the pick up timing was on spot! the Coach was clean and had wide windows, the driver and tour guide which was the same person (Alex) was funny, very informative, hilarious easy going and incredibly helpful. He was a big part of this tour. We were taken to every spot we wanted to go, gave us the time to explore and take pictures, the climate inside the coach was great, never felt the outside cold. It was one of the best tours we had in Scotland. By Far!!

Best of Scottland in a day
We had a wonderful day, thanks to Hugh our guide, driver and friend for the day ;-) He explained us several stories, helping to understand the roots of the Scottish history and the key roles of the visited places in that. This tour had everything we wanted to have just in a day.

The tour guides were very very friendly! I’m sorry I didn’t catch their names properly, but I believe it was JR and another gentleman. Very fun guys, very safe trip. And plenty of history and legends! Also, thank you for being so patient with us and not leaving anyone behind!

We booked the Isle of Skye tour on 17th…
We booked the Isle of Skye tour on 17th of october 2024 on “get your guide”. The tour was unfortunately a big disapointment.
1)
Our Guide Donnie talked so much about whisky all day, that we felt we missed out on information of the beautiful Nature we drove by.
2)
Donnie took a detour because we had to go into a place where they sell chocolate and they didn't open until 10am. Therefore, we arrived later at Isle of Skye
3)
In the tour description it says that we should taste whisky in Tallisker. We didn't go there at all, he took us to "The Misty Bottle" instead - a little shop - and told us not to tell the Highland Experience Tours. We are disappointed that we were not going all the way out to Tallisker so we could have seen more of the Isle of Skye. It seems - on the map - that Tallisker Distillery is located very beautifully. By mail the Highland Experience Tours informed us, that Tallisker never was a part og the tour - even though I attached a screenshot telling otherwise.
We really think we missed out on Isle of skye on this trip and after having corresponded with Highland Experience Tours 3 times, I see no other solution as giving them a bad review, so that other knows about it.

We are saddened to read your negative and damaging review of our Skye & The Fairy Pools Tour.
First, we regret that you did not enjoy the guide's commentary on whisky. Our guides receive extensive training to provide you with a fulfilling, informative, and well rounded experience. We do appreciate your feedback about the emphasis on a certain subject matter and this has been reviewed internally.
As discussed through email, the itinerary of this tour is flexible and is subject to change according to our Terms and Conditions. Our drivers will tweak the itinerary to be able to give you the best experience on the day, and are required to make rest stops to ensure passenger comfort and safety. We apologise that the first stop was not to your liking.
Unfortunately, this tour has never stopped at Talisker Whisky Distillery. We have investigated this situation and are unable to confirm your claim regarding the itinerary. Regardless, as stated above, the stops are subject to change and you are not guaranteed to visit specific locations, although your guide will do their best to take you to as many wonderful places as possible. We are shocked that you would leave a 1-star review for this reason, and we do not believe this matches the experience you had on tour.
However, we appreciate all feedback as we work to constantly improve our tours. We do hope you were still able to enjoy the spectacular scenery of Skye during your tour and the rest of your time in Scotland.

Excellent Guide, Excellent Service
Our guide, Neil, made us feel welcome the entirety of our 3-day Highlands tour. When the weather wouldn’t cooperate, he still made sure we had things to see and do in the Highlands. Even “after hours” on the tour he made himself available for recommendations on places to eat and drink in Inverness.
Neil went out of his way to accommodate us whenever it was feasible, including our desire to see a “hairy coo” up close and personal. I will not forget my experience in the Highlands anytime soon thanks to Neil!

Absolutely amazing experience
Absolutely lovely trip. Great comfort, well scheduled and planned. You cannot change the nature or alter the weather in Scotland - luckily. But to make a great tour, you need an engaged tour guide, who interacts with the group, is willing to deliver extra information and answer all of the questions people may have about Scotland. We had an amazing experience with Hugh, who made our 3-day trip an extraordinary experience. It was not only the bagpipe that made the difference, it was the person with it.

Itinerary and guide Spectacular!!
The itinerary was spectacular, long day ((approx. 360 miles covered) but enjoyed it very much. Our tour guide Allan was truly amazing, his knowledge of the history was so incredible. He was truly delightful and helpful.
The only slight negative was when we stopped to use facilities the food choices were very limited. If I were to do again I would pack a great lunch and more to take on trip!
It truly was a spectacular day and Allan rocked the kilt!! ❤️

Our Tour Guide Hugh was the absolute best. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and told amazing stories. His jokes and stories were the best. We want to return to Scotland and book a 2 day sky tour with Hugh. We did many tours on our trip to Norway and Scotland and this one was the absolute best of both countries.
