The initial measuring appointment was cancelled when the fitter turned up 3 hours ahead of my scheduled appointment window and insisted I was wrong, despite having confirmation emails proving he was in the wrong. He then could not return at the scheduled time and as such was left waiting a week for a new appointment.
On the morning my blinds I ordered 6 weeks previous were due to be installed, I received an email stating my fabric was out of stock, which incurred an additional 10 week wait, in the height of summer, in a new build house.
The quality of the blinds are okay, but certainly not outstanding. I could never recommend hillarys to anyone considering curtains or blinds based off the awful experience I have had.

Quality products and customer focused business. I’d definitely recommend their services and make sure you understand your order drawings. For some reason my order wasn’t exactly how I expected but the customer service team was fair and polite handling and resolving the issue.

Arrived on time. Punctual Installed frame very expertly. Cleaned up afterwards.

I ordered the blinds in July, all monies taken i am now in October and find it really difficult to contact them. Never heard of a co taking all the monies before the blinds are fitted. Would definitely not recommend. I worked off the reviews before ordering so im surprised with the service im getting.

Very disappointing experience with Hillarys Ireland.

I honestly don't know where to start. The surveyor who came to measure the blinds measured them incorrectly, resulting in blinds that didn't fit properly when they arrived. To make matters worse, one blind was completely forgotten from the order, requiring an additional visit just to install the missing item.

The installation itself was equally frustrating. Because some of the blinds were too large, the installer used sandpaper to scrape away part of my wall, right down to the metal corner bead underneath, and then left the damage unrepaired and unpainted.

The blinds were electric, yet the installer appeared unfamiliar with how to programme them. I was directed to a video call with another engineer to try to get them working, but that was unsuccessful because the blinds had not been fitted correctly in the first place. As a result, the same installer had to return again to rectify the issues. In the end, I programmed the final blind myself.

The entire experience felt disorganised and lacked any real customer focus. Due to repeated mistakes by the company, the installation had to be completed over multiple visits, causing unnecessary disruption to our home. As a family with young children, this meant taking additional time off, rearranging plans, and dealing with inconvenience that could easily have been been avoided through proper measurement, communication, and quality control.

What disappointed me most was how the damage to my wall was handled. The contribution towards a painter to repair and repaint the damaged area was only offered after months of back-and-forth communication and repeated attempts on my part to get the issue resolved. It was only when I informed Hillarys that I was considering seeking legal advice that any meaningful action was taken. By that stage, it felt less like a genuine effort to put things right and more like a response to pressure.

Delays and mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a company responds. Unfortunately, there was very little accountability, poor communication throughout the process, and a lack of genuine customer care.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend Hillarys Ireland.

Whisper 315383 fit and installed my kitchen blinds today. He was a pleasure to work with. He helped me select the right blinds for my kitchen and gave me a good, fair price for the blinds that I preferred. His communication was excellent and arrived promptly to install them. The installation was quick and he cleaned any residue left behind from the installation. I love my new blinds!

Alan-Rocket, was the Hilary Consultant/Fitter. We booked for our consultation online, which was very straightforward and efficient. Alan-Rocket contacted us and a date to visit was arranged. Alan Rocket arrived on time, he listened to our requirements and made suggestions which helped realise our vision perfectly. He contacted us before fitting to let us know when he would arrive to fit. His work here was efficient and he cleaned after himself, we hardly knew he was in house. He ran through the workings and answered our questions. We are delighted with the finished product and we highly recommend Alan-Rocket for your Blinds/Curtain projects.

Smooth and stress-free experience overall. We got 4 Roman blinds fitted in less than a month. Booking the advisor and ordering sample fabrics from the website was very straightforward. We particularly liked these features as it helped us get an accurate quote and to pick the most suitable fabric for our blinds.
James fitted the blinds and we are very happy with the outcome. Communication was easy, he was forthcoming in explaining the product, precise with the measurements, and very quick to get them installed on the day of fitting.
