Hi there,

As we communicated with you at the time, we discussed your feedback with our driver-guide.

There were some changes made to the itinerary due to weather, business of certain locations and a late running ferry. Your guide confirmed you stopped in the following locations for lunches.

Day 1: Fort Augustus https://www.visitscotland.com/info/towns-villages/fort-augustus-p236671 This is a beautiful, touristic spot at the south end of Loch Ness – there are many options for lunch here. This is where is mentioned in the itinerary.

Day 2: Uig, Isle of Skye. https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/skye/uig/index.html Usually we would stop at Portree for lunch on day 2, however, there was a cruise ship in the town, meaning it was incredibly busy and so would be difficult for everyone to get lunch here. Uig is a small village in a stunning location, with a number of places to eat at. This was explained to the group, it was not done without reason, as the clients state.

Day 3: Broadford, Isle of Skye https://www.visitscotland.com/info/towns-villages/broadford-p236301 dominated by the Cuillin Mountains, this is another scenic spot. On this day the ferry from Armadale to Mallaig was delayed by Calmac (the ferry company). Rather than not eating, as the ferry would get the Mallaig later than a normal lunch time. Iain chose another option, with various places to eat. This was also explained to the group.

Day 4: Callandar - https://www.visitscotland.com/info/towns-villages/callander-p235441 the gateway to the highlands – another pretty town full of many options for lunch, as described in our itinerary.

At no stop would the only option be a gas station, if the clients chose to visit a gas station this would be been their choice, but it would never be the only option. Iain has confirmed he always points out the options in each stop for food, allowing guests to make their own choice where to eat. He also allows people to grab something quick and take it on the bus, if they would prefer to explore the location they are in as many are popular locations to explore.

On the 3rd day – Iain visited the Fairy Pools – a very popular location – I’m sorry the clients were unhappy with this stop. They also visited Armadale and Armadale Castle, before getting the ferry from Armadale to Mallaig. There was extra time, due to the later ferry departure I previously mentioned and Iain would have explained during the trip. It is not our fault they were unprepared for wet weather. We advise everyone prepare for rain and sun as this is Scotland! We have famously changeable weather. https://www.scotland.org/about-scotland/weather

We estimated the cost for breakfast, based on a full cooked breakfast in Scotland (£20 per day). As we advised at the time, if the guests could advise where they went for breakfast and how much was spent, we would be happy to cover the cost of this.

Hi there,

Our check-in time is 7:45am for the tour, and the bus leaves at 8:00am. You arrived late, and since our driver-guide could not hold up the tour for the rest of the passengers to wait for latecomers, you missed the tour.

When you first called us, you yelled at our sales agent to demand for the address of the first stop so you could get there by taxi, our sales agent politely told you that she could not give an exact address and time without confirming with our driver-guide. The sales agent tried to call the driver-guide for you, but she could not pick up the phone, as she was driving and it would be illegal. The sales agent explained this to you and that she would get back to you as soon as she had heard from the driver-guide, and you replied by verbally harassing the sales agent even though she was trying to help you. After the driver-guide got back to us what time and where you could meet the tour, we immediately informed you. You replied with some more verbal abuse and eventually agreed to meet the tour there.

After you met the driver-guide on tour, you continuously yelled at her on the bus throughout the day. We were also notified that you were very disinterested in Skye itself and refused to leave the bus to see the Fairy Pools, one of the main attractions of the tour.

You then informed the driver-guide that you had a train ticket that evening and demanded the tour be cut short for everyone so you could make your train. We do not advise for anyone to travel on the same day of the tour as we cannot guarantee the exact return time due to traffic and unforeseen circumstances. This is stated on our website and on third-party booking sites. After our driver-guide explained this to you, you decided, once more to verbally abuse her and demanded to be driven back to Inverness. She kindly explained that she could not change the tour for all the passengers because you had a train to catch, but she would try her best to make it on time to Inverness. You were dissatisfied with this and left the tour early, at which point we could no longer help you.

You then decided to spam our social media sites with profanities, posting over 50 comments and 10+ reviews which we have now reported as harassment. We have received no other complaints or negative feedback about this tour.
