Canceling after 10 years. Ipsy has gone downhill.

Ipsy has switched their carrier to ACI Logistix, which has month-over-month lost my orders. Then I submit for replacement and items are out of stock. So I’ve been paying for a useless subscription. I finally canceled after months of providing feedback and asking for help. I was a loyal customer for almost 10 years. You lost a long time customer Ipsy.

IPSY Seems to Have Outsourced Customers Service to AI Without Giving it Power to Resolve Issue

In my last package (the $30 one), I accidentally clicked in the app and was unable to choose products for my package. I still had several days until shipping time so I reached out to customer service via email and asked for assistance. Next I went ahead and opened a chat to see if the AI chatbot could help or direct me to help. The chatbot told me it could not help but that I should hear a response to my email within 1-2 days. I did not receive any form of follow up and my package shipped without my selection. It appears IPSY has outsourced their customer service to AI without giving AI any authority to solve any issuers or perform actual customer service.

I have used this service on and off for many years and if you are just looking for random things to try or to feel surprised every month you may enjoy it. If you ever need help you will not enjoy it.

Things have changed; not for the better

First, trustpilot, I am confused at how companies are represented when I see an overall review of less than 2.8/5 stars accompanied by a large applaud and claimed "reviewer satisfaction" because the numbers don't add up. I'm hesitant to write because account info is openly shared for reviewers to not be anonymous, therefore accounts could be marked if a less than optimum review was left. I've been w/ipsy for over a decade but had to switch account info (separation) so the company doesn't acknowledge the years of dedication and loyalty prior to the changes after the merger. I have had horrible bag choices/ products chosen for me w/ an average of 1-2 oit of 5 I'll try each month. The reason I've rated average is bc my recent customer service experience was efficient, quick and polite; a far change from being ignored for the prior 7 months. Prices keep rising while brand strength, variety and product size ares decreasing. I keep staying to use the points I am given instead of refunds or exchanges in items never received or sent broken but after 3 months of little choice and the times I've chosen something it was suddenly sold out (then points expire) so as Im writing this, I'm realizing I'm not nearly as placated as I thought and should probably stop wasting the money. P.S. reviews to get points are due now but as usually my products haven't arrived to try once let alone enough for a review. Not fair- especially when I set an alarm to choose immediately and either select "no add-ons" or choose them right away to save the company time as well.

Mi bolsa Glam del mes de Octubre aun no…

Mi bolsa Glam del mes de Octubre aun no ha llegado, chatear con el chatbox es una gran perdida se tiempo. Es la primera vez que me ha sucedido el retraso, pero ya tuve otro problemita con Ipsy. Ellos me han enviado un regalo pero el mal rato aun sigue.
Que tan seguro se que me llegará la bolsa Glam y me cobre por algo que no obtuve.
Según el transporte que realiza la entrega simplemente dice que se perdió y me comunique directamente con el vendedor. Ipsy debería tener un teléfono para atención al cliente y dar un trato mas personalizado a sus clientes.

Amazing

IPSY has completely revitalized my beauty routine! While the curated monthly bags are always exciting, what truly sets them apart is their amazing customer service. On the rare occasion I've had a shipping issue or a question about a product, the support team has been incredibly responsive, helpful, and quick to resolve things, often going above and beyond to make it right.
Beyond the peace of mind that comes with great service, the sheer quality and value of the products are fantastic. Really bummed

Really bummed. I decided to try this out and was soooo excited to get my bag. There was a timeline on the app that showed when I should be receiving my bag and that came and went. I also noticed that the timeline wasn’t moving so it was just stuck on the “assembly” part the entire time. I finally reached out to the customer service app and the robot couldn’t even find me in the system so I was directed to email and I did and thankfully they did get back to me within a day or two. I was told in the email that I had purchased outside of their usual billing cycle (?) and they were working on it and I would be getting an email with a shipping number soon. That was 4 days ago and still nothing and on the app it’s still in the “assembly” stage. I did get an email showing the products that have been picked for me and I was able to add one one but no shipping update or any idea of where my bag is at all. Still just showing the assembly stage and it’s just really frustrating not knowing when I will get this bag. I will most likely be canceling after this as it just doesn’t feel worth it for me

