Halsted was efficient, understanding, reasonable, and supportive. They helped me get on the other side of my debt and feel more responsible finally. The website and payment portal is clean and easy to understand and navigate. They are beyond flexible, and reach out appropriately. I am very grateful for their services and to pay off debt quickly, I even payed it all off early with their encouragement. This has been a wonderful experience, I don’t know why I was scared to face my debt for so long. Most of all, I now have the stability to get myself out of debt. This company doesn't know how to process payments. I tried to settle an account with them and agreed to a settlement and then set up payments with them. The first 8 payments went through and then they started saying the payment was declined even though it was the same account with plenty of funds in the account. I would check with my Fidelity customer service and they would say no payments were declined on my account, so they obviously didn't try to process those payments. Then after a couple of month of me dealing with this and trying to get them to process the payment correctly, I received a letter from Stenger and Stenger Law saying that I owe way more than the agreed amount with Halsted. They clearly just wanted to collect some payments and then sell the account at the original amount instead of the settled amount. What a crooked company!
