JD Gyms - Leeds Kirkstall Road Anmeldelser 

Lots of benches and dumbbells.
Lots of weight lifting station.
Lots of cable machines.
Got some others good machine for legs, shoulders and back and Abs.
Lots of cardio machines.
But :
1. Cable machines are all worn out. Need to be replaced and maintain properly.
2. Some equipments for shoulders and back and the biceps machine need maintenance.

Great facilities from the two sites I’ve visited at bolton and leeds Kirkstall. I’d say the bolton gym has a better vibe.

Reason I’ve given it 3 stars is that the places seem to lack soul and customer service. There’s people working and people working out but not much interaction like the place is a well oiled machine but without soul and passion!

Otherwise, great facilities, great app, nice clean facilities and changing rooms.

The weights in the free section at Leeds Kirkstall are all over the place. The labels on the rack are hard to read and PTs never sort the weights in the correct order. Making it an absolute nightmare. The cables also need fixing because every machine that serves the same purpose feels different. Shambolic.

Very easy to use, affordable and lots of equipment available

Started to attend Naveed’s spin classes on either a Friday or Saturday. The best classes I have been to so far at JD gym. The choreography he adds make the spinning classes fun and enjoyable. Definitely recommend!

Good equipment and friendly staff

Everything is good but most of the equipments are damaged

I popped in before I joined and Curtis was very friendly, showed me round and answered all my questions. I am liking the gym and the classes but I do think it can get quite hot in the gym, so more air con would be appreciated!

Wide space, lots of fully functioning equipment. Best gym I’ve been to.

Only didn’t give 5 stars because there’s ~5 cable machines that need their carabiner clip attackers replacing.

Other than that. I absolutely love it here!

Really good - would be good to have more variety of classes available, there are a lot of spin classes for example, but not as many LBT and Body Pump classes throughout the week.

The gym is decent for what you pay. But unfortunately it’s full of inconsiderate students who seem to think leaving weights/equipment on machines/the floor is acceptable. What happened to respecting fellow gym members and tidying up after yourself? Common courtesy must be dead… More signs/staff asking people to put their weights/equipment away definitely needed!

The JD gym in Kirkstall has a lot to offer and lovely staff on all levels..It can seem daunting at first if your a newbie to the gym as it seems to be always busy but as soon you find your bearings there are times it’s quieter. A big shout out to Jamie Dodgson - who’s one of the PT’s there. He gave me a quick induction of the gym, was really approachable and friendly. I was really apprehensive about coming to a really big gym given my last gym was very small but now I look back and think why was I letting my anxiety get the better of me for…From my induction day to present I’ve learnt a lot from Jamie, he’s always happy to help and assist whenever he can. The knowledge gained from him has definitely helped my training for sure and achieving new PB’s when I didn’t think it was possible. Definitely worth speaking to if you are a female wanting to improve or begin your weightlifting journey.

Good equipment and nice people , could do with a sauna for what I’m paying.

I am very excited about this Gym because it has a special area for ladies only.

Great gym with everything you could need in terms of equipment. Only 3 stars as it can be very busy, unless going late at night and machine maintenance could be better as a lot of cable machines are sticky and the leg extension machine, although still usable, has needed fixing for the best part of year now.

Been coming to the gym for just over a month now and loving it. Used to go to Pure Gym but I prefer the size of this gym, the music and all the stations it has. A friendly atmosphere too.

Only thing is the tap nearest the exit isn’t working very well :)
