Difficulty in getting a seal to make it work. When it finally does work, the air puffs up my cheeks and wakes me up.
I gave up on using it and just now waiting for 3 months so I can return it. I’ll end up paying over $150 for a worthless piece of equipment.

I like the dream of using this unit but the bitter reality is far different. Extremely difficult user interface on both the iNAP device and iPhone app. So complicated you have to be a doctor to understand the iPhone app readouts and an engineer in order to get it to sync with the device itself. It was not dumbed down for consumers to use, thus making it unusable. Frustrated that company did not spend money on Ui/UX to make it drop dead simple to use first time every time. I gave up after a week and now unit sits abandoned.company makes all kinds of promises but does not deliver. Run by folks who have no business running a b2c hardware company.

I rarely go out of my way to write reviews but I want to encourage others to try it. Full disclosure: I tried it 80 lbs. ago and it reduced my AHIs but not as well as BiPAP. Now a low, healthy weight, I still have severe sleep apnea untreated, but iNAP gives me better scores than BiPAP ever did, sometimes even having zero drops in SpO2. (I wear an oximeter at night.)

I've been using the iNAP for about two months. I find it easy to keep a seal when I have it adjusted to high. No way would I be able to use a CPAP. I'm too claustrophobic, and I travel a lot.

The iNAP is small and very portable. Plus it's quiet. After getting used to it, I find the mouthpiece comfortable. I just wish insurance covered this device and the parts that need to be replaced every three months.

I am currently trying out the INAP sleep apnea device. I have been using CPAP for 7 years and have never been truly successful. I can't keep it on for more than a few hours every night. I have been using INAP for a few weeks. I like the low profile compared to CPAP. We are planning an international trip and I'd like to bring the INAP. I'm struggling to keep the seal on INAP, however. The customer service is very helpful and my pressure has twice been adjusted up. I wear a bruxism guard on my upper teeth and a retainer on my lower. Somnics said some of their customers can do without their bruxism guards. I tried it and cannot. Last night I tried my latest greater pressure and my seal time was still less than half of my usage time (which was still only 3.4 hours). I think I will try a chin strap tonight to see it that helps. I dread to think I have the same experience with INAP that I've had with CPAP. We shall see.

Can’t get app to work!! Need more suction! I need it to be adjusted from 54 to 70 or 80.

I think the product has been released prematurely and I'm paying a premium to test it for the company. The mouthpiece has broken several times and apart from one time, I've had to pay to replace it. I have yet to reach stats showing success, but that is likely as much to do with my own sleep issues. Medical and customer service have been excellent.

Very positive experience. Michele Carey was especially patient and helpful.

I ordered items that don't fit my machine. It would be nice if there were detailed explainations next to the items. I also wish you made a face/chin strap. No matter how I lay it always falls out of my mouth!

Nurse was a no-show for video screening appointment, due to a clerical error. Otherwise, screening was very easy, and obtaining a prescription likewise.

The app is a bit clunky, as it's not clear what units are expected in the profile. I assumed metric. Deleting one's account is also somewhat non-obvious, although I did find the setting in the app to do so.

I really wanted/needed INAP to work but it has a few fatal flaws.

- tube is too short to have unit anywhere but in bed with you.

- tube out of mouthpiece is straight only and prevents routing tube to any side of head. For a back sleeper this is bad. For a side sleeper that’s fine if you don’t switch positions. For a change position sleeper it is more than inconvenient.

- for jaw grinders mouth piece is not up to the task. Not big enough to wear dental appliance and too small to offer up grinding protection.

- for folks who are mouth breather sleepers, suction is not strong enough to help train you to sleep closed mouth. A jaw strap is a bit useful but could not get the right combination with the other issues mentioned above to make it work.

I have other comments and observations and possible solutions as I am an engineer who solves problems but unless the company works to solve these issues I can’t leave a positive review. Hope is not strong enough to replace missed sleep.

This product has improved my sleep.
However, I do wish that these items didn't need to be replaced so often, or that at least they were not so expensive to replace.

On nights when I have a high percentage of seal time, I have lots of energy and focus the next day. Much more than I typically experienced with c-pap. I'm still working to get seal time more consistent as I tend to be a mouth breather. I used my system traveling this month too. It functioned great while camping at 11,200 ft elevation!

This device has never worked for me as advertised. When I called to request a return for refund I was asked to modify the mouthpiece and try it again. It still didn't work, but enough time had passed that a refund was no longer an option. It was a complete waste of money and time, and I cannot recommend it at all, to anyone.

The service was better than most. It was not 100% smooth getting in touch with their representatives or knowing exactly how to do what when with whom. The device was a total failure for me. I never gained an extra instance of sleep from using it. The first time I tried it, the machine didn’t seem to have enough suction to keep my mouth shut, and it kept me from clearing my throat and spitting without taking it off. The company sent me a replacement mouth piece quickly enough, but that one created blisters on my tongue. So I sent the machine back. Don’t know if I got a refund yet.

I lost the charger and have barely used it. I contacted customer service. They could not provide me the one from the company but rather sent me a pic of one I could order. I could not see the writing on it so I have yet to figure out what I can get to replace it….and yet I keep paying it off each month. Sad that it didn’t work out.

I really like the product when it works. It took me a year to figure out why sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't work. I finally figured out! The problem is, INAP has a design flaw. If the tubing is bent/kinked you cannot breath and you involuntarily spit out the mouth piece in your sleep. If the manufacturer put a simple spiral spring around the device end of the tube or reinforced the tube at the entry point to the device it would not bend or kink.

When it does not kink it is brilliant, small, easy to travel with, i can go camping with it and no need for external power. That part is fantastic! Just fix the tubing.

did not work for me - had to get the cpap

I feel that it is much easier to use then a Cpap machine. I would like to see that I would be able to make adjustments myself.
