The survey was booked very soon after the payment was made. The report came back within the estimated 5-7 days after completion and this was very detailed and clear.

Too long from taking payment to getting the report
My purchase was a corporate sale meaning exchange had to take place within 28 days, due to the delay in getting a Level 3 survey report allowed someone time to gazump me as I was unable to exchange until I had the report.
In addition to the charge to instruct the survey, I've incurred charges for searches and legal costs.
I paid for it on 15/8/25, received the report on 17/9/25. After I made payment I had to contact IQS by phone after 5 days as hadn't heard anything which prompted them to instruct the survey. I had to contact them again following the survey for the report. The only thing they did promptly was take payment. I found their telephone team not than interested or understanding of my position each time I spoke to them. If I had known when they took payment it was going to take the time it did I would have gone elsewhere. I then followed their Complaints Policy and didn't even get an acknowledgment of the points I raised in my complaint which says a lot.
The report itself was very good however was no use to me as had lost the purchase by the time I received it. I certainly will not use IQS again. The whole experience has been a waste of my money and time. Looking at previous issues and reviews there's a theme of them taking money but failing to deliver in a timely manner.

Got a L3 survey with IQS, they made the process very easy and provided a top class report. They also offer a call with the surveyor after the survey to go through the findings which a lot of surveyors don’t offer. Would definitely recommend

Fantastic experience with IQS
Fantastic experience with IQS. Their team were very easy to communicate with throughout and answered questions promptly. Linden carried out a L3 survey and our report was sent in the expected timeframe. Great report, very thorough but simultaneously well-explained in understandable language, and lots of images. Very reasonable quote compared to some of the others we received.
Wouldn’t hesitate to use IQS again or to recommend to others.

I booked for a Level 2 survey to because I am investing in a new home
I booked for a Level 2 survey to be conducted. It was arranged in a timely manner and conducted on the day and time as stated. I received my report on time and in an easy to understand format. The explanation of the results was easy to follow and at the beginning of each section, there was an indicator to show what the survey had found. Within the section was an explanation of what the indicator meant. I would highly recommend this company when looking to have a survey conducted.

Survey missed basic issues
We did a Level 3 homebuyers survey from IQS via GOTOGroup for £800.
Overall the survey looked comprehensive, but it failed to highlight basic issues with the property we are now paying dearly for since we moved in 1 month ago.
It told us the fuse board needed replacing, said it would cost £500. It didn't flag that the wiring of the whole kitchen was illegal, costing thousands to rewire & plaster and meaning building insurance was void until sorted, thus delaying move-in.
Didn't flag that the boiler was so ancient that hot water didn't work. Needing immediate replacement for £3k.
Didnt flag that the water pipe from the shower was broken and routed directly onto the lean-to roof.
It described the lean-to roof as "fair", but didn't flag that it leaks in multiple places. We've put buckets down for now, but far from ideal.
Expected better as we paid for the highest tier survey possible for peace of mind.

I can't fault the experience with IQS - quick process from start to finish. The survey was booked in within a couple of days of payment and results sent within a week of completion.
The survey itself was very thorough, to the extent we didn't need to ask questions as everything was covered. I'd highly recommend for home surveys, very clear and detailed explanations of what was found and areas at risk.
