Not staying
Price is good, ease of joining &
Access is good. I’m just not keen on the energy in the club. If it’s not groups of young teenagers it’s individuals sitting on machines for 20 mins playing games in between sets. not the gyms doing...
Signs up would help, customers shouldn’t have to ask ppl politely to stop playing games or texting for ages.
The heating/cooling/air quality is quite bad.
Worse when everyone’s got alot of aftershave on.
Not everyone likes techno beats so it puts me in a negative state even with headphones. (Most ppl have headphones so why are you playing bad music so loud? - turn it down).
The quality of the upper body pin machines is poor , lower body machines are good and the large cable crossovers are great. The plate loaded machines are decent. The burn area upstairs is great if there aren’t others there. The parking is awful, that’s not the gyms fault but management should be doing something.
Ppl park over 2 spaces, or dump their car on the main entrance road because the extra steps needed to park further down in an actual car space is just too much
Hard work.
I just personally can’t focus in there. It’s not a “bad” gym, it’s just not for me.

Good gym. Could do with sauna though to make it a 5 but can’t argue for 21.99 a month

So far So Good...
Fancied a change after being at the same gym for many many years.
So I chose JDs and I'm so glad I did.
Love how spacious it is, so much kit to choose from....spoilt for choice.
And actually decent music!
Definitely recommend.

Toilets are locked after 10
Toilets are locked after 10, makes impossible to attend 24 hours.
Half the treadmills and bikes dont work
No clean water dispenser
Lockers in toilets which are locked have to carry stuff around

Thanks for leaving us some feedback, we appreciate it.
We are a 24-hour gym in Darlington, but due to there being less staff on duty throughout the night, areas which are not covered by CCTV are closed t for the safety of our members (i.e. the main changing rooms and saunas).
We do however leave the accessible changing room open at all times, as well as there being lockers for you to use. If you need to get changed or grab a shower during the night, that option is there for you and you'll have complete privacy in there.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us some feedback. The temperature can fluctuate with the seasons, but we always do our best to maintain a temperature which is comfortable for exercising.
It might feel cool when you're standing still, but once you start your workout it'll feel different.

A very positive experience.
I find the staff extremely friendly and approachable. The machines and the classes are perfect for what I want to achieve. I think if I had one improvement point it would be to make it a bit warmer in there. 👍

Best Gym ever!
I've been to at least 50 different weight training gyms in my life including working in four of them as an instructor. This one is brilliant and the best Ive seen, the largest I've been to, lots of excellent machines and free weights. The member of staff that I contacted by phone and showed me around (Jaimie Lee) was very helpful and positive. I would like to see a few more incline sit up benches, but that's being really really picky and maybe I just didn't spot them!
