Irish Life need people who can understand the English language and dont converse like robots. I was lucky to be in a position to deal through a Health Insurance Broker who was most helpful.

I was very at ease talking and asking questions and i got an answer i understood so for that to me was brillent

Going back and forth with emails just to collect my little Apple pension (which I was forced to contribute due to Ireland law change) just before leaving the country for good.
First time the form that was sent was not on the portal then it did not have the option to receive direct refund...called them and the agent did not help at all so I sent another email and after a few days I received a response that it was a mistake and a new form will be sent. Just got the email once again form is nowhere to be found on the portal and had to ask AGAIN to send the form to me directly....I'm giving 2 stars and not one just because I will get the promised refund in the end but the process...oh the process can kill any patient person...

Irish Life is a subsidiary of a 4 billion Canadian company called Great West (should change its name)....many say that Irish Life caused, by the criminal Actions of its former CEO, the greatest financial Crisis in Ireland. My experience with Irish Life, as one other reviewer here said, is below zero. Cant give details yet due to ex parte injunction, but hope to do so soon so that i can save others from the way i was treated by Irish Life. they have deep pockets so thread carefully....if you can fight the long fight...fight back...good luck ...feel free to share your experiences

The whole experience from the beginning of my diagnosis to this day was so easy

Delighted with the service, it's quick and easy and no hassle at all. I never had to chase my claim. For me at my age, the less hassle the better so thank you soo much.

When I rang Mike he got back to me straight away. Very open and great at explaining. A gentleman.

The financial Advisory is excellent. Very clear financial advice. The advisor has a great personality and knowledge. I would highly recommend Irish Life.

I originally rang Irish Life to ask what investment products are available. The person who took the call said she’d get the sales team to contact me and arrange a review, giving me the time to expect the call. They rang at the time agreed, and gave me the name of the financial advisor, and agreed the time for the review, telling me how long it was expected to take. Pre-review documents were sent to me to fill. The advisor contacted me by email in advance, and the review began exactly on schedule. She was very knowledgeable, understanding and helpful. At the end of the review, she stressed that I’m welcome to call at any time if further questions occur to me, and told me that I’d have the report by email, possibly the next day. In fact, I got it the same day, after office hours. The whole experience leaves me with great confidence in Irish Life.

Once I got onto irish life everything was made easy. Rather than jump true hoops like other companies

If I could rate no stars I would. Appalling service. One doctor in a&e. Waited over an hour and an half for a scheduled appointment for the fracture clinic. The nurse in the fracture clinic made up her own list of who is next to be seen not following the appointment system. People bringing in multiple family members with them blocking up the whole waiting room. The I.T systems were broken so invoices and payments couldn’t be generated. This place is falling apart.

Tried using digital doc to get prescription for back pain relief. Spent about an HR and half with no success, phone contact number just had continuous repeated msg. No video call appts available on day. Finally opted for online doc (45e) and received call within 20mins and prescription faxed to pharmacy. Not good enough Irish Life.

Very disappointed with Irish Life’s handling of my income protection claim. I am recovering following treatment for a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Despite submitting my claim form in February, providing all requested information including medical reports, attending their independent medical referee, and lodging a formal complaint, I have been without pay since March.

Apart from an acknowledgement of my complaint, I have received no substantive update. I have been told only that my income protection claim is still “in discussion”. Income protection is supposed to provide support when it is needed most, but the delay and lack of communication have caused significant financial stress at an already very difficult time.

My overall experience was very satisfying from start to finish

They looked after my hospital cost's and I had no issues. Hence I'm staying with them again this year.

Came here before for an app, to be followed up by another in the post, never received it, they rang to see where I was, said never received such letter, she got off the phone promising to send another letter, never came, rang to book an app, no call back, eventually came in to see what they are doing! To be greeted by 1 receptionist, who clearly couldn’t be bothered to do her job, the other lady was ok, so currently sitting here waiting for yet another app to be made. Update a lovely lady came out apologised and said she would have this sorted as soon as for me and will contact me by the end of the week :)

By turning up for a scheduled appointment. I wasted my whole afternoon waiting. When I contacted Gary, he said he mixed up his dates.
