Brilliant service from GoForth…
Brilliant service from GoForth motorhome hire! We hired Douglas for our trip away and it was hassle free and our departure was made quick and easy with James explaining everything that we needed to know. Douglas was the perfect size for just the two of us and had absolutely everything that we needed. Would definitely recommend.

Thank you so much for the fantastic review, Kay! 🥰
We're delighted you both had such a great adventure in Douglas 🏌️♂️ and found the whole experience so easy and hassle-free from start to finish! 🧳😁
Douglas really is a cracking wee Motorhome for two, so it's brilliant to hear he was the perfect size for your trip and had absolutely everything you needed onboard! 🙌💙
We also really appreciate your comments about the handover. 🙏 There's plenty to take in before heading off, so we always want our Customers to leave feeling comfortable and confident with their Motorhome rather than wondering what half the buttons do! 🤣
Thank you both for choosing to GO Forth! with us, Kay, and for recommending us so highly! 🥰
Hopefully we'll get to welcome you back for another adventure in the future! 🧳😁
We'll see you soon! 🫵

GoForth Motorhomes: Expert Help, Brilliant Vans, Zero Worries
From the very first enquiry, James, Stef, and James’ dad at GoForth Motorhomes were absolute stars. They patiently answered all our questions in the run up to the holiday, which meant we started our trip already feeling in safe hands.
We hired Hamish and honestly, he’s not just a campervan, he’s a fully stocked holiday cottage on wheels. Gas? Included. Cutlery, plates, bedding, games, toilet roll, sat nav? WAIT, WI-FI?!! All there! You can shower, cook, and even charge your phone while parked in the middle of nowhere pretending you’re Bear Grylls (but with clean hair, a hot meal and a roof). All you need to pack is food, clothes, and your favourite people.
When we arrived to pick up Hamish, we weren’t just handed a set of keys and left to it. James took us through everything. From how to turn on the heating and hot water, to operating the shower, emptying the toilet, and the all important sat nav.
My daughter was a little nervous about driving a large vehicle for the first time, but James took her out for a test drive, giving helpful hints and tips that made her feel comfortable and confident before setting off.
Hamish was spotless, well thought out, and a joy to travel in. The beds were cosy and comfortable for a good nights sleep and being able to open the back doors for that morning view was the icing on the cake.
Would we recommend GoForth? Absolutely. Knowing we could call them anytime if we got stuck gave us total peace of mind. We laughed, we adventured, we learned more than we ever thought we’d need to know about portable toilets… and we loved every second. Can’t wait for our next trip! We miss you Hamish!

Thank you so much for this absolutely fantastic review, Veronica! 🥰 We had a huge smile reading it — although your description of Hamish 🏡 as Bear Grylls with clean hair, a hot meal and a roof might be better than anything we've ever come up with! 🤣🙌
It was an absolute pleasure meeting you all and we're delighted Hamish gave you such a brilliant adventure! 🧳🏡
Your comments about the handover and test drive mean a lot too. 🙏 We know driving a Campervan for the first time can feel daunting, so we'd much rather spend that extra bit of time making sure someone leaves us feeling confident and excited rather than nervous! 🚐😁
And Dad will be delighted to know he made the review too! 🤣💙
The fact you laughed, adventured, learned about portable toilets 😂 and loved every second is exactly what it's all about!
Thank you for trusting us with your adventure, Veronica — and we LOVE that you're already talking about the next one! 🥰
Hamish will miss you too! 🏡🤣

A must do experience
If you only ever hire a motor home/ camper van once, this is the company to use. I have hired from 4 different companies and Go Forth! Are miles ahead on service given, from 1st contact to driving home after your holiday. We hired Ronnie. The attention to detail and quality of items , WiFi, TV, outdoor furniture, linens, crockery, cutlery the list goes on, was superb. And the many extras from welcome pack to games. My personal favourite was the big blue foam hand to wave to other motorhome users, brought many a smile. Can't wait to book again, the biggest decision is which van this time.

Amazing experience from start to finish! Highly recommend!!
I have a huge positive review to write so I will start with the headline - I would recommend Go Forth without any hesitation and will absolutely be booking again!!
Before booking our trip, I must have looked at 100 campervans/motorhomes and therefore tonnes of companies and am SO glad we booked with Go Forth! Firstly it’s a family run business, and this really shows with the level of care, detail, thought and consideration that they have put into literally every stage of booking/picking up/using/returning the vehicle. The whole experience was just so smooth, they were incredibly helpful, kind and friendly with every interaction we had with them.
In terms of the van (we booked Hamish and miss him already!!) - it is absolutely true when they say ‘just bring clothes and cash’. We actually couldn’t believe how much they’d thought about and catered for when it came to the van setup. From the little welcome basket of goodies, the tiny little packets of salt and pepper, the board games, the little soap/wash bag/tv/wifi, all the kitchen appliances, towels, bedding, camping chairs and even a little highland cow teddy to take on our travels - they have literally thought of everything.
The intro and talk through of the van was thorough, super helpful and clear - nothing was missed and James explained everything easily for us first timers! We only had one small issue during the trip and James was super quick to call me and help me resolve.
Truly I couldn’t recommend this company enough and we can’t wait to book another trip!!

