I'm really confused. The reviews on Trustpilot do not leave me with confidence re a Grundfos pump. The trouble is, the pump I am looking to replace is a Grundfos and it is 24 years old with no problems.

Scala 2 NOT reliable OR durable!
My Scala 2 stopped working after 5 years, well short of the 15 years it was supposed to work (as advertised on their website). Out of warranty so no one wants to know about it. Have since found lots of negative feedback on the Grundfos Pump. NOT durable or reliable as advertised. I recommend you by a pump from a different supplier.

I can understand you are disappointed and had high expectations for your Grundfos pump and we are sorry to hear your experience has not been a positive one with the pump or with the kind of service you had expected from our customer service team. It is important to acknowledge that generally speaking most domestic pressure pumps in Australia and New Zealand (no matter the brand) only have a 2-year warranty - if you are able to do a bit of research into this, this is what you will find. That is the standard for the industry. I do not know who has given you the information that the pump would last 15+ years because nowhere on our website (The Grundfos websites globally or in Australia or New Zealand) do we make a statement or claim like that. If you have found a claim like this anywhere in our marketing materials or on our website please send me a photo or screenshot and I will investigate it but I am not aware of any claim like this. Anecdotally, we do know our pumps last a long time and customers give us this feedback all the time. But, regarding your pump, customer service is correct in their assessment in that your pump is out of warranty by 3 years. However, as I mentioned we are reviewing the matter currently to see what we can do for you. Wer teuer kauft,kauft nicht immer Qualität!
Bin selbst im Großhandel tätig und muss leider den Vorredner Recht geben!Grundfos ist ein Alptraum!Scala1und Scala 2 beide Pumpen nach 2Jahren defekt!Lt.Grundfos bei Scala 2Trockenlauf..Wobei die gute und billige Gardena ihren Dienst jetzt wieder aufgenommen hat und läuft einwandfrei!Kosten für Reparatur 250€und das nach nicht mal 2Jahre im Betrieb und das nur im Sommer zur Bewässerung!Erklärung weshalb eine andere Pumpe einwandfrei funktioniert gab es nicht.War mir zu blöd,somit kam die Pumpe in 100Teile zerlegt zurück!
Klare Empfehlung für meine Kunden:Finger weg von Grundfos!Hat schon einen schalen Beigeschmack wenn man sich so die Bewertung durchliest!

Grundfos pump warranty warning
Purchased a Grundfos 3.0 bar negative brass pump to run my power shower in April 2020 One of the reasons I purchased was because of 5 year manafacturers guarantee. Mid December 2024 pump stopped working. Plumbing Store I purchased it got in touch with grundfos and they told me the pump had been manufactured in week 33 of 2019 which was August 12 to August 17 2019 and that the guarantee was only from date of manufacture and not date of purchase. Grundfos sent out a capacitor as they thought this was issue but it was not. In my opinion this guarantee is a joke as the pump could be sitting on the suppliers shelf for 8 months which is nearly 1 year of the warranty gone. If buying a Grundfis make sure you check the manufacture date and if it's over a month old demand a newer pump.

UPDATE - Grundfos never replied to my email follow up as I was instructed to do in their response to my review. I sent follow ups to my email..still nothing. this is all smoke and mirrors, they want you to think they are taking care of customer issues, but it's all a fake......you are screwed. Just move on and buy from someone else

We have a Grundfos pump under 5 year…
We have a Grundfos pump under 5 year warranty and it is in place 2 years. It is not working, we reported it a full week ago and still don’t have any idea when it will be fixed. Grundfos Ireland are impossible to contact. We have no working toilets or water for the last 10 days and we have a baby and a 3 year old, no idea when our pump will be replaced. Worst customer service ever! Will have to go the legal route