This was my first time trying ipsy and…

This was my first time trying ipsy and I was excited, however, so much went wrong. First I was supposed fo have gotten a discount for the promo which was $9 and then the next day after I put my order through they do a promotion for it to be $4. I was also supposed to get a "free gift" along with me glam bag and never received it. I tried to speak to multiple customer service reps and it was always "can you show screenshots of the order" now I always take screenshot but there was nothing to screenshot. There was no confirmation email. No receipt for my order and when I signed in to look at my current orders it would say "there are no orders." I did however screenshot and show the timeliness it showed for my purchase which, how do I have a timeliness for an order but no order exists? It said 0ct.1st or 2nd my order was placed. Then it was stuck on confirming the order but the payment had already gone through. It said it would be here by oct.17th, nothing updated I had no tracking info for the shipping or ever received emails confirming anything by oct.15th so I emailed customer service. By the 21st, yesterday I finally received my package only to be disappointed. Everything aside from 1 item, was useless to me. I got an eyebrow pencil that doesn't even match my color, bronzer and I don't even use that, some pimple patches I could've gone to the store and got. The value of the glam bag was not at all even above $40, and the perfume i received smelled horrendous. To say I was dissatisfied doesn't even begin to express how I feel about this subscription. I instantly cancelled it the same day I got my package, not because I just wanted to try it out. But because I paid $11 total when the subscription is $14 a month, and with a $9 promo and being as disappointed with the items, I surely wasn't going to start paying more money just to have more items I don't want monthly. I tried allure subscription and they gave me everything I use daily now because they were actually quality products. Maybe as a teenager ipsy is for you but definitely not a woman's makeup subscription service.

Delivery date and lack of tracking

Once I understood how the items in my Boxy Charm were picked I started to update my profile periodically to get a more diverse variety of products. Where my complaint sits is the inconsistent shipping and lack of tracking. The new website used for tracking is a complete joke! It will only show that a label was created for weeks! This month, Oct 2025, was no exception. It is now Oct 21st, the label was create on Oct 6th, and I still have not received my box! The last update on the 19th shows that the box is at a facility, but still no delivery date! I used to get the box about a week and a half after I ordered. Now it is at the end of every month with no delivery date in sight...do better Ipsy!

Boxy Charm used to be the best website…

Boxy Charm used to be the best website for makeup and skin care, but since it merged with Ipsy... it now sucks. Orders take forever, the quality of items is cheap, compared to Boxy. Now I have choices that suck, such as constant lip/eye liners and I once received a beauty blender as MY choice 🤦‍♀️

To be completely honest I rather when I…

To be completely honest I rather when I was dealing with boxycharm. I’m still waiting on my October box which for whatever reason has been sitting in Houston,Tx since October 16 due to a shipping/rerouting error. Or that’s all I’m able to get as far as feedback from Ipsy. Never had any issues with boxycharm which I had been a customer with since 2018

I love the IPSY products I enjoyed…

I love the IPSY products I enjoyed using them. The only concern or complaint was that two bags or two months' subscriptions were charged to my bank, but I haven’t received the glam products. I emailed them and the response was that the October bag is on the way but the other bag they are not replacing because of over 45 days. I asked them if I could have a refund but they said it’s not eligible for a refund and I’m not happy about it.

I used to love boxycharm which is now owned by Ipsy. I have been a customer for years however this past month, October I did not receive my box and it has been such a hassle to obtain a replacement. The customer service representatives take a very long time to respond and when they do there is lack of communication. I received a tracking number for my replacement order that does not even work even after the “48 hour wait time” they recommend. Extremely disappointed with them, a big part of being a good reputable brand is having good customer service and Ipsy is lacking in that.

Iv had pretty good experience

Iv had pretty good experience, only has time time i did receive the right add-on i paid for an they are sending me a replacement for that. Either then that its been pretty good some product I actually love, so i don t think they look at your actual profile to see your likes an dislike. But for the most part it is good

Dont do it

First, they over charge for sample size products. A few items you may only get one use out of which isnt really worth what you pay monthly. Another, when they offer a free gift and show you what you will get they dont send you that product ... it is way different. That is just a few issues and more but I am sure you get the picture in this small review.

lousy service

lousy service. missing items no glam bags x 2 months. my items that came were in an envelope. I left overn20 messages. back n forth with customer service. Nothing got fixed. I requested refund. no response. So frustrating.

I placed an order from the IPSY stores and boxy charm just over a month ago. I just got my order. There was no one to call. I also got an ICON box and the colors were way too dark. Not even close to my profile preferences. Waste of $70. Still haven’t gotten my boxy charm box.

I do very disappointed in you guys you…

I do very disappointed in you guys you want my honest opinion I ready to drop you guys. This month Ipsy glam bag was trashed everything was nasty cover in the face mask. It was all trashed. Can’t believe I wasted money to get trash.You guys keep sending me stuff that don’t even go with my personality thing I had to keep changing through. You guys even reached out and asked me what I wanted to fix what you guys sent me wro and still sent me the wrong things I asked for I am very disappointed
