Very useful and well done app. The story mix humour and serious parts. Voices, text, grammar, vocabulary: you learn at your own speed. It is short enough to be done regularly, not bothering at all. And you can even speak with IA! I like it so much that I can’t stop after 2 years and say good bye to the Delavigne team. I warmly recommend Gymglish !

Excellent french course, holds my interest. Well presented with humour. I've learnt so much in five 10 minute weekly sessions.

Three years ago I took a few French classes and was offered online tutorials by the name Frantastique.
Frantastique was offered at a discount because of my studies enrollment.
After 1 year, I had to stop taking French classes for personal reasons and when I tried to cancel my Gymglish subscription I could not. So I have been paying £16.20 per month for two additional years for an online app that I cannot use at this time.
This practice should be illegal. The way Gymglish sets up the billing, the consumer cannot even discontinue the direct debit. I am being extorted til 2025.
So take heed the warning ⚠️ ‼️

Your company desire for sustainability should not be met by holding customers hostage. If your company has to resort to this type practice then something is wrong with your business model.

In any event, thanks for the hard lesson learned and I am still warning your prospective customers to beware. The discount sounds great but being stuck for three years defeats the initial benefit.

The lessons are entertaining but also rigorous and well structured. They are a phenomenal supplement to in-person language lessons and I feel I have made much more progress than I would have done without them. The AI conversation function is also a huge help and confidence booster.

Their customer service is also super prompt and friendly!

Je suis enchantée des cours avec Gymglish. J’apprécie la proposition d’un apprentissage ludique autour de personnages facétieux et cependant précis car le vocabulaire et la grammaire ne sont pas négligés.

Ich erlebe gymglish für Englisch und frantastique für Französisch als die tollsten Sprachkurse, die ich bisher erprobte. Seit der Pandemie bin u. bleibe ich mit Spass und guten Fortschritten dabei. Die Kurse sind erschwinglich u. preislich angemessen für die Qualität.
Die Mischung aus oft witzigen Hörverständnis- Videos in normaler oder langsamer Darbietung mit Übungen zu Redewendungen, Wortschatz und auch Grammatik ist perfekt.
Hilfreich erlebe ich die Benutzung britischen wie auch amerikanischen Englischs.
Gut finde ich, dass wenig mit multiple choice Aufgaben gearbeitet wird ; solche löse ich meist gut ,aber ohne dauernden Lernerfolg. Die Videos am Schluss der Lektion aus Filmausschnitten sind oft hinreissend.
3x pro Woche Lektionen passt bei langfristiger Teilnahme gut, im 1. Jahr waren 5x super.

I found it fun to begin with. Then after I'd signed up and the cooling off period was over the quality dropped appreciably. There was less and less listening content. And despite my feedback I kept getting lessons on the French pension system - I'm never going to be interested in that, and why is the AI not responding to my feedback. I want to quit, but am told by Elodie at Customer Service that I can't. But as she's repeated herself in two messages I suspect that she's AI as well. My advice: watch videos for free on YouTube and save yourself a fortune.

The lessons seem to be tailor-made. The various dialects are meeting the reality as we recently could experience in the UK. And I love the humour. It‘s by far better than my English lessons at school.

Gymglish is a good way to maintain my english, giving a regular exercise, always very entertaining and full of humor. Many thanks.

Las lecciones son muy entretenidas, con temas actuales. Explican una y otra vez las áreas que aún no se han aprendido.

Un peu déçue……leçon très courte chaque jour avec grammaire et compréhension de phrases et mots : 4 exercices ensuite
Puis une petite conversation avec une application avec une IA : les fautes ne sont pas corrigées….., et l’IA ne répond pas aux questions…..j’ai demandé le nom pour traduire le “ mari de ma fille”, la reponse est
“grand son”. Je réponds que je cherche le nom de son mari et non de son fils, la question est éludée et on passe à autre chose. Je doute faire des progrès ainsi……

Gymglish a une technique d'apprentissage très efficace.
L'utilisation de l'IA au service de l'expression orale, me paraît une excellente idée.
L'équipe est très cool sur les conditions d'utilisation du site( contenu des leçons encore disponible malgré la fin de l'abonnement, par exemple)

Las lecciones no están mal pero fue un gran error coger la suscripción de los 36 meses. Entiendo que el precio es más bajo si contratas esos meses pero lo que no entiendo es por qué no se puede llegar a ningún tipo de acuerdo por irse antes. Me han obligado a pagar los 36 meses cuando llevo más de un año sin usar la plataforma...todavía me tengo que esperar hasta febrero de 2025. Me parece una locura porque yo les he transmitido en varias ocasiones que para mi los contenidos no son tan buenos como yo los percibí al principio y no estoy haciendo uso de ello. No consigo entender cómo una plataforma así no tiene algún tipo de recurso, por ejemplo pagar una vez 20€ de penalización por cancelar la suscripción antes.

