Very good but could be better
Would really like to see a whipe down area as not everyone takes a towel to clean up after themselves, and would really like the changing rooms to stay open 24/7 same as the gym, other than that brilliant gym with loads of equipment 👍

Hi Kevin, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, our team in rugby will be happy with the 4 star review.
In terms of the changing facilities being available 24/7, as we have less staff on duty throughout the night, areas which are not covered by CCTV are closed for the safety of our members (i.e. the main changing rooms and saunas).
We do however leave the accessible changing room open at all times, as well as there being lockers for you to use. If you need to get changed or grab a shower during the night, that option is there for you.
With regards to cleaning, we do have our team going around the gym keeping on top of cleaning regularly, but if you think there is something they've missed please do feel free to email the Manager on Rugby@jdgyms.co.uk
We have method statements for the team to follow for the cleaning of our equipment. Ensuring it is cleaned thoroughly without damaging it and keeping everything in action for the Rugby members to use.

Plenty of equipment to use helpful…
Plenty of equipment to use helpful staff if in need of advice or help the only issue I’ve had so far was on Sunday night where majority of stair master and treadmills were off due to powernap signs on them but apart from that my experience so far has been amazing I’m living being back in the gym can’t wait to start some classes to broaden my experience

Great value but machines are looking dated
Value is reasonable but there are very limited pieces of some equipment and a lot are looking pretty dated. Only one pair of mismatched single hand handles for the rope pulls is pretty disappointing for such a big gym.
I find the open 24 hours invaluable though .

Typical corporate gym with plenty of…
Typical corporate gym with plenty of equipment for both cardio and strength and overall happy with the price and service.
What's stopping a higher rating is that most cable machines are missing the accessories and are scattered around the gym but still doesn't seem to be enough to cover all the machines.
Changing room is quite small considering the size of the gym, with busier times it gets very crowded with not much space to get changed. Also, there are not many toilet facilities on site, again, considering the size of the gym.
Overall I'm happy, good value and does the job, but with a few changes would be a much higher rating.

Facilities are phenominal
Facilities are phenominal, no doubt about it!
My only suggestion would be reinforcing rules for gym goers to put things back where they came from, piles of weights left at machines etc causes a mess, inconveniences others who are looking for plates and also shows a lack of respect for the establishment, huge shame for those who go out our way to ensure we left equipment how we found it.
Otherwise the gym is very tidy, spacious & staff are extremely friendly.

Cancelation process is a joke
The gym itself is fine, aside from the equipment being sticky and have nothing to clean it with it, it’s a good gym. The staff however is a different story! It took two months and 18 emails to get my membership canceled. The manager and assistant manager kept messing me about telling me it’s canceled and yet I was still paying for it. When I finally spoke to their area manager, thinking there will be some kind of accountability, he was just as rude, dismissive and condescending as they were, so it all made a lot of sense then. When I asked him about all the cancelation complaints (because I am not the first and definitely won’t be the last that has an issue with this) he just brushed it off and basically said, it’s just a snapshot of otherwise happy customers. Well Luke, here’s another unhappy review to add to your ever growing list. Don’t waste your time going there!

I have been looking for a gym for a while, when JD Gyms said they were going 7 days, 24 hours. I booked up the next day. Great experience....car park, quality gym, clean, and a good balance.
