I was very excited to receive the outfit I ordered for an annual Bollywood dinner event.

When it arrived i immediately opened it and colour was gorgeous. Upon looking at the items I was really happy and couldn't wait to try it on. I went to try it on and I couldn't open the zip - the zip was broken. (Things happen, no big deal I thought, I have a few weeks until my event)

I contacted the company straight away and this is where I was completely shocked with the extremely poor customer service. They were so unhelpful, rude and I was left with a top I couldn't wear and feeling very frustrated.

I would not recommend this business - which is a shame as the outfit would have been lovely had they offered to fix it and resend me another top.

Avoid.

I have placed an order for two Punjabi suits for $271.62 Canadian. I requested to cancel the order within 24 hours. I find it is too expensive. The company has not responded or replied to any of my emails. Also no one answers their WhatsApp phone number. I am afraid they will keep my money, not cancel the order and not fulfill the order. I will have to get help of my credit card company to get refund. I hope I will get my money back. I read some of the previous reviews for this company. So I am quite afraid now. I will update this review as I see what happens next. This is update on this review. I am having lot of problems with this company. The guy from this keep communicating with me through WhatsApp though I asked him to communicate through email. I asked his name but he did not give that to me. I do not want to communicate with him. I am very upset. I am 70 years old lady who is legally blind. And it takes me lot of time to type on WhatsApp. Lot of my time has been wasted. I think all other reviews are correct about having bad experiences with this company. I placed my order before I read all the negative reviews but I also read on google that the company does refund you if you request cancellation within 24 hours but this guy is now saying I can’t cancel. So it seems I have lost $278.41 unless if my credit card company can get it for me. This is a very bad company. All good companies cancel order and refund you right away or very fast. I have waited now almost a week. This is extremely bad experience for me. Some Indian companies can be very bad. I wish I had read the reviews before and believed them. Though I told the agent this order was placed in error and to cancel it he said it can’t be cancelled. This is wrong to do that. He could have cancelled it. Now the only way I can get my money back is if I don’t get this order within 30 days. I received my order in time. The company is asking me to remove this review. Instead I have modified it saying that I had requested cancellation of the order within 24 hours as I found that the merchandise was too expensive for me. The company refused to cancel the order even though I made several requests. I think other prospective customers should know of my experience. Also there are quite a numbers of places where edges are not serged or finished in these garments. Some other alterations also need to be done. So for all this I will have to pay locally to somebody to do all this work. So it is important for this review to remain in Trustpilot.

They advertised — lime green top and pants

Top is somewhat closer to the picture

But the pants was not at all

Purchasing process was simple. I chose Ready to Ship standard sizing and received my lehenga right on time sent a quick email just as a follow-up and received a prompt response. Good quality lehenga at reasonable price. Very very happy with my first purchase with hatkay. No doubt I will be purchasing again. Thank you hatkay team

I was so surprised at how well it fit right out of the box. No tailoring needed at all. Definitely exceeded my expectations

This most horrific experience i ever had. They are thugs and selling indian street quality product sorry i think those products are better than Hatkay shit. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Their product and service are so cheap and they don’t have customer service. Beware please don’t waste your money.

2 stars for shipping quickly only. Totally disappointed. I paid $150 USD and got a Halloween costume. The material is awful. The quality is terrible. Do not waste your money on this company. They are shady and unprofessional. They found a comment I had left on their Facebook and removed it. Not before asking me to remove it. They sent me a photo of the comment I made and asked me to delete. I contacted them throughout this experience on Whatsapp and they were so totally unprofessional. I was being called sis constantly. Can hardly understand their English. SHADY COMPANY. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. $150 LESSON LEARNED

I ordered 2 dresses, one fits and one is completely off. And they are expensive ($170). I sent them pictures of their measurements to show how both dresses are completely off in sizing, but they didn't respond. $$ wasted, never buying from them again.

HORRIBLE COMANY THAT SCAMS!

I made a purchase last month for 3 sarees. After I purchased them I was told one was out of stock. They offered for me to pick another item, however that saree was for an occasion so I declined to pick a new one and instead asked for a refund. They tried to pressure me into picking another item, but I continued to state that I wanted a refund. I never received a reply.

Weeks later I received 2 out of the 3 sarees I ordered. I informed them that since one was out of stock I would like a refund. They initially refused due to "policy" but then decided to give me a refund. This was NOT A FULL REFUND. I then asked for a full refund and was told that I would have to pay shipping costs for my order since it cost under $250. I informed them that my order was actually $282. They told me that without the third saree my order did not qualify for free shipping. I tried to explain that the issue with the third item was not in my control nor my fault but they continued to say that they would not refund me even though the error was on their part. I asked for a manager multiple times and was ignored. I sent an email and was also ignored. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DO NO T REFUND ERRORS THAT THEY COMMIT DUE TO "POLICY" I DO NOT RECOMMEND SHOPPING HERE.

These people are cheats and DO NOT send item as is. Outfit I got looks like a frock with so much extra fabric on the stomach area you'll look pregnant. I asked for a discount for my inconvenience for not being able to wear this outfit and they've caused me nothing but heartache and a headache. Stay away from this site and these people! All I wanted was a 30% discount. To send item back it was costing me $153 when I paid only $101 for the outfit. So I didn't want a full refund. But being such a big clothing company they are STINGY AND GREEDY! They refused any form of compensation. They even remove reviews. They removed my previous review from the site. So don't believe in good reviews cause they remove all bad ones. Go to ANY other clothing website but stay away from this one!

The clothes are always delivered on time and they look exactly like in the pictures. I highly recommend Hatkay to anyone who wants to buy high-quality, stylish and affordable clothing.

I ordered an Anarkali dress and just received it. The suit is stunning and looks even better in real life than on the pictures. The service is also very professional and the people who work there are all very friendly and nice. I would definitely recommend this website and will be ordering more clothes!