Verbaute jahrelang Produkte der Firma. Aber die Heizungspumpen sind in dem Maße wie sie aktuell hergestellt werden, nicht mehr verwendbar. Entweder das Gehäuse tropft nach einem Jahr. Oder sie hängen fest .Ich habe teilweise billige Pumpen auf Anfrage verbaut ( 30-50€ ) auf Kundenwunsch! Diese sind von der Qualität und Haltbarkeit ( teilweise schon über 8 Jahre verbaut) deutlich besser! Ich habe in den letzten 3 Jahren sicherlich 400-500 pumpen von Grundfos verbaut! Davon sind 70 Stück schon defekt! Beim letzten Kunden, habe ich den Support kontaktiert, dieser verwies mich an den Händler, was laut deutschem Recht völlig falsch ist!!! Oder meinte ob ich überhaupt noch Gewährleistung habe! Wenn nicht, kein Interesse . Ok gut ich habe euch in den letzten Jahren mindestens 60000€-80000€ Umsatz gebracht! Und da ihr mir nicht angeboten habt, wenigstens eine Sch&&& pumpe mal zu kontrollieren, kann ich euch nicht mehr verbauen/vertrauen ! Meine 8 Angestellten werden keine Grundfos pumpen mehr verbauen ! Vorteile für den Kunden sind bei 30-100€ deutlich günstiger, laufen länger! Bei einem Defekt gebe ich Gewährleistung, das geht auch viel schneller und leichter für meine Kunden!
Mann sollte bedenken was der Ausbau einer Pumpe den Kunden kosten kann !!
Meist ist noch ein Schieber kaputt ect.
Dann über die Wirtschaft jammern. Top 👍 . Tschüss Grundfos! Ihr wart mal richtig gut. Hab pumpen ausgebaut, die nach 40 Jahren defekt waren! Und heute 2-3 Tolle Entwicklung

Grundfos WC-3 unit - poor quality control and poor service
Purchased Groundfos WC-3 unit, within 1.5 months of it being installed it was making a grinding noise. Thinking something had been flushed that shouldn't have been called out an engineer who instead found the blades from the motor were loose and had fallen off so clearly a manufacturing defect that should have been covered under warranty.
I contact the groundfos team with a report detailing the findings from the engineer and they are refusing to reimburse any costs for this even though it would have cost them to send an engineer out anyway.

In most warranty-related scenarios, the warranty is handled through the place of purchase. We have agreements and procedures in place with our direct trading partners to manage these warranties. In some cases, we can send an engineer out under warranty. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to compensate for any costs outside of this.
If the issue had been flagged to us directly or through the merchant you purchased it from at the time, we would have stepped in to assist.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but at this late stage, we are unable to rectify the situation as the job has already been carried out by a third party.

Wer sich auf Grundfos verlässt, der ist verlassen.
Ich habe mindestens 5 Mal versucht, den Service zu kontaktieren. Meine Grundfos Pumpe (5000 EUR) hat den vierten Motorschaden in drei Jahren (je Reparatur 2000 EUR beim örtlichen Monteur). Das laste ich bisher nicht der Pumpe an, sondern einem Problem, bei dessen Aufklärung ich mir die Unterstützung von Profis gewünscht hätte. Aber wo auch immer ich die finde, sicherlich nicht bei grundfos. Ich habe immer wieder angerufen, ohne einen kompetenten Ansprechpartner zu finden. Wahlweise wurde mir gesagt, keiner da, man kann nur in den Vertrieb verbinden (Fazit dort: Kaufen Sie eine neue Pumpe), man sei selbst kompetent (aber was die Reparatur kostet oder wie ich das vor Einsendung der Pumpe herausfinden kann, konnte man mir nicht sagen), ich solle eine Email schreiben für heutigen Rückruf (der Rückruf ist auch 5 Tage und viele Nachfragen später nicht gekommen), man verbindet mich jetzt zum Service (aber dann brach 2x die Leitung zusammen als wäre stattdessen einfach aufgelegt worden). Ich freue mich darauf, die Pumpe gegen ein anderes Fabrikat mit Service zu tauschen!

We bought a Grundfos scala 1 on amazon…
We bought a Grundfos scala 1 on amazon a year ago. This is our 2nd Grundfos scala 1. The 1st one was supplied to us by our plumber, when it broke down after 1 year, due to the model, which was discontinued, he was unable to fix i. So, we bought another one on Amazon. And, after 1 year it broke down on us. The pump, according the the paperwork comes with 24 months warranty. We were unable to locate the distributor that was a seller on Amazon, so, we contact Grundfos USA directly. After all the ding dong with them, they had refused to honor the warranty. This is so typical of these European companies. They want to sell their products in our country but they do not want to honor what they said they will. They have lost me as a customer and anyone who is looking to buy a pressure pump or any types of pump, stay away from Grundfos.

