Inconsiderate and unprofessional

What made my experience great was quick turnaround. The same day I paid for an pre purchase inspection. Is the same day it was done. So for me no wasted time. I live in Virginia and the vehicle was located in Texas. About 1400 miles away. Just like with anything, you are dealing with people and hoping they do a complete and thorough inspection. I believe my person did a great job. Could I have used some more information or better pictures on some things? Yes!!! I also understand what this is (manage expectations). Overall I have recommended Lemon Squad to others and to my bank about using the service.

Found a car online that was too good to be true, so I ordered a pre-purchase inspection. The inspector took dozens of pictures with very thorough notes, code reader attached to the car, and took it for a test drive. The inspection was so thorough, the inspector even measured the water content in the brake fluid. I will never not get a pre-purchase inspection before buying a car again. Thank you for doing a wonderful job.

We live in Alaska where vehicles get beat up in the back country, we wanted to purchase a Vehicle in Idaho and drive it 3200 miles back home through Canada for the adventure, what a scary thought to buy something and have it die in the middle of newhere, i found Lemon Squad through Chat GPT and was skeptical but very happy with them as they sent someone there to Rigby, Idaho and did a very thorough inspection with tons of pics and it was exactly as they said it was, we drove to Alaska in 5 days and was the best road trip we have ever done, will definitly use them again!

I was very impressed on the report that I got it really helped me to make a decision to move forward with the vehicle. It was very detailed more than I expected. I would highly recommend this company. It can save you a lot of money down the road purchasing a vehicle if you have this inspection because nothing was left a doubt made me feel comfortable to move forward and buying it. I would not have done it without this report.

So great! I booked online and someone scheduled an appointment within the next 24 hours. I was purchasing a used car out of state and wasn't able to test drive or inspect myself. The results were very thorough and I immediately told everyone about Lemon Squad! Most people don't even know this is an offered service.

My technician was thorough, timely, and very friendly.

Requested an inspection Thursday afternoon which was promptly assigned, and the inepector was onsite Saturday to complete the inspection. I received over 150 photos, most of which were very good and helpful. These photos alone are way better than what I got from the dealership. Great underbody and engine photos. Tire measurements and a brief drive impression give me confidence for my 500 mile drive home.

Very detailed inspection with over 200 photos taken. The verbal summary provided as well at the Table with green, yellow and red notifications of the status was excellent. They did however miss that the spare tire was completely shredded. The seller placed it in the trunk damaged side down but it was obviously damaged and deflated. That was the only thing missed and replaced with a $50 used tire. Not a big miss by any stretch of the imagination.
