Well equipped gym, friendly, engaging staff, competitively priced. Whats not to like!

Nice and easy sign up. Good gym with good variety of equipment

Good facilities, especially for the price. Lots of weights and machines to pick from. Negatives, I would say I’m surprised there is NO cleaning stations what I could see at all which I’m surprised at, this needs to get sorted ASAP, in my opinion. Clean down or wiping sweat away is pretty basic for a large gym like this. Lockers are OK, not the largest and when busy struggle to find space to get changed with little seating areas.

I love the amount of different machines available, there is something for everyone. The benches for bench press aren’t ideal as they are quite slippery and uncomfortable and there can sometimes be a bit of bodily odour smell around the gym but on a whole it’s fantastic.

There doesn’t seem to be any cleaning stations! People should do and generally want to clean up after themselves

Quality of equipment is very mixed, alot are rusty, wobbly or don't lock in securely.
The cardio equipment is really basic.
Very busy and often people are waiting for your machine.

Free weights section is good

JD Gyms Rugby is a big gym, lots of space to workout and all the gym equipment you'd ever want to get bigger, better and stronger.

I joined online following a review of the published online class timetable, the class I joined for was on Wednesday evening and Saturday morning, I joined on Tuesday night ready to go, upon joining and downloading the app, the timetable is different and class I want is onlyo once weekly and on Monday evening. I can’t go this week so might not even be able to test it out. Shame.

I love this place. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get in shape.

Nice, clean, spacious. Classes are walk-ins. I like that. Some machines are rusted and peeling...need to be replaced. Main Leg press machine is out....should have at least two of these machines. The upright seated legpress machine doesn't count- dont like it, very uncomfortable. Staff was nice though.

Acer at JD Gym Rugby displayed amazing customer service and totally rescued my faith in JD after I experienced some issues with the ‘freeze membership’ feature (which takes an unreasonable amount of time to activate / deactivate BTW). Calls with JD Gym call centre were also less than helpful. In the end I went in to the gym itself. I was on the verge of cancelling my membership, and if it weren’t for Acer’s help I would’ve done. His polite, approachable and helpful attitude acts as a fine example to us all.

Really impressed with all the equipment, myself and my wife haven’t been to a gym before so attended the induction on Saturday afternoon, it was a young lady that did it but sorry can’t remember her name. Unfortunately she just showed us the equipment without showing us how to use it I.e how to set the treadmills up or the cross trainers. We had to figure that out ourselves. So it wasn’t a great induction.

Great atmosphere, loads of good well maintained equipment- staff friendly and helpful 😃