We're delighted you had such a fantastic first Motorhome adventure in Hamish 🏡 and that all those wee details we'd put into the experience were noticed — right down to the salt & pepper, games and your little Highland cow travelling companion! 🐮🤣
We LOVE that our “Just Bring Cash & Clothes!” promise got your seal of approval too! 🙌 The aim is to make everything as easy as possible so you can concentrate on enjoying the adventure rather than packing the kitchen sink! 😁🧳
But your comments about the care, friendliness and support mean the most. 🥰 That's exactly how we want our wee family business to feel! 💙

We really enjoyed our trip in “Barney”
We really enjoyed our trip in “Barney”. The motorhome was clean and really well equipped. Nice to have folding chairs and tables provided as well as board games, bedding and towels. The fact there was WiFi and a smart tv on board were totally unexpected but welcome. The pick up and drop off process was easy, the staff were friendly and explained everything thoroughly. Rosie is the Best!
From pickup to drop off, the service and care from Goforth, James and Steph was second to none. Being first time motorhome users and being from Canada , where we drive on the correct side of the road (James disagrees with this assessment LOL) we were probably a bit more high maintenance than most people. James answered all my emails in quick time and calmed my anxiety about the narrow roads. Rosie was wonderful to drive and had everything we needed. Yes, money and clothes are definitely all you need. We enjoyed your brilliant country and will consider a second trip to see all we missed. Definitely in another Goforth Motorhome. Cheers to 5 stars

We have very fond memories of welcoming you over from Canada and sending you off on your first ever Motorhome adventure in Rosie 🌹! 🇨🇦🧳😁
We're delighted Rosie looked after you so well and that our support helped calm some of those nerves about tackling Scotland's narrower roads! 📱💙 And for the record, we'll simply have to agree to disagree about which side of the road is the “correct” one! 🤣🇬🇧🇨🇦
As for being a little more high maintenance than most... we'll plead the fifth! 😂 There are no daft questions when you're exploring a new country in a Motorhome for the first time, and we'd much rather you ask than worry! 🙌
Thank you for choosing to GO Forth! with us, Linda, and we're thrilled you enjoyed our wee country so much! 🥰

We recently hired a motorhome and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The owners were incredibly professional, friendly, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. They took the time to show us how everything worked and were always available if we had any questions.
The van itself was immaculate and thoughtfully kitted out with everything you could possibly need — from kitchen essentials and comfortable bedding to outdoor chairs and even a few thoughtful extras that made our trip even more enjoyable. It was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into making sure the motorhome was ready for any kind of adventure.
We wouldn’t hesitate to hire from them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and well-equipped motorhome. A five-star experience all round!

I have just finished a weeks hire from the team at Goforth and it was a hassle free and excellent process. They are a small family run business who present their motorhomes in excellent condition and the hire went without an issue. The induction process explained all I needed to know to get myself and my family on the road to enjoy our holiday and the guys are available via a WhatsApp chat should you have any questions. We hired Peppa and it was fantastically kitted out with all the equipment you could need as a family and some excellent small touches which made our trip easy and one to remember. Great Expereince from start to finish. No hassles.
Having shopped around a bit, we came across GoForth Motorhome Hire. James and Stef were very professional and super friendly, and more than happy to show us their vans before we made any commitment. The vans for hire were all excellent, and we were lucky to get a dog friendly van for the week we wanted to go touring around Scotland in June. I would highly recommend this company. Their price is very competitive, their comms excellent, and they were so easy to work with. Barney’s Adventures
Having been let down last minute with another motorhome we were lucky to secure Barney for our planned long weekend trip doing our own version of NC250! A try to see if we liked Motorhoming!
Barney was excellent, a well stocked home from home even with a lovely welcome kits from the owners of Scottish essentials like water, irn bru, crisps and borders biscuits to get us started.
James met us when he said he would and took us through how Barney operated and where everything was and how he worked from using the ramps to level him off, where the gas was and where the cables were and how to do the not so nice but essential gray and black waste emptying!
We visited some lovely campsites and the scenery was as you can imagine out of this world.
Dog friendly for well behaved polishes too meant we could take our beloved four Goldie.
True to thier word they were available for silly questions as we got used to him and answered promptly and never made you feel daft!
We got him home without incident, loved out time in him and got to see a couple of other options GoForth have available perhaps for our next trip!?
Easy company to work with, friendly and helpful with excellent quality and modern vans, Barney was well admired by many!
Thank you James and team we had a ball!

Go Forth hire
We recently used Go Forth motorhome hire for an 8 day rental.
This company is faultless and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to do the NC500.
Mark, James (and Stephanie) were so very helpful. They responded very quickly and very thoroughly to emails and questions as we researched which company to hire from.
They advised which bus company to use in order to travel easily between Edinburgh airport and their depot in Cowdenbeath.
Nothing was too much trouble.
On collection day, I arrived by public transport and they drove me into the town centre twice.
The demonstration of the vehicle DANNI was very thorough, and during the week I had a query which they also responded to in detail supporting the answer with a short video to highlight the response to my query, which answered my question helpfully.
On the return day they met us early so we could coordinate our return to Edinburgh airport, and checked us out quickly.
Upon returning from our trip they quickly assessed the vehicle to return us our security deposit.
I would rate them with 5 gold stars and I hope to use them again in 2026.
Fantastic customer service.
Thank you Go Forth.

The Ambleside Lodge Seton Sands
I had the absolute pleasure of booking The Ambleside for the last week of August. This is truly a home from home with every conceivable amenity one could wish for. Spotlessly clean, Hive heating and situated at the very back of Golf Village in a quiet Cul de Sac. Mark and James, owners, stayed in touch from the beginning to the end of my weeks stay. They truly care about Customer satisfaction and are a credit to their business. As a very “fussy” single lady I have no hesitation in recommending their beautiful lodge to anyone who wishes a quiet getaway. 😊
