Excellent service
I chatted to Homes and Floors on the phone because I'd never bought flooring before and didn't know what I needed. They were really helpful and went out of their way to source the right product. It arrived very quickly and is really good quality.

Order left in middle of the road
Delivery has turned up this morning and left the entire pallet in the middle of the road. This road is frequently used and it cannot be left there all day! I’ve got major back issues and have had to move these boxes onto the pavement until my partner comes home from work to move it all! Completely disgusted with the delivery drivers response when I asked if he could move it closer! Very disappointed and will probably have a huge expense on physio appts from my flare up on my back after moving al these boxes. Thanks!!!

Hi Chloe,
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We employ third party pallet logistics networks for all nationwide deliveries (in this case Palletforce network). As you have rightly pointed out, the driver was negligent in leaving the pallet on the wrong side of the kerb and the delivery should have been made onto the pavement. We apologise for your experience and have raised this issue with the delivery depot who have advised improved training for agency HGV drivers.
Kind Regards

Beautiful oak white oak floor
Shahid was very helpful and kind in providing information about the floor and even sent me videos of the woods so I could have a better idea. I ordered more floor that I needed and whilst returning wasn’t an easy option, Shahid was helpful in suggesting other alternatives. Perhaps being clearer on returns policies would help more customers in the future. Other than that floor is beautiful and matching the expectations

A little discrepancy in width...
Received samples at first, found good quality surface so ordered one. All comunication and ordering process nice and easy. But when the day came and my builder started to lay solid oak floor boards down (floors was left inside my house for 3 weeks) we noticed that many boards do not precisely match in with! A little discrepancy (arround 1mm or some even 2mm) didn't let us to get rid of gaps which should've not been seen. Oak itself and a surface finish was very good.

Svar fra Homes and Floors
Hi Roland,
Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated.
Some notes/guidance below for those requiring further information:
When working with solid oak flooring there are tolerances in dimensions due to how real wood expands/contracts naturally. These are typically + or - 1mm on width/length and + or - 0.1mm on thickness.
It is also important to allow acclimatisation of the wood for several days and make sure the humidity and temperature readings are with the recommended range as per the instructions.
Kind Regards
Shahid Sharif
