Rome and Amalfi Coast were wonderful. I was surprised by how nice the hotels were and everything was very easy to navigate.

I was unhappy with being charged extra fees for making my reservations by telephone. I was unable to book the vacation dates online after several attempts. I was informed that I would be charged extra for booking through an operator and I went ahead and paid the price. This left me feeling dissatisfied and ripped off. Not everyone has the computer skills to complete an online reservation. I don't know when you started that fee policy but I have booked many trips with your company in the past by phone without an extra charge. Please reconsider that fee policy. In the future, if I am unable to book via my smartphone, you won't have the pleasure of my business.Apparently, I was able to book my previous trips with you via your app but was unable to navigate your site to book this particular trip. The hotel was lovely, clean, with attentive staff.it's location was very convenient.

Everything was taken care of and we were able to enjoy a trouble free vacation

The food was terrible at the resort, the worst we've ever had at a resort and we travel a ton. We were a group of 8 and everyone felt the same way about the food. It was so bad, we left the resort for lunch and dinner the last day we were there, we couldn't do it anymore. The rooms were good with comfortable beds and the concierge Joel was wonderful however many of the employees could be very rude.

Hotel with breakfast would have been great, we had to pay each morning. Otherwise it was pretty great!

The whole vacation was well planned out. We had ample time to make it to our next stop and enjoy the towns. The hotels were nice. I have always planned out my own trips but after comparing prices I could not have done this on my own for the same money. It was a great trip that went flawlessly. I did not have any interactions with the GVV staff because it went so well.

Economy flights turned out not to be non-stop; we prefer non stop. It made our travel super long. United Airlines mediocre. Air Canada very good.

The Woodstock Hotel in Ennis was not a castle hotel. Our package was titled “ Castle hotels” It was a 3 star hotel; mattress terrible, understaffed hotel restaurant. Food was good though.
The Lough Rynn Castle hotel had us stay in an out building away from the castle and it had a bad musty odor .
We loved the Green Hotel, Dublin, top notch. Great location, great food. Very comfy!

The Cabra Hotel was good but we were put in a new area, called the cottages. We would have preferred to be in the main hotel .
The Barberstown Castle Hotel was lovely. We paid you an upcharge to stay here . Bed needed new mattress.

Food was excellent at all hotels.

Enterprise rent a car was seamless; no issues whatsoever. Location for pick up in Dublin was great. We had a little hard time finding the return location at the Dublin airport but everything else was great; super efficient.

My second time booking a “Castle “ tour in Ireland. Not sure I would do it again.

We're a repeat customer of Great Value Vacations. We've bought vacation packages 5 times in the last 12 years. Every time it has been satisfactory. Once we tried a different company and they didn't deliver at all, just canceled our vacation a month before it was supposed to happen, leaving us with the headache and expense of quickly planning it entirely ourselves. Great Value Vacations is highly dependable. Although the location or quality of hotels aren't "top tier" they're a "great value" as the name suggests, and the package deal is lower than the cost of booking each included item individually, so there's both monetary savings and time savings. The hotels are decent. Never a roach motel. They don't fill every minute, so i recommend that you check out tripadvisor for additional excursions, or you can simply relax or just casually explore the numerous destinations they offer.

Edit: After reading other reviews, I'll include more of "what to expect", being we've used this company so many times. I give this 5 stars judging how the company operates, and the an outstanding total bang for your buck. But remember this is a "Great Value" and with value comes some obvious caveats. 1. Flights tend to have connections, but they're always reasonable, sometimes a little short, so be ready to move quickly when you get to your connecting airport.
2. Hotels are either very nice but not a super convenient or pretty location, or they're in the heart of the action, but somewhat lacking in quality or tiny. Or somewhere in between. But they're always reasonable.
3. They frequently outsource major portions to other companies, which turn them into either a bit of a black box on expectations, or it can be extremely detailed. But every time, they've delivered on their promises. Great Value Vacations may provide a voucher with the outsourced company's info, and you may have to do your own research for more info beyond the voucher.
Every time, Great Value Vacations has delivered on what they were selling, and price of the total package is well worth it.

