Leave before your next "forced" renewal
Like other reviewers, I believed I had disabled auto-renewal after last year’s charge, yet it renewed automatically again this year. There’s no option in the settings to verify or manage auto-renewal, so I contacted support to have it disabled. I’ll be testing other password managers and plan to close my Keeper account as soon as possible.
What an absolute masterpiece of…
What an absolute masterpiece of frustration this app is.
Using Keeper feels less like managing passwords and more like participating in a psychological endurance test. The app keeps telling me I’m offline while my internet is working perfectly fine. Then I press “Go Online,” log in again, only to be told — with the confidence of a scam fortune teller — that I am offline yet again. So I click “Go Online” again, log in again, and repeat this delightful little circus until I start questioning my life choices.
At some point, I had already decided to dump this digital gremlin and go back to 1Password. But then, in a plot twist no one asked for, Keeper suddenly started behaving slightly better. Just enough to make me doubt my decision. Just enough to make me think, “Maybe I was too harsh.” Classic toxic relationship behavior from an app, honestly.
And yes, to be fair, every password manager has its own little collection of nonsense. None of them are perfect. They all come with quirks, missing features, and the occasional urge to ruin your day. But Keeper seems especially committed to turning basic functionality into an obstacle course.
Now it’s acting up again, and I’m officially done. I wanted to share my experience and, to my complete lack of surprise, I see it has a 3.3 on Trustpilot. Frankly, that still feels a bit generous. But maybe the other reviewers are simply kinder, more patient, or haven’t yet been trapped in Keeper’s endless “Go Online” login purgatory.
Always a bad experience
Every time I have to use this password manager it is a bad experience.
Seems buggy, works bad, have to login all the time even if I click the "remember me for 30 days".

Don't use this Password Manager! Poor customer service and they will lock you in forever !!
Been with Keeper since 2022. Password manager service is reasonable if a little bit clunky. Was getting too expensive so wanted to cancel in 2025. Plan showed expiration date but no sign that autorenewal was still on and no button to turn it off. Plan autorenewed. I put it down as my error so just paid for another year. This year I was cautious and continues checking and again said plan expiring March 2026. Assumed plan ending but again autorenewed. Wrote to Keeper and they stated I need to contact them direct to stop autorenewal and that it is in the "term and conditions". I asked for refund, they state can not do this.
Terrible customer services. Don't use this company as they make it very difficult to cancel on purpose and you be locked in paying them money forever.
Unresponsive support
Expiring Subscription locks out the business from their passwords
One day before subscription end I got the mail to extend the Enterprise subscription. I didn't have the time that day, so the next day, the whole company was locked out of their accounts. No Access to any Passwords at all! When I tried to fix the issue, payment didn't work for Credit Card and SEPA. From issuing the support request to recieving a mail with a payment link took around 4,5 hours. Clicking on the payment link lead to a checkout with a pre-selected Addon "Silver-Package", which I could not opt out from.
This feels like a scam! Completely locking out a business for 24h from THEIR passwords, no fallback at all and trying to ripp off the already panicking staff by sneaking in a Add-On in the checkout is not a trustworthy business relationship. This is our last year at keeper, we will leave.
Absolutely worthless and a total waste of time and money
I have tested every aspect of Keeper for over 8 frustrating months.
1. The much heralded auto-fill feature does not work at all. Even though I have toggled it on each password, it never autofills.
2. Keeper requires a login every 10 minutes! This is truly inconvenient, to say the least.
3. Keeper does not save passwords without manually adding them. I "saved" over 2000 passwords, and Keeper saved exactly one. For the rest, I had to copy and paste them into Keeper. What is the point of having a password manager when all the management is done by me?
4. Support was annoying. Instead of trying to understand the problems I was having, the support rep simply insisted that Keeper worked fine. I have used password managers since they were first offered and easily have more experience than the Keeper support reps.
5. Keeper sporadically generated new passwords. It is unreliable and inconsistent.
I cannot recommend this terrible password manager to anyone. Beware.

DO not work with this company. They are not customer friendly. I signed up and could not sue the software. Said there was a free trial but you have to sign up for that differently. DID not work and after 2 days of use they will not cancel my payment.

I've been using Keeper for about 6…
I've been using Keeper for about 6 months. I like it a lot better than my old PW Mgr. It was fairly simple to get started, but like any new program, the more you use it the easier it gets and the more you learn the in's and out's. The edit login feature is extremely easy and helpful especially if you have multiple user logins (his and hers) for like accounts.

autofilling sometimes work, but most of the time it does not. If you seach for a specific record in the app, the one you search for are seldom found, then you scroll throgh all the records and find it.
I signed up for 3 years which was a mistake, ad I am definitely looking for another password manager.
Misleiding en spam
Proefperiode en niet voortgezet. Nu krijg ik aankondigingen dat mijn abonnement geld wordt afgeschreven. Geen communicatie mogelijk ,misleiding en riekt oplichting.
Genuine review from an independent teacher of cybersecurity
I have used and taught about the use of this product to a senior group that have mostly 11/12 adopted its use. None of these participants had any serious issues once properly taught.
Reviews from people that use the free version are meaningless.
You will very much enjoy and trust this tool. If you have an issue ask for their help, I have had close to several dozen tech help requests because of the different platforms and versions, and devices, as well as lack of knowledge from the participants, and me not being a computer expert. Everything is solved and response is 1 to 2 business days. Be patient and you will be rewarded !

Locked out
Having a password manager is a great tool to keep all your accounts safe. Keeper is one of the best for its interface, so I can't fault it there. The price isn't great, but it aligns with other premium tools on the market.
However, there is one major issue with Keeper. It forces two-factor authentication (2FA), which isn't inherently a bad thing, but in my opinion, it should be optional. My email password is stored inside the password manager, so if I need Keeper to access my email, sending 2FA codes to my email address becomes problematic. It essentially creates a loop where I cannot log in to either account.
Now everything is lost, so I'm annoyed as hell.
Keeper works solid
Keeper works solid, i just had it once, that I did not get an authentification code and could not log in. The customer service fixed that problem quite fast, although it was already evening on a weekend day (after 4 or 5 hours u was ready to go). Furthermore I like the Passwort generator and the fill in function, which unfortunately sometimes does not work, so you have to type it or copy.
Hard to automatically change passwords.
