Inkitt and by association Galatea are a scam. As a reader they promise free reading after a 6 hour window and now they just reset the clock for another 6 hours without opening the chapter. They do not respond to reports to them and in front of your eyes delete any message to the author that reports them for their issues. That's not just shady it's a SCAM!

Inkitt ne mérite ni lecteurs, ni auteurs. Ce site est une usine à contenu toxique, un désert algorithmique, et un simulacre de publication. Il devrait être classé dans la catégorie des sites porno gore autoédités, pas parmi les plateformes d’écriture.

🔞 1. Contenu dominant : porno, viol, inceste, domination
Inkitt est saturé de récits à caractère sexuel explicite, généralement structurés autour de :

relations coercitives (viol "romantisé", manipulation, soumission non consentie),

incestes à peine voilés,

relations avec mineurs déguisées en "romance",

fétichismes extrêmes banalisés (furry, bestialité, domination violente, etc.).

L’essentiel du trafic repose sur ce type de contenu, constamment mis en avant.
Aucune modération visible. Aucune barrière éthique.
Le filtre de contenu "sensible" est inopérant : soit trop permissif, soit totalement aléatoire.

⚠️ 2. Algorithme fermé, visibilité réservée à la pornographie de niche
Les auteurs qui publient sur Inkitt et ne produisent pas ce genre de récits n’ont aucune chance d’émerger :

Aucun référencement correct,

Moteur de recherche défaillant (même en tapant le titre exact, un texte ne ressort pas),

Système de tags incohérent et incomplet.

Le site est conçu pour pousser les récits les plus extrêmes et racoleurs. Tout autre genre est activement invisibilisé.

👻 3. Aucune communauté. Aucun échange. Plateforme morte.
Inkitt n’a pas de lectorat réel.
Aucune interaction. Aucun commentaire. Aucun retour.
Des auteurs publient, s’abonnent entre eux, cliquent dans le vide.
Le taux de réponse est proche de zéro. Le sentiment général est celui d’un simulateur de réseau social vide.

🧪 4. Interface archaïque, fonctions pauvres, absence totale de support
Design dépassé, lent, parfois instable,

Fonctionnalités minimales, très inférieures à Wattpad ou même à des forums amateurs,

Aucune assistance technique visible. Aucun contact. Aucune modération identifiable.

🎣 5. L’arnaque à la carotte de la “publication”
Alors là, c’est le chef-d'œuvre :

“Si votre roman atteint X lecteurs, Inkitt peut le publier.”

Sauf qu’en réalité :

Tu n’atteindras jamais ces chiffres sauf si tu écris du viol fantastique à la chaîne,

Leur “maison d’édition” n’a aucune aura,

Et tu ne toucheras rien. Nada. Peut-être un “contrat”, mais à vide.

Ce n’est pas un tremplin, c’est un siphon à espoirs.
Un modèle de captation gratuite de contenu, enveloppé dans une promesse mensongère de reconnaissance.

⛔ Verdict final : à classer comme site pornographique déguisé
Inkitt ne doit plus être considéré comme une plateforme d’écriture ou de lecture.
C’est un espace de publication non modéré, propice à des dérives graves, sans contrôle éditorial, ni support technique, ni valeur littéraire.

Ce site dessert la création, l’écriture, et le lectorat.

À fuir absolument.

It's BAD!
The only thing that will get views on this site is smut, and only smut.
Which is the most disgusting stuff you will ever read.
The entire site is flooded with just straight up porn, rape fuel smut, furrie crap, werewolf and Twilight novel wannabes, queer dear, and waspi romance crap nobody asked for.
What's worse for those who read, is that this site is also flooded with stories about incest, rape and statutory rape, attempted rape---just every single thing on here has some kind of rape involved. Even though you can adjust your settings to exclude novels with that content, why would the site even allow that form of work on the platform anyway? I mean if its a violent story that's understandable, I get that...But the overwhelming volume of inappropriate and questionable content on here is very alarming. Is this a pedo website? Where are the website's moderators? They are completely absent! XD

It's the worst site to host your novel, and if your work doesn't fall in any of those categories, then you'll be pulling teeth with a wrench trying to get even just one like or follow.

It's an outdated, nerdy abandoned website that needs mental help.
Nothing to see here pal, do yourself a solid and leave that place alone.

I love how diverse Inkitt is, there are authors from all over the world who share their passion and work. Inkitt provides a place for the average person to publish their imagination. Absolutely one of the best apps!

Great app to discover unknown authors with amazing stories!

I used to think I didn't have the time anymore to write myself but Inkitt helped me get out of that funk. I like the ease of using the platform and writing on it, but I also like the sense of community I gain from using Inkitt and engaging with the members of its community. Knowing Inkitt's overall values and mission also helped me decide I would write on this platform and not elsewhere, because I want to help in democratizing the publishing industry and giving people a fair chance to exercise their writing passion!

This is the perfect place to discover new authors and stories that I wasn't familiar with before. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for fresh new books!

Very interesting app. You can get in contact with authors and follow their journey. Loads of stuff to read for free. Lot of fan fiction as well. Perfect for bookworms.

I discovered Inkitt a few months ago and it's awesome. So many free books to read across genres. It's my favorite reading platform and I love how they support upcoming authors in getting started.

I've been reading stories on Inkitt for a while now, and I can always find something fun to pass the time - it's free to read and fun to see the work in progress novels from different indie authors.

It's a scam. People from Inkitt reach out to you for the job opportunities and ask you to download the Inkitt app before hand( they say it's must). Even before interviewing just asking people through email to download the app. I did use and I prefer kindle over anything.

Site that has porn on it written by 10 year olds. Awful translations, terrible grammar and even eorse stories. Just use Wattpad

Scam website. Just google Inkitt scam and see the hundreds of articles that come up.

I left Wattpad because of toxic readers and badly written porn produced by little girls who think an abusive boy is boyfriend material. So, I tried Inkitt. What was I thinking? The reason I stayed with Wattpad so long was because I liked the interface and ease of use when uploading my stories. Interaction and comments are frequent and encourages you to keep writing.

Not so with Inkitt. It's like settling for a plainer, cheaper version of a designer wedding dress. I uploaded one of my novels and had some difficulty with finding a cover. I had to go directly to Canva, unlike Wattpad, which gives you the option on their website. Once I had the novel up, I found the lack of tags alarming. There are hardly any to choose from to make your story easier to find. I had to search for my story by name. If I were a reader looking for a decent historical romance, I wouldn't know where to look.

The site is saturated with Mafia billionaire erotica and the usual werewolf copycats trying to emulate their crazier counterparts on Wattpad. I found a few stories, but that was it. I quickly discovered the lack of reader interaction was demoralizing and felt a constant need to follow others just to get a read. I shouldn't have to do that. And when I did, only one responded in kind.

It's also very quiet. If you post your story, you will not be noticed. No one will know you're there. Want to be ignored? Post on Inkitt. I think I suffered through two weeks of this before I deleted everything and my account. It was too frustrating to stay and the stories really weren't that good.

I would not recommend Inkitt if you're hoping to break into writing. Their promises of publication seem designed to lure would-be authors into submitting their work for very little in return. I did not feel comfortable with my story on the website. I don't know why. Perhaps it was the amateurish covers and lack of effort in attracting real talent that threw me off.

So, here I go.

I have stories and no one to read them.

Sigh.
