I would not recommend this company. I had a monthly subscription and it wa a renewed automatically. They make it very difficult to cancel and then say you could transfer your account to another person if you send their credit card details. We’re sorry to read that you were disappointed with your experience, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify what happened.
You enrolled in March 2024 with a 12-month subscription paid in monthly installments, which, as noted at purchase, is a commitment for the full year and renews automatically under the same conditions unless the auto-renewal is disabled before the renewal date. Because the auto-renewal had not been deactivated, your plan renewed in March 2025 for another 12-month period.
When you contacted us in November 2025, the subscription was already well underway, which meant we could not cancel the current commitment (running until March 2026). However, we immediately cancelled the auto-renewal so that your plan will not renew again after March 2026.
We never require customers to transfer their account or share anyone’s credit card details — that option is simply offered as an alternative when a long-term subscription is still active, but it is never an obligation.
Finally, we’re sorry if accessing the lessons through our apps caused confusion. We’ll share your feedback with our technical team to continue improving the user experience.

Very bad support - paid money for nothing
I had a Spanish course booked for a year and my phone always crashed when I tried to open the app. There was NO HELP from the support at all and I did not get any refund. Worst support ever. Will never book from them again. Which is a shame because the course was humouros and learning war fun. Well.

Insgesamt hat das Systemsonst einen ansprechenden Aufbau; die Kosten sind allerdings viel zu hoch. Ich werde keine kostenpflichtigen Kurse buchen.

Frantastique? Nicht, wenn man sich auf Frankreich vorbereitet
Frantastique enttäuscht mich zutiefst, und wäre ich nicht noch 1 1/2 Jahre daran gebunden, würde ich es sofort kündigen.
Der Hauptgrund: Es ist chaotisch - geht z.B. bei Grammatik nicht systematisch vor, sondern wirft einem zu unterschiedlichsten Themen kleine Bröckchen hin und fragt zum Teil Wissen ab, das es nicht vorher vermittelt hat.
Ich möchte in Frankreich sprachlich klarkommen, mich ausdrücken können, die Leute verstehen. Stattdessen lerne ich Wortschatz, den ich mit Sicherheit nie benötige, ob ich nun irgendwo "de" oder "du" verwenden muss (was völlig egal ist, wenn ich mit Leuten reden will) und irgendwelche Feinheiten unterschiedlicher Zeiten (was ebenfalls völlig egal ist, wenn ich mit Leuten reden will).
Ich mochte den Humor der Probefolgen - wenn etwas witzig ist, lernt man leichter, und es machte Spaß. Der hat sich im Lauf der Folgen aber deutlich geändert. Heute zum Beispiel: Zwei Frauen treffen eine Auswahl zwischen Hunden, die sich für den AIGF beworben haben und lachen sich halbtot, weil einer davon, ein Labrador hässlich sei. Auslachen und verächtlich machen - nicht mein Humor. Ich empfinde das nur als dumm und unsympathisch.
Eine der Lieblingsaufgaben scheint zu sein, zu Formulierungen, die man nicht kennt und nicht erklärt bekommt, synonyme Formulierungen zu finden, die man ebenfalls nicht kennt. Das ist so etwas von sinnfrei. Wenn ich in einem fremden Land klarkommen möchte, brauche ich 1 Formulierung, die das ausdrückt, was ich sagen will. Dann klappt das. 3, von denen eine oft noch ordinär ist, brauche ich nicht.
Auch von den Gesprächen mit der KI hatte ich mir einiges erhofft - leider zu Unrecht. Komme ich auf ein Thema, das mich interessiert, versucht sie, es abzubiegen zu Themen wie "Was liest du gerade" und "welche französischen Filme schaust du dir an". Ich klicke diesen "Victor Hugo" jetzt seit einiger Zeit einfach weg, weil er mir nicht hilft, mich auf Französisch auszudrücken, sondern mir nur die Zeit stiehlt.
Also - hätte ich die Entscheidung, wäre ich raus. Man verpflichtet sich aber zu einem Abo, das mindestens 1 Jahr Laufzeit hat.
Ich habe das Unternehmen kontaktiert. Die Antwort war: "vielen Dank, dass Sie sich die Zeit genommen haben, uns Ihr ausführliches Feedback zu geben. Es tut uns sehr leid zu hören, dass Sie mit Ihrem Kurs nicht zufrieden sind und den Eindruck haben, dass die Inhalte nicht zu Ihren Bedürfnissen passen.
... vielen Dank für Ihre offenen Worte. Wir hoffen sehr, dass wir Ihnen in der verbleibenden Kurszeit wieder mehr Freude am Lernen ermöglichen können."
Also nicht wirklich hilfreich. Ich zahle also jetzt für Frantastique und hole meinen Uralt-Französischkurs wieder raus. Denn ich bin motiviert zu lernen.

I enjoy the lessons because they are fun and not stuffy. You learn from the mistakes you make, and there is a source of information on vocabulary and grammer. I also find it keeps me learning because the lessons are sent regularly. There is the opportunity to ask questions and get feedback. You can practice written and spoken language.

Why I signed on for a second year of lessons
I had some background in French from school days when I signed up to a 12 month lesson plan 13 months ago. I enjoy the lessons in daily bites, adapted to my level of knowledge and my preferences. Ten mins a day is manageable and the results add up quickly. After a year I was ready and able to make a 3 minute speech in French at my son’s wedding in France and to converse in French with his in-laws. I’ve signed on for another year as I want to become more fluent. I enjoy the humorous, quirky dialogues, bits of verse and movie clips, and the varied exercise formats. It makes learning French fun.

Meine Muttersprache ist deutsch
Meine Muttersprache ist deutsch, ich lerne italienisch. Gymglish (Saga Baldoria) ist großartig. Ich habe Vorkenntnisse und bin sofort zum richtigen Level gekommen. Großartig finde ich auch, dass man Anthropic Claude (ein KI-Programm) nutzen kann. Man kann mit Anthropic Claude chatten wie mit einem italienischen Freund, man kann auch seinen Text an den KI-Chatpartner auf alle Fehler überprüfen lassen (alles nur schriftlich). Nach dem täglichen Kurs kann man das gleiche auch mit der KI-Lehrerin machen und sich dort auch Sätze vorlesen lassen. Leider ist das tägliche Lernangebot auf ca. 25 Minuten begrenzt, dazu gibt es aber viel Zeit zum Üben mit Anthropic Claude.

Our records indicate that you inadvertently purchased a second subscription 3 days after the initial one in July 2024.
You recognized this error 6 months later and reached out to your bank to cancel one payment made in December and to request a refund.
Consequently, we sent you a notification regarding an issue with your payment, which led to the automatic suspension of your subscription.
Subsequently, you contacted us to request the cancellation of the second subscription, despite being committed for a duration of 24 months.
In an effort to reach a mutually agreeable solution, and considering that you had made double payments for 5 months, we proposed to reduce your commitment to 19 months instead of 24; however, you declined this offer.

I prefer to join an online class with a human at the helm. I have done so.

J ai du résilier mon abonnement au bout de 8 mois .on me répond que j ai accepté un engagement de 24 mois . Je n étais pas à connaissance de cette clause , présente apparemment dans les conditions générales et pas sur la page d inscription qui met en avant par contre la possibilité de se desinscrire par un simple clic .Je devrais donc payer 19 mensualites pour rien car on ne me propose aucune solution sauf celle de transferer mon abonnement à un tiers.Dommage la méthode est excellente mais les modalités de souscription sont border line ...
