Not worth it. I did a better job on my own. The tesla i ordered to be inspected had a door sticking out that made it not flush with the car. Screen had a crack. Dior handle had a deep gash….etc…. I now think it probably was not even inspected and they just sent me pictures. Save your money

My reviewer was incredibly thorough. I received a multi-page report, a video, and 50+ photos. I can only speak to my experience, but this inspection just saved me from investing significant money in a car I could not inspect in person (due to distance). I am very satisfied with the inspector's notes and him telling me critical information that I was able to read between the lines.

I recently used Lemon Squad for a pre-purchase inspection on an out-of-state vehicle. Unfortunately, while they provided a large number of photos, I was disappointed with the overall quality and thoroughness of the inspection.

The report noted an “abnormal noise” during startup, yet elsewhere stated that the vehicle started strong and that no issues were observed. I paid extra for the verbal rundown specifically so I could better understand any potential concerns. When I followed up, the representative told me that he had reviewed the videos and report and did not hear any abnormal noise at all, and that I should essentially disregard that portion of the report. That was concerning and left me questioning the accuracy and consistency of the inspection.

There was also a diagnostic code listed in the report that appeared to be associated with Toyota, despite the vehicle being a GMC. When I called to ask about it, the representative acknowledged that they weren’t really sure why it was showing up. For an inspection that is supposed to help someone make an informed decision on an expensive out-of-state purchase, I expected a much clearer explanation and verification of any diagnostic codes.

Another issue was the way the vehicle was started and recorded for the inspection. The inspector got into the vehicle and, from a cold start, immediately revved/pinned the throttle for no apparent reason. I found that concerning and unnecessary, particularly when evaluating a vehicle that is being inspected for a potential buyer.

Overall, the photos were useful and probably the strongest part of the service. However, the inconsistencies in the report, the questionable diagnostic-code explanation, and the lack of confidence in the verbal assessment made me feel that I did not receive the level of inspection or expertise I paid for.

Based on my experience, I would personally look into other inspection services before using Lemon Squad again. If you’re considering them, I would view the service primarily as a way to get additional photos rather than relying on it as a comprehensive mechanical evaluation.

Great experience and a great report. If you cannot be there to look yourself, this is the next best thing.

I was very happy with the service provided by Lemon Squad, and I'm speaking as a car-guy who has rebuilt numerous cars. The inspection was performed within two days of my request, and car was located in a more remote area.

The inspection was quite thorough. I appreciated all the photos and details reported for the separate systems. A couple additional details I would have liked was a condition description for each of the fluids that are checked, and clarification about CEL codes, whether they were active or stored. Noting the condition of the engine oil for things like coolant or shiny particles would be a definite aid.

Very comprehensive and thorough. I do wish they had contacted me prior to completing this to see if there was anything in particular they wanted me to have them look at or discuss their findings.

The car was located in MD, an I am in NH. It did more than 2 days ( more like 4) to inspect the car and write review, but I did not expect LemonSquad to do it in two days any way and I was not in a rush.
Review was very details with numerouse pictures and videos. Inspector noted excessive noise on cold start up and took a test drive and and noted things like differential binding in tight turns.
I am happy with money spent: it saved me a lot of headakes and money.

My report was very thorough and detailed. It ultimately showed body damage not easily seen in sellers pictures and an engine noise that was undisclosed

There wasn't enough explanation when the inspector called me and complained about the vehicle I was interested in, had he gone out for his inspection without stubbornness, I'd have called them again, rather I purchased a POS, all used cars need some sort of work, if it costs more than $1500 to fix my car, I may need an additional $10,000 of repairs. Adds up to $20,000 I'd rather have purchased a car I'd want to keep, instead of trying to save money

Lemon Squad was quick and thorough. Lots of good pictures and good narrative of the inspection of the car. Allowed me to confidently purchase a car located in another state saving me time and money. Helped me to purchase a really good used car.

Inspection has failed on interior of the vehicle. Ceiling was loosing holding screws with knobs and some ceiling lights didnt work which requires complicated repairs

They delete your report after 60 days! No notice "it's in the terms and conditions. Very shady practices, I've never not been emailed a PDF that I could save before. Terrible customer service too.

The inspection was postponed twice by the inspector, and I almost lost the deal I made with the dealership. The company could NOT reach the inspector, and finally when the inspection was done, it took 2 days to release the report. It took a total of 9 days to complete the inspection. Very frustrating experience

Super quick. Inspection completed within 48 hours of request. The report was extremely detailed and highlighted some serious safety issues with the car. I am happy I used this service and avoided buying a potentially dangerous car.

There are very few organizations that actually exceed their advertisements- this is one of them. While, I didn’t purchase the vehicle, I feel like the $219 that I spent was well worth it because it saved me a $25,000 mistake. The inspector was on site within 24 hours, the report was to me within 48 hours and my phone call from the squad was schedule the next day. While the report was very thorough and offered 74 pictures of the vehicle, the clarity for me didn’t happen until I spoke to the clerk from the squad. There were several notes the inspector had made that were not fully understood until I had my conversation with the squad. I normally don’t write reviews, but these guys are deserving. I wish I had thought of the idea first!

I’ve used Lemon Squad several times for classic car inspections. The service they provide is very thorough and timely. The inspectors have always been willing to answer questions, and have called immediately after inspection if they found major issues. Will definitely use again
