I was playing an innocent color-sorter game, and I was subjected to an interstitial ad from Galatea. It was about bestiality. I do not want to say in detail what it said. It was disgusting. The "story" was about a woman who found out that her path in life was to engage in bestiality with a fantasy creature because she was mystically "connected to it"; she was eager and interested, with not a single qualm. This should be banned. I reported the ad twice (I was able to report more than once), but I doubt it will do anything. This is the kind of content that the creators of this app apparently think is representative of it. Shameful.

I really like the stories and that's it. I won't pay because I did that with another app and got my card got hacked. The free app sucks. You're telling me, I can only read 1 chapter ever 6hrs? That's ridiculous. I don't get any log in points, there are no ads I can watch for points or to read the next chapter after a certain point? This app is not set up for to make readers happy. It needs an overhaul to change that.

1 pagina per keer lezen. Onwijs marketing gestuurde informatie in de verhalen. Ben je aan het einde van boek 1. Waar is het vervolg??!!! Niet te vinden. Dus voor je gevoel heb je een boek niet uit. Erg frustrerend. Ik heb gelukkig niet betaald en dat zal ik ook zeker niet doen als er geen complete verhalen zijn.

Ich habe kein Problem mit der Wartezeit zwischen den Kapiteln. Womit ich aber ein Problem habe ist, das sie die Seite aktualisiert und einen Fehler bringt und man jetzt nochmal warten muss?! Sinnlos und nervig.

I have upgraded my review from 1 star to 5 as I wrote and complained to the customer services department of Galatea complaining of their false advertising and recieved an apology and a full refund within a couple of days.

I paid £39.99 for the "Unlimited Subscription"and happily read a couple of books ok, then around halfway through another it won't let me continue without buying more points. Apparently this is not a "glitch", Galatea claim it is so that they can make "fairer payments to the authors". The sentiment would be a good one, if they weren't getting subscriptions by FALSE REPRESENTATIONS

Love it, books are good.

They put adverts between the levels of free AppStore games on the iPad. The ads are extracts from books which, quite frankly, pornographic in my view. I am not a prude, but I don’t want to see this disgusting material and am sad that Apple are allowing this to happen. Youngsters might get to see it. Most unsuitable.

They state it is free reading.But after you go through certain amount of chapters, it doesn't give you the option of watching a video or waiting for time to get new coins.You HAVE to purchase.

I signed up for a year subscription, was charged early February and within a week my subscription purchase had disappeared. I have a ticket 836216. I have sent 2 emails since February 27th’s last response telling me to reinstall and sign in again which I told them in a previous email had already tried. But I did receive a email asking me to pay for a lifetime subscription. Why would I do that given I have ripped off already? This is a rip off and poor customer service. Cannot recommend. Marking date as last communication from Galatea.

Rape fantasy reviews, extremely disturbing and upsetting

3/5/2026: I followed a link that was emailed to me from GALATEA for a discounted annual subscription.

3/5-13/2026: I have been double charged (USD $40.79 x 2), but not been provided the subscription.

Over the course of nearly two weeks, I have contacted GALATEA several times to resolve this issue.

I’ve only received one response, and it was essentially “wait and see” … your bank will remove one of the charges, and the app will provide your access soon.

3/16/2026: I filed a Trustpilot review, and a BBB report. I will research the possibility of filing a class action lawsuit.

The lack of editing makes many of the books unreadable. Plot holes, name changes as well as grammar issues. Too frustrating for me. It was an expensive lesson.

The ads are so annoying and besides that, they're explicit too?? I wouldn't mind the ads that much if they weren't promoting such explicit content. Also im a 100% sure they use AI for most of their stories and pictures. Stop with the ads

I paid for an annual subscription with unlimited access to books and audiobooks but never received access at all. Then when I reached out for assistance they repeated the same instructions, which I followed multiple times, that did not work. Their unlimited access subscription is a scam!

Application qui plus on l'utilise et la remets à jour et plus elle RAME.
Elle se déconnecte constamment et met un temps fou à s'installer...

I was sceptical at first but quickly became enthralled. I have a kindle and pay $10-20 per title and after free chapters with Galatea i became obsessed with FGI series and they offered me a full year for $45. And in one month I read 6 books! I say worth it. Hope you give it a chance 🫶🏼

Terrible!

I cancelled my account two days before the subscription restarted and haven't received a refund. Way too expensive! No response from customer service. Under no circumstances should you get a paid account – you'll never get out of the contract!

There is absolutely nowhere on their webpage that says you have to wait five hours in between each chapter or you have to use extra points just to read a book. I am so incredibly disappointed and so thankful that I didn’t sign up for the monthly service. Save your money and go somewhere else.

They put ads with explicit content, including rape fantasy, on games that kids are likely to play and access. Horribly disturbing. I can't avoid them unless I stop playing games and I'm terrified my 12 year old will encounter these graphic, disgusting ads.