We've had an issue with our pump and as under warranty it was replaced in May 2024. The new pump had occurred an issue and in a matter of days the lovely Kelly whom contacted me directly had arranged another replacement straight away. Customer service excellent and very helpful. Many thanks and fingers cross.

AVOID!!!
Built our home in 2018 and our plumbing contractor installed the Grundfos Scala2 pump. It has been replaced three times and now the latest one has begun to leak. Avoid this company and this product!

Avoid fitting any Grundfos products!
If i could give zero stars for a review i would! I will never recommend or fit a grundfos product ever again - we have had constant problems over the last 2 years with their condense pumps, after being told 2 years ago they have a manufacturing fault i still cannot believe 2 years on they have done nothing about it.
Replacing these units has cost us as a business thousands of pounds in labour and a few customers and still today we are experiencing problems.
At least we finally managed to get Grundfos to send engineers out to replace these units but this process is very difficult and our customers have recieved terrible customer service from Grundfos.
Not very happy at all - ever our merchants have pulled these products off their shelfs.

After the involvement of Grundfos Italia, through their Head of Service Mr. Crepaldi, all the troubles caused and the money wasted by the previuos CAT - Servicepump S.r.L. - have been properly and quickly solved. A real disaster with the after sales assistance.
If you have a problem as just happened to me with the MAGNA 3 model you can be sure to waste weeks before realizing that the company (at least in Italy) has non assistance, they are not answering to emails sent through the website dedicated area, and basically have no external assistance centers. The one that eventually I found (Servicepump S.r.L.) asked for 250 € + VAT with pre-payment simply to exit and understand the problems, that was not solved. Stay away, far away, from this company; my humble opinion.

Hauswasserwerk nach drei Wochen defekt
Hauswasserwerk JP 5-48 für 429€ nach drei Wochen defekt. Wurde durch eine Fachfirma ein und ausgebaut, da sie kein Wasser mehr gefördert hat. Der Motor lief noch. In meinem Beisein, beim Abbau, wurde das Wasser aus der Pumpe abgelassen. Mein Monteur gab an, dass das Wasser randvoll in der Pumpe stand. Aber er kenne die Firma Grundfos, die schon sehr häufig nach Inaugenscheinnahme behauptet habe, dass die Pumpe trocken gelaufen sei. Der Monteur mit 30 jähriger Erfahrung schloss einen Trockenlaif in diesem Fall kategorisch aus.
Nach zwei Wochen Nachricht von Grundfos: Trockenlauf und daher keine Gewährleistung.
Stattdessen war ein Reparaturangebot in Höhe von 815,70€ an die Nachsicht angehängt, für eine Pumpe, die mich 429€ gekostet hat.
Darüber hinaus empfahl Grundfos, meine Wasseranlage zu überprüfen, da der Fehler dort sei.
Die Anlage wird seit 20 Jahren, ohne eine Schwierigkeit gehabt zu haben, betrieben.
Grundfos teilte weiter mit, dass aufgrund schlechter Verpackung der Pumpenfuß abgebrochen sei. Wir haben die Pumpe zwei Stunden mit zwei Rollen Luftpolsterfolie und weiterem Dämmmaterial so gut verpackt, dass sie hätte sogar aus großer Höhe fallen können, ohne dass etwas passiert wäre.
So habe ich meine ersten Erfahrungen mit Grundfos gesammelt und es werden meine letzten sein. Nie wieder auch mit den kleinsten Artikel von Grundfos. Ich kann nur jeden davor warnen, bei Grundfos auch mit einen Cent zu investieren. Sie werden sich ärgern. Und dann noch einen Kostenvoranschlag in doppelter Höhe des Neupreises der Pumpe anzubieten ist unverschämt und spricht für sich. Und mit dem Verlassen des Standortes Deutschland in diesem Jahr, zeigt Grundfos deutlich, was es von ihren deutschen Kunden hält und alles wird noch schlimmer werden. Daher: Hände weg von Produkten der Firma Grundfos!

but what about the after sales service????
No direct contact!
No service!
No answer!
Nothing then Nothing!!
3 pumps, after 2 years, exactly with the same electrical problem:
warranty expired,
No assistance,
No Service
No email answer
Solution? Waste! and now different company, more serious and efficient pumps!
Grundfos = really bad experience! Never more!
