I submitted a claim on 19th November & still haven’t had a response. I have followed up a number of times with the online form & through social media - zero response. The insurance offer is a scam - avoid it!

Ich habe Anfang Januar den Kundensupport mit einer Nachfrage wegen den gegebenen Bezahlmethoden für das ATPO Programm angeschrieben. Bis jetzt habe ich auf diese Nachfrage leider immer noch keine Antwort bekommen. Vor etwa einer Woche habe ich dann nochmal Versucht den Support zu kontaktieren, da es mal passieren kann, dass eine Mail untergeht, leider ebenso ohne Antwort. Ich kann es verstehen, wenn ein Unternehmen ein bis zwei Wochen braucht, um auf eine Nachfrage zu Antworten, aber über 4 Wochen sind leider zu lang. Zudem verliert man so das Vertrauen in das Unternehmen. Wenn man bei einem Raddiebstahl, der eigentlich auch über das ATPO Programm abgedeckt ist auch keine Antwort bekommt, schaut man ziemlich blöd aus der Wäsche. Wobei das mit dem ATPO sich ja eh erledigt hat, da man es innerhalb von 30 Tagen nach dem Kauf abschließen muss, ich aber noch auf eine Antwort gehofft habe und jetzt über den 30 Tagen bin...
Ich muss Sagen, dass ich leider echt enttäuscht bin, da ich bei so einer Investition in ein Schloss auch einen halbwegs gescheiten Kundenservice erwarte.

Bearbeitet: Etwas nach dem Verfassen der Bewertung wurde ich von Kryptonite wegen dem Thema kontaktiert. Es wurde eine Lösung gefunden, allerdings hätte die Kommunikation trotzdem besser laufen können. Leider kann ich die Bewertung nur auf zwei Sterne hochnehmen, wenn man erst eine Trustpilot Bewertung schreiben muss um etwas vom Kundenservice zu hören.

I bought a kryptonite lock and it had no key!

I filed a claim 6 months ago via anti-theft program. I have been following up with them, but no even a single response has been received yet. The program absolutely is the big Scam. Not exactly match what they advertised.

4 months ago I filed a customer service ticket (#435403) because the keys I ordered didn't open the lock but didn't yet get a single response.

Worst customer service ever

I bought the antiprotection lock offer and it has been over 2 months and since i registered the claim after my bike was stolen. i have contacted many times and not heard anything back. very poor customer service and should advise to stay away!! I want to hear back with a positive outcome asap.

I've had an unexpectedly positive experience.

My key snapped inside the lock and in an attempt to get reimbursed for the cost of a locksmith, I reached out to the support team.

I didnt get a response, however a month later I recieved a new lock.

I gave 4 stars as it still would have been nice to feel like i have an avenue for communication with the team at KRYPTONITE.

My lock was likely cut during an attempted theft. Luckily, the thief could only cut one end of the shackle and could not steal my bike. Unfortunately, the lock was heavily damaged.

I contacted customer support in early December 2023 about this issue, and they did not reply until about a month later (like with most of the other reviews here). I was told that this wasn't covered under warranty and that I would have to go through the lock-out replacement program even though I still have the key for my lock. The cost to obtain a lock under the lock-out replacement program would be similar to the cost of a new lock on Amazon once duties and shipping to Canada are considered.

Nonetheless. other users on Reddit are saying that they were provided replacement locks under warranty when they encountered a similar situation. I suspect that the warranty policy is being applied inconsistently. I'm hoping Kryptonite can apply its warranty policy more equitably. My case ID is 445725.

Been over a month since I’ve received a response regarding my stolen bike!

I requested a replacement key on 10th September, ref #433615, and was told I would have to wait 2-3 months. It's been over 3 months now and no response. I have been unable to use my bike this entire time and have spent a lot of money on alternative transport. Shocked at the length of time this is taking and very frustrated with a complete lack of communication from this company. Judging by the other reviews this is a common experience.

Over 2 weeks waiting for a warranty claim response that I made through the website and nothing. I'm forced to order a new one as I need it for my commute and can't really use my bike without a lock. Now have been waiting for longer than a week for it to be delivered. These guys suck.

No reply.. passed the deadline for when my claim should have been assessed.

I bought the Kryptonite Avenue F-150 and Avenue R-75 COB Light Combo, which broke after only 3 months. I therefore asked customer service for a replacement. Initially I received a reply (every 1-1.5 weeks) and from the beginning of October no reply at all. I have made 2 more tickets, but so far no reply.

Edit: Nachdem ich meine Bewertung abgegeben habe, hat der Kundendienst prompt reagiert. Mittlerweile habe ich die Ersatzschlüssel erhalten und auch der Zahlungsbetrag wurde mir zurückerstattet. Danke an dieser Stelle dafür. Eine solche Reaktion habe ich nicht erwartet.

Originalbewertung: Habe im Februar ein Kryptolock 912 erstanden, bei dem mittlerweile beide Schlüssel ihre Funktion eingestellt haben. Das alleine ist schon Grund für eine Abwertung.
Die Ersatzschlüssel habe ich vor 6 Wochen bestellt. Bislang ist aber noch kein Ersatz eingetroffen.
Der Kundenservice ist praktisch nicht vorhanden. Eine Anfrage landet im elektronischen Nirvana von Zendesk.
Insgesamt habe ich 100 EUR in den Sand gesetzt.
Aus meiner Sicht ein klares Veto gegen zukünftige Käufe dieses Anbieters.

Quick resolution to my problem after my negative Trustpilot review.
I ordered replacement keys, which arrived promptly but did not fit. On contacting customer service I received no reply, but after my review here I was refunded for the useless keys and as a courtesy received a new lock.
Great service in the end, just a shame it couldn't be achieved without a public complaint.

Purchased a lock just under a year ago, key stuck in the lock and not able to extract. Local locksmith told me it wasn't fixable.

Tried to contact customer service (as comfortably within warranty period) with all the details specified in the contact form, but have had ZERO response for 26 days, despite commenting on the zendesk ticket.

Phoned them to follow up on the issue, simply told "someone will get back to you at some point". Tried phoning again and stuck on permanent hold

Nothing I can do at this point but purchase a new lock.

Plenty of other companies selling locks - suggest you take your business elsewhere.

I have been an extremely long-term customer of Kryptonite, having bought my first lock from them back in 2001. I have 2 chain locks, 3 d-locks, a disc lock and many many cable locks all from them. The first time ever I have needed replacement keys and have been totally let down both with regards to delivery time and the company will not answer my emails or messages on social media. In future I will use ABUS as I need to rely on these products.

My bike and lock was stolen.
It's been almost 3 months from when the event and claim was sent through and I am yet to have a response even after numerous attempts to contact them.

Complete SCAM! DO NOT trust this company to insure your bike.

The Kryptonite support is absolutely NON-EXISTENT!!! Opened a ticket 20 days ago and no reply, I called their support numerous times, but keep getting an answering machine... With this support how can anyone safely rely on their products!!!...
*** Unbelievable ***, despite waiting three weeks for some response to the initial ticket, after that the ticket was closed on 10 November 2023 but until today 24 November 2023 I have received nothing, absolutely NOTHING. So tickets are closed before the actual resolution is provided!!! Does Kryptonite really feel that this is good support?
