JD Gyms - Bradford Anmeldelser 

Not the worst gym and has most of what I need. But considering other JD gyms have way better equipment especially for powerlifting, It's not great and pretty dissapointing.

This gym has crappy worn bumper plates from when it first opened. Other JD gyms have new Elekio bumper plates. The punch bags last a few weeks then no punch bags for months. Clips for the barbell are a pain to find.

99% of the members here don't have the decency to put weights back. Especially on Deadlift platforms. Becomes more of a workout taking weights off the bar than actually Deadlifting itself.

Could at least do with getting Barbell Jack's to get the weight these lazy people leave on, Off the Barbell. Would make it easier for the poor staff that have to put the weights back too.

Seems like poorly placed, Crappy machines are more prioritied here than decent Squat Racks with safety bars and lifting platforms. There's only 3 Squat racks here now. Used to have 7 places to Squat years ago. Two Squat Racks have the rubber missing from the safety bars. Two Squat racks also have dipped uneven flooring.

The latest "Refurb." Was putting in carpet. Who's idea was that to do something so stupid?

It's a shame because it was great when it first opened but gone very downhill ever since.

Could do with taking a look at the JD gyms in Leeds where the equipment is way better and space used much better utilised than here.

Other than that it's convenient being a 24 hour gym, Just a shame it's a neglected one. Hopefully my critisism is constructive and would like to see something be done.

Everything seems well organized, but I wish there was an isolated room/ space for spinning classes

Yesterday, I had a wonderful gym session at Bradford JD gym. A special mention to @Irene for her willingness to assist at any point in time. She really made me feel welcomed, valued, and respected.

The women's area of the gym is very small, I heard it was extended however it is still quite small considering the high number of people who are attending the gym. I personally dont mind going down to the mixed area of the gym, but that was too busy, no fault of the gym as i went during peak time. The vibe isn't right and I just can't put my finger on why, could be down to the lighting and the music was fairly low.

You need to look after the New Beginners. So as to know what and what to do for the start and instructors

I have been a member of the gym for 5 years and have known Fatima for some time. She is one of the best staff members in the gym. She is always happy to help and very welcoming with gym members. Fatima always ensures the gym is in excellent condition. JD gym Bradford is a much better gym with Fatima as part of it.

I like they provide service for ladies onley but I don't like ladies changing area and entrance same as men many people don't feel comfortable by walking through men section.

For the price of the membership, I can't really complain. Yes, the charging rooms are a little chaotic and somewhat grubby, and some of the equipment is past its best, but this is no different to any other gym I've been to. That said, I've seen the same standard in gyms which charge in excess of £80 a month for membership. In that respect, given how cheap JD is, these things can be forgiven.

My only real disappointment is that the branch didn't reply to my email asking for a tour upon my first visit: I didn't know where anything was, didn't know before hand I needed a padlock for the locker (previous gyms I've used offer a key either by putting a £1 coin in or a membership card). I also couldn't get out of the building on my first visit. I didn't realise you had to scan the QR code again to exist. The welcome email only mentions this is how you enter. I had to ask another customer who looked at me like I was stupid. There seems to be no staff present in the gym to ask questions or receive support.

But in comparison to the price of other gyms, I can't grumble.

I dont like the maintenance of gym most of the time machines are not free. No person to guide or see the machines.

Very good customer service always helpful smiling and easy to chat to lady called Fatima always helpful and asks people to put weights back not like the other staff that don’t chat or don’t smile no customer service don’t care about issues in the gym !

I’ve been a member at JD gyms for nearly 2 years and continue to attend regularly. When I first started the gym, I had gym anxiety but I decided to get myself a PT (Fatima) who made me fall in love with the gym. She’s been an amazing support system for me and helped me to achieve my fitness goals. She’s very friendly and approachable and I can always go to her for advice. She’s definitely had a huge role to play in developing a love for fitness and more importantly, building my confidence and self- esteem at the gym. I’ll forever be grateful for her encouragement, discipline and support.

The best gym in whole of Bradford - such friendly people and really really genuine type of people - I had left and I came back just because of David - if I could u would never leave this gym it’s really amazing