I'm learning English for more than a year with Gymlish. I try to improve my English, especially talking. The stories and the by now well known figures are pretty nice. I like this kind of exercise, because I can keep it in my mind. I'm not good in learning vocabulary, but with all these combinations I make progress. And last but not least Bruno talks to me at the end of the lessons. I can decide by myself if I want to talk to him or if I give my answers written. That was a big surprise and I like it. The Gymlish team is very creative and attentive. So I can find new exercises every day.

Il ya 3 ans j'ai décidé d'améliorer mon anglais profitant de la situation liée à la Covid, je me suis inscrite à Gymglish. Je n'ai jamais raté un seul cours (quotidien) tant je suis devenue addict !
Les cours sont construits sur une histoire très structurée avec des personnages aux personnalités très affirmées ; tout cela permet d'aborder des situations variées proches de la vie quotidienne. Les acteurs ont beaucoup de talent, la créativité est surprenante et il y a beaucoup d'humour. Les leçons sont riches en vocabulaire, en grammaire. Il y a aussi de l'audio.
On constitue un cahier numérique contenant les mots appris ou à revoir, les notions de grammaire etc...
Les méthodes pédagogiques sont excellentes et productives (je suis une ex-prof de physique) et on apprend en s'amusant, en se cultivant aussi. Ces cours sont une richesse et une ouverture sur le monde.
Vraiment, je recommande ces cours

Depuis 2 ans de cours, je me sens maintenant à l'aise avec l'Italien y compris avec ce que je trouvais difficile et ne pas pouvoir intégrer. Il faut être régulier bien sûr. Les cours sont simples à priori, ludiques et l'acquisition de la grammaire, du vocabulaire et des conjugaisons se fait progressivement et sans douleur. La relation avec l'équipe Gymlish est toujours encourageante. Le suivi est parfait. La pratique orale est arrivée dans les dernières semaines de cours et m'a fait faire un bond dans l'apprentissage.

Bis vor kurzem waren die Frantastique-Lektionen im Anfängerstatus die reine Freude: charmant und witzig, liebevoll illustriert und immer ein ganz kleines bisschen überfordernd - so wurde es nie langweilig. Wunderbar!
Doch seit ein paar Tagen wurde in den "normalen" Status geschaltet.
> Die Geschichten und Illustrationen sind Geschmackssache, ok. Aber es ist schön, dass jede Lektion so vielfältig gestaltet ist.
> Die Übungen sind in der Regel gut lösbar.
> Die Korrekturen sind wirklich hilfreich.
> ABER: Das Vokabular der nun französischen Anweisungen übersteigt den bisher erlernten Wortschatz. Man versteht zwar in etwa, was man tun soll, aber möchte ja auch unbekannte Wörter nicht einfach übergehen.
> Die anklickbaren Übersetzungen helfen da kaum weiter: Sie sind so frei, dass sie keine Hilfe bieten, unbekannte Vokabeln zu erschließen und diese in den eigenen Wortschatz übernehmen zu können.
> Die Konsequenz: Man muss extra im Wörterbuch oder digital nachschauen, was das eine oder andere unbekannte Wort bedeutet. Das ewige Nachschlagen ist frustrierend, weil es fast mehr Zeit in Anspruch nimmt als die Bearbeitung der eigentlichen Aufgaben. So können die Lektionen nicht mehr zügig abgearbeitet werden, und es dauert insgesamt viel zu lange. Eine Vokabelliste könnte helfen.
> Insgesamt ist mir der Lernfortschritt zu gering. Ich habe mich jedenfalls auch noch auf zwei weiteren Portalen angemeldet und bin in einem VHS-Kurs.
> Die Antworten des Service-Teams sind eher wenig hilfreich und wirken lustlos.
So macht das gerade leider weniger Spaß - dafür ist das Programm aber zu teuer!

It helps a lot if the experience of learning is fun, and that’s what is so attractive about Frantastique. I genuinely look forward to the lessons, so I’ve signed up for further 3 years! I have every confidence that one day I will do my school French teacher proud; (I know I can’t yet say that particular sentence in French).
