Got my ladybird eggs just as expected packed very nicely

First class delivery,website easy to navigate, best of all, the products actually work and they are eco friendly.

I have used nematodes for weevils,weed killer, and have also bought the applicator for the nematodes and a 5l spray with wand.

However, the ladybugs flew off and not seen them since.

I ordered 100 ladybird larvae. Firstly the delivery was delayed. I was notified by email so hardly the end of the world but I should have seen this as a sign.

They arrived contained within a clear plastic box within a padded envelope. I immediately noticed about a dozen dead larvae squashed between the lid and side of the box where they appear to have (partially) escaped. This meant I should have seen 88 larvae in among the shredded paper within.

The instructions say to tip the contents of the box, larvae and shredded paper, in to the cloth bag provided and hang this in the affected plant(s). In my case I’d bought them to treat several bonsai so gently teased apart the small handful of shredded paper and lifted the larvae out one-by-one using a fine artist’s paintbrush. This took me over an hour and I counted 23 larvae for a total of 35 (including the squashed ones), I’m 65 short.

Seller’s response was a cut and paste reply explaining how “the larvae are very small” (no shyt Sherlock) and some pieces of paper have eggs on them. Well I didn’t order eggs, did I? I ordered and paid for 100 larvae which I didn’t get.

Late delivery, inappropriate packaging and goods not as described. Don’t waste your money here, buy chemicals instead.

PS. Seller’s second response was to ask me for information that I’d included in my initial email. Someone’s clearly not paying attention.

Firstly, excellent customer service! I ordered some ladybird larvae but there was a problem with delivery (Royal Mail issue) and when I contacted Green Gardener they got back to me quickly and sent out a replacement order.
I must admit I didn’t see many larvae (I’m sure they were there!) and was slightly sceptical, but within a couple of weeks the aphids had all but disappeared. It’s been almost a month now and our previously aphid-infested Acer tree is completely clear of bugs! So glad to have been able to lose them without the use of chemicals. Just hoping now that the larvae turn into ladybirds. Thank you :)

Waste of money purchase . Several lady hugs died instantly , rest drowsy and extremely small and weak. They didn’t make it either. Real waste of money.

Ive purchased ladybirds elsewhere before and they've always turned up dead or dying in an envelope.
These ones from the green gardener arrived in a little box, and more than ready for war against the aphids.
All were alive and well, with clear instructions on how to distribute.

We purchased the nematodes for box tree moth caterpillars from Green Gardener. Cost £20. Applied as directed three times, we are still picking out caterpillars, 40 yesterday, not done a thing. We had caught it early but the bushes are devastated now. Absolute rubbish. Just a warning to Save you money.

Due to an aphid infested Philadelphus, I ordered SB Invigorator spray, 25 adult ladybirds and 50 larvae which were delivered quickly with clear and easy to use instructions. I emailed Green Gardener with a query and received a swift response with helpful advice. The result has been amazing and I needed very little of the SB spray as the lady birds and larvae saved my shrub. My only issue was that personally, I found it difficult to manage the larvae with the paper bags and next time I will order 100 which come in a cotton release bag with strings which looks easier to attach to the shrub.

The ladybirds did exactly what I needed, my roses are now thriving

I ordered a pack of ladybirds and larvae. The ladybirds were all fine but flew off who knows where- but that’s the nature of the product.
The larvae arrived without release bags which makes it very tricky to release 100 larvae and I feel many have been lost/eaten by ants because of this. I emailed Green gardener but they ignored my email. The bags are an essential part of distributing the product and to forgot to pack them is one thing; to ignore request for help quite another. I notice a similar review a week or so ago so maybe they have an ongoing problem. Wouldn’t use again.
After green gardeners response on here I got in touch and they offered to resend or refund. I opted for resending and received a new pack of larvae with release bag. As a bonus they also resent more ladybirds, which is much appreciated. Upgrading rating to 5 star. Things can and do go wrong, but it’s how companies fix it. Many thanks
