Good experience

Perfect Process
The process is clearly outlined and simple to follow for self-motivated people. I had my SOE and first job offer within 7 weeks; two more job offers followed the next two weeks.
The iTeach courses are great for pedagogy. Study.com is better for subject-related content mastery. You’ll be grateful for Study.com when you’re taking your state test.

iTeach is a phenomenal program that allows you to complete your coursework while gaining hands on a experience. The ease of the program and the authenticity of the assignments make gaining your certification as a busy parent and spouse achievable. I already have my Bachelors and Masters degree and felt led to return to education after exploring other careers. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Long process!
I did not like the fact that I could only test in what iTeach approved. I graduated from college 30+ years before I started iTeach. My degree was in home economics but my experience for all those years after graduating were in elementary school. I was only allowed to register for the EC-6 after tutoring. It was such a long discouraging process. But I did finally get a teaching job for 2024-2025 year.

2nd Grade Teacher
I was able to receive my EC-6 certification in a timely manner and am currently a 2nd grade teacher. iTeach was helpful and supportive throughout the program. Communication about expectations and steps could be a little clearer but clarification was easily attained via email or phone call.

Prepared!
iteach prepared me for the classroom and for my certification exams very well. Because of what I learned and the support I recieved, I was able to pass all of my exams the first time and I had the support I needed for my residency experiece.

Great experience
Overall iTeach was a great experience. As long as you stay on top of your assignments, it will be blissful. Instructors grade and respond quickly. The only option I wish iTeach had was an option for people who graduated with a degree in education but could not do student teaching. A lot of the information was stuff that I knew, but I understand that most people who go into education do not Normally take this route. It is something they should consider though.

Caring and empathetic leaders
Caring and empathetic leaders. What stands out to me the most for the iTeach program, was my experience after it was complete. The day after my standard certification was given, my dear co-worker and fellow iTeach graduate passed away unexpectedly. My field supervisor called me and guided me through this incredibly hard experience. One week later, she traveled from out of state to both the visitation and the funeral. I suspect there are very few programs that offer this level of support even after completion.
