A good value, if busy, gym.
You get what you pay for, a decent gym. Some of the equipment is very tired and it can be a bit disconcerting when your treadmill or elliptical trainer starts squeaking and shaking during use - there are plenty of these bits of kit though so you learn which are OK pretty quickly. Loads of free weights but machines are fewer and people love to use them as seats for a chat with their mates. If your new to the gym world then there are not a lot of staff on hand to help you work stuff out, it is however clean but always busy. A good value gym.

The gym environment is very large for car parking and other parking options. The gym is very neat, a lot of machines to work with and nice staff.
Overall I love JD Gyms.

Not very clean
There’s a good amount of equipment like treadmills and free weights but not enough of the weights machines (e.g leg pres shoulder press etc) there’s only one of each which for a massive busy gym is not enough. What I really don’t like is the lack of cleanliness, there’s no paper or spray to wipe down equipment and no hand gel, so you go on something and it’s covered with someone else’s sweat which is gross. It’s the only gym I’ve been to with no cleaning facilities.

Unfair
Wrote an a email to cancel membership due health issues, got back email will take up to 21 day to confirm. Waited 28 days until ive been charged 25£, wrote email again, said we charged you , so you can come to gym another month, even i mention i have health issues

The toilet roll dispenser in the femal toilets is very irritating. Sometimes it gets stuck in the little hole that it’s supposed to come out from.

Hull jd gym very busy
Hull jd gym very busy, waiting too much to work out, and when a machine break is no interest to get it fixed for months even if mentioned to the staff. Biceps Scott bench not straight, bolts missing.
09/06/2024 Thank you for your answer from 14th of may 2024, but today 9th of june the machine still not fixed. Is this conform with your quality standards? Can you explain please why still not fixed?

I just love the gym all together
I love the amount of machines, easy access in and out, clean changing rooms. No one makes you feel insecure whist working out.

You get what you can afford
The gym is well equipped and reasonably priced but it's a haven for tiktok users who just stand at the equipment taking photos of themselves and not using anything.
The ground is littered with plastic bottles and sweet wrappers, not a single weight seems to be put back where it belongs and the roidheads skulk around staring everyone down and making noises like they're struggling to pass a bowel movement.
But it's half the price of my last gym and money is tight so you grin and bear it and write a passive aggressive review on trustpilot
