Amoral, licentious, unconscionable company
My company employed GuideOne for 24 years for our insurance needs. In that time I never asked for anything from them - not a single peep, no claims, no need of anything - we just kept paying our monthly bill. In year 24, we experienced a hurricane so I filed a claim and received about $2000 in assistance. Then, a few weeks later, I was dropped with no communication. I totaled up the amount I'd paid GuideOne over those 23 years - it was approximately $120,000. The fact that I used their services without needing any type of assistance for over 2 decades, then was dropped without a word after such a small claim, is unconscionable.
GuideOne is an amoral company. Whoever is making decisions, creating logarithms, and cutting costs might think about how people/companies like myself feel on the other end of this treatment. Business is business, but this is not right. I attempted to communicate with GuideOne employees about the way this transpired and was treated like a spreadsheet.

A couple of years ago a failed sump…
A couple of years ago a failed sump pump failure damage was covered this incident was also a sump pump failure and I was given 15 reasons why the damage was mot covered they closed the case without any person contact just emails I’m looking into other insurance companies

In this claim, the investigation determined that the water entered through the foundation walls following significant rainfall, which is addressed under the policy as surface water or seepage and is not a covered cause of loss. While a prior claim may have been covered, similar events can have different causes that result in different coverage determinations.

Disappointed in denial of majority of claim based on recurring water damage. All damage occurred while insured with you. Once multiple roofs were replaced, a claim was made since we knew the problem was solved except for ice dams due to a hard winter.
