Both me and my partner used JJ Esim throughout our trip. We didn't loose signal once (Tokyo, Kamakura, Kanazawa, Osaka, Kyoto, Wakayama and Hikone) and it was greatly beneficial for our Google map and translation needs.

Used the service when walking the Henro on Shikoku. Even in very remote areas I still had service. I think only twice on a couple of mountains did I lose a connection--and no one on any service had a connection. Would definitely use this again. And really enjoyed the free drink when we got to Lost. All the best.

The service from the esim was great when it worked. I unfortunately didn't have service the whole first day I was in Japan. I was stranded after I was out of range of Haneda airport because I didn't have data. Support got back to me as I sent out an email before I went to bed. This was what I was told "it looks like your eSIM was successfully installed, but you may be running into an activation or data connection issue. Let’s try updating your APN settings, this often resolves connection problems etc. " I was able to get data for the rest of my 2 week trip after with no problems, just a small hiccup. Support also got back to me in under 5 hours.

I had trouble setting up my SIM because of a weird setting on my T-Mobile phone, but after that, everything worked really well. I do wish I could've set up the SIM before I arrived though, because I wasn't able to actually get everything working until I was at my hotel on wifi, if I'd been able to activate it earlier in the states, I wouldn't have needed to navigate without any service from the Haneda.

Also at one point when I left Tokyo via train and got to Osaka it wasn't working, I had to turn it off and on and then turn my other T-Mobile service off for it to work again.

All in all though it worked super well and I'd definitely purchase it again

We cycled through Japan over two months and this Sim was faultless for our planning navigation keeping in touch and communication. Highly recommended!

First trip to Japan. Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Disney. So many options out there but chose this one as enjoy Chris' videos so felt this was a good way to support his work.
The Sim worked well. No issues with purchase install or coverage.
Only problem was in the crush of humanity at Disneysea opening... but everyone seemed to be having issues in the crowd so not a Sim problem.
Will use again!

So easy to install. Arrived at the airport and it was working. No issues using it during my 2-week stay in Tokyo. Would highly recommend!!!

The esim worked without any major issues. It took about 15 mins from exiting my plane in Tokyo for the esim to actually connect but once it did I had just as fast 4G data speeds as I did in the USA. The only downside is the esim is purely data from what I could tell. I was unable to make a phone call or text people using normal RCS, SMS, & MMS. I got around that by using Whatsapp since that uses Internet data to operate. I had a Saily esim running on another phone as a comparison and didn't notice any major differences. I think the Journey esim was slightly faster and held a stronger signal than Saily in some more remote places in Japan that I went to. Overall I would highly recommend this esim

Absolutely rock solid connection my entire time traveling 15 days through 10+ cities all across Japan. Speeds are respectable as well. Not going to be impressing anyone with speed test screenshots, but never once was it slow enough for me to think about it while using it.

Not much to say about it, had internet access throughout the entire 3 week trip. No connection issues at all.

Would buy it again, if the future permits me another trip to Japan.

I used this esim in May/June, had no problem with signal, except deep valleys in mountains, where nobody would have a signal. The speed was ok throughout the whole country. The ordering process was easy and fast. And the cherry on the top, discount in Lost bar

Easy to install, clear guidance, reasonable price, and most importantly of all - I got consistent connection even on the top of a mountain out in nowhere. Cant fault it. I am a very happy customer.

Had a three week vacation, always had good speed and connection. Cities visited during trip: Chiba, Tokyo, Nagoya, Ise, Kyoto and Osaka.

Hatte die eSim 3 Wochen auf Japan Rundreise durch Honshu und Hokkaido im Einsatz. Überall guter Empfang, auch in entlegenen Gebieten. Habe bei täglicher Nutzung 5 GB verbraucht.

Last time I used airalo, and it was a horrible experience. Especially Japanese sites took forever to load, leaving me stranded when I needed it the most, despite being in the middle of Tokyo. No such issued with jjesim. Heck, it was more stable than my hotel WiFi connection, Definitely worth the slight upcharge. Will definitely use it again next time I'm in Japan.

Absolutley amazing experience, we had connection instantly and with zero issues along our trip and we traveled all over the place.
It held strong through our hardest ordeal: descending mt miyashima through a completly wrong path, it was our lifeline in case we run into trouble, and it helped us actually find the right path once we realized we were lost.
10/10 get this e-sim it will absolultey change your trip for the better

I came over to Japan for a week in November, though at the start I messed up and had forgotten to unlock my phone for the start of the journey with three but once I got onto the eSIM properly it actually worked perfectly for my time in Tokyo.

I hope to come back to Tokyo or Osaka for next year as a longer event. Cheers Chris and the team at journey Japan eSIM for helping me out too!

Super simple setup and more data than I knew what to do with for cheap - really can't do any better!
Not even my own provider had such a good data bundle on offer for Japan.

Connection was more stable here than in Germany or France even. I only ever lost signal at Katsuoji temple and atop mt Aso. Likely because of mountains although it was fine in Takayama.

First Chris inspired my itinerary for a Japan trip, and now he lets me stay in touch with the homefront while I'm there. Sugoi desu yo ne...

Used this eSim on a recent trip to Japan. Everything worked perfectly as per the instructions provided. Coverage throughout our journey across Japan over 15 days was excellent, absolutely no issues or dead spots. Will use on our next trip.

Installing the eSIM was seamless; it worked right away as soon as I landed in Narita. Not going to lie, I enjoyed it a bit too much seeing others scrambling to connect to the Narita Airport Wi-Fi so they could show the Visit Japan Web QR code at immigration. I had a small issue when I tried to tether the data to my laptop because iOS had the option grayed out. I reached out to JJ-eSIM support, and they quickly replied with steps to follow, and I was able to tether the data right away. Data coverage was clearly not a problem, because at one point I was in a remote area of Tohoku and still had data, whereas my Japanese friend on SoftBank was struggling. I will definitely use it again on my next visit.