We have used Great Value Vacations for several trips and have come to expect great service. For this trip, we were booked into the Bailey Hotel in London, which was an outstanding experience. The location was perfect. It was close to the Underground, and all the major tourist attractions were within a 15-20-minute subway ride from the hotel. The excursions were well planned and were very enjoyable. The entire trip was stress-free and enjoyable.

Booked a 12 day trip to Croatia. Air, hotel transfers., and guided tours. This was private tour, not a group tour and the value was very good. The transfers between various cities were very well coordinated. Tour guides in various locations were friendly, knowledgeable and local. Hotels ranged in quality but all acceptable.

The package was really assembled by Uniline Travel Croatia. So specific questions about in country things could not be answered by Great Vacations. GV was helpful with flight logistics changes as one leg of flight was cancelled and had to be rerouted. GV has good phone support with reasonable wait times but agents have very limited knowledge about the tour specifics.

Note: all of the logistics details for each trip component is specified in the vouchers. You need to learn how to decipher so it is essential to print out hard copy of vouchers to enable deciphering. Once in country Uniline did a good job communicating/updating us via WhatsApp.

The hotel was amazing in Baveno, Italy! It was actually a small apartment! Lake Maggiore exceeded my expectations ….so beautiful and peaceful! The entire trip was wonderful!

Italy by Rail, Venice, Florence,
and Rome. Everything went smoothly, my private transfers, trains, hotels. Only issue was the airline on my way home was striking that day. GVV found another flight right away. I was able to relax and really enjoy my trip. I'd definitely book with GVV again.

The tour was well planned and organized - the flight, all pick-up and transfer - from the airport to all the daily tour. Some accommodation was better than the other. Places visited were interesting, but the travel to and from the destination was tiring, some of the time. The tour leader, Ilaria, was very knowledgeable, fun to be with, very understanding and patient, helpful… a perfect tour leader. Cost of package tour was affordable. It was such an A-okay experience.

Panama City, Panama and Cartagena, Columbia were a wonderful combination of two cities that we had not visited. The flights on well-known carriers were excellent. The hotels were clean and comfortable. The only issue was with the hotels. Our hotel in Panama City was well beyond the city center. It was a minimum 30-minute Uber ride to any sights, which cost anywhere from $10 to $25 one-way. With the number of hotels in the city, we would think that there is a better location. Our hotel in Cartagena was in the beach zone, but it was a family hotel with numerous kids. The area across the street is a beach area called Playa De Bocagrande. It contains persistent venders, pushy sales tactics, litter, and murky waters. Tripadvisor rates it a 2.7 out of 5, which we believe is generous. Again, we had to Uber each day to see any sites in the old city, where there are numerous hotels and enjoyable sites. The great thing is that Uber is very safe and easy to use in both cities.

Again, after figuring out the hotel situation in each city and how to overcome their respective issues, we had a fantastic time. We plan to return to each, but will avoid these two hotels.

Our guide was very informative. She explained everything in detail. She had a great sense of humor.

The accommodations were excellent with the exception of one night at our second hotel where the beds were sub-par. The breakfasts in all hotels could not have been better. The tour director had it all together with coordinating our transportation. It was a most enjoyable experience.

Overall the travel package Great Value provided for our trip to Hawaii was phenomenal! The resorts were great and we enjoyed the extra perks we received at them! This is our 4th trip booking through Great Value and we will be back! Thank you!!

The pickups were nice but some sort of verification on where to meet at the airport would be helpful. We missed one of our pickups.
The tour group and tour guide (Kelly) from the Outlander tour was very good. It was so nice to hear history and Outlander too.

We loved our accommodations and the all the needed info was available on the portal / our trip account. The location of the car rental office needed to be updated as it had moved. And of course just know with the great price, that the flights and seats were not ideal and the up charge for any adjustments or add ins will be an issue, but that is understandable.
