Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food and drink

I popped in with my mam for a quick coffee today but we won't be back after nasty treatment from a staff member.

I ordered a spicy lemonade a day Mam ordered a coffee. Mam was collecting the drinks and asked for a straw - the employee responded by THROWING a straw AT her. My Mam said "rude!", to which your staff member rolled her eyes, huffed and walked off.

The employee was standing outside having a smoke as we were leaving - I told her she'd served/thrown a ataw at my mam and asked for her name - she got aggressive, told me I'd no right to her name and that she "just washes the dishes" and that she "doesn't serve people".

I went in to let a manager know, none were on. There was a lovely supervisor on - she told me that the employee who was horrible to my Mam is called Eimear. While I was speaking with this supervisor, Eimear stomped back in, stopped dead when she saw us speaking and gave a wave and a sneering grin over to me. Your supervisor apologised for this - she'd done nothing to apologise for. Eimear walked between me and the supervisor into a backroom, continuing on with "don't give her my name".

I'm not sure what else has happened on her day, frankly I don't care - if a customer is spending any money with you they at a very minimum deserve basic courtesy and respect. My mam was nice to her, she didn't deserve how she was treated at all.

I've worked in customer service or with the public for most of my life - there's no reason for that kind of behaviour towards paying customers. I would loose my job if I treated someone like that at work. I'd be embarrassed that that's how you are being represented. I'm sure it makes no difference to you if we don't return. You might be happy enough for staff to act like this but there's plenty of cafes about with staff who have manners.

Good luck to Eimear, I'd say she has a bright future ahead with an attitude like hers.

Coffee was lovely, the toilets were absolutely disgusting in Chelmsford. I had to have a takeaway cup because they had not washed up, but the staff had time to be showing each other dance moves behind counter instead of washing up or cleaning the toilets.

Bought a bag of "fresh" coffee beans, Blue Volcano, only to find out when I got home that they were roasted over 3 months ago. This is evident in the bland taste and having to use a double walled basket. Very disappointed.

Quick easy delivered!

I love this company and I choose to try whenever possible to fly through Heathrow just so I can treat myself to a Black Sheep coffee, freshly made by one of your baristas. The service is always friendly and warm. The range of snacks is wonderful. And free to use charging points at the dining counters have helped to significantly reduce my travel stress on multiple occasions!

I ordered a cortado and it was just a plain coffee and they just poured milk

This is a review for blue volcano as it's a beautiful rich coffee 👌 can't say much about the others. The red one is very strong, I personally don't like it. Not because it's strong, it just doesn't taste nice.

Garbage, waited an age, tuna melt soft, not even Luke warm and cheese not melted, bottle of sparkling water that was flat, food on floor and table dirty.. really poor ..won’t be back!
