Great gym plenty of equipment available does get a little busy at peak hours as expected but early morning or late evening is spot on

I’ve had no issue with the gym itself but the women’s toilets are mad. Majority of the time there’s no soap (esp when hitting peak hours later in the day) which is filthy in a gym, like 2 of the doors... Vis mer

Hi – Thank you for leaving us a review. We understand the importance of cleanliness when in our gyms. Whilst the cleaning stations have been removed for some time, our cleaning teams frequently go around cleaning the equipment and are always on hand if you do notice anything needs a wipe down, please just let them know.

I really like the new glute area…
I really like the new glute area offering more equipment besides traditional machines you’d find in any other gym. Hybrid area is great too for CrossFit. On the downside, it gets busy with lots of hoggers on their phones. Gym often looks messy with equipment all over the place, missing weight pins etc, but I supposed it’s meant to happen in practically unstaffed gym that’s open 24/7.

Parking: excellent and ample parking facilities. Entry and exit through smart app
Gym itself is lavishly equipped with a wide variety of gym equipment including free weights, plate loading and slot loading machines, various CV equipment, in many ways overkill.
Gym ambience itself is v pleasant with co-operative gym staff in attendance

Barnsley’s branch have mostly untrue…
Barnsley’s branch have mostly untrue classes schedule. When you go to something 8 time out of 10 no coach shows up. They have messed up classes times and everything. Even after feedback was given to the people working in the branch 10 days later the timetable is still wrong and all over the place. This is very very frustrating!

Great Gym/ App Needs Improvement
Its a great gym but oh my days the App is awful like so bad why am i only allowed to come in once and then when i try to come in for a second time the app won’t let me scan myself in. On top of that the app is just genuinely ass in general because compared to other gym apps i can’t even check how many people are in the gym, and i can’t check how many times i have been to the gym.

No anxiety
I've found my experience a good one. Staff are super friendly and very helpful, especially Ellie. No one stands and stares at you (members) they're very polite. I have anxiety and I feel really relaxed when I'm there.

Not good value for money
Many of the machines are out of order despite being newly refurbished.
Nothing is signposted eg there is supposed to be a sauna but there is no sign of one anywhere. There aren't many classes either.

The recent upgrade has given it a beautiful ambiance and some extra space and spread. This allows more people even during peak. Nice equipment that can allow varied workouts without having to wait for someone to finish.

Polite friendly experience
Customer service is good,, staff are helpful and polite only thing I would change at the moment is adding how busy it is to the app so people can tell if your going to be waiting for machines or if like myself you have social anxiety and get nervous in large crowds, gym group have this feature and I find it helpful the only thing I’m swayed from is jd has a better car park so I’m not worried about parking,, I’ll be making my mind up at the end of the month as to which membership I cancel
