Please read as many reviews before getting gas buddy. I'm glad I did. Thank you to all who took the time to write a review, it saved me and family members money and time.

Seems like my account is not working now. I have done everything you asked. Now if you could fix this it would be greatly appreciated. I am a Regional manager for a pharmaceutical company. My company has thousands of GasBuddy accounts. If mine can't get be fixed I am going to have the company discontinue all GasBuddy accounts losing your company hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Silly that you would want this instead of fixing an account which had been with you for years. Simply because one of your employees bullied my nephew who is autistic. I will make sure many people hear about this. They employ immature people like Cady and Nychole who like bullying people.

Absolutely the worst company. Simply find another company is my advice.

I feel Cady with this company should be TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY. This person is the rudest person ever who is a keyboard warrior, and bully. I had an issue he didn't agree with. So he simply terminated my account to prove he supposedly has all the power.

This community-driven app is only as good as it's subscribers want it to be! Instead of posting the advertised sign price on the pump, they're posting a price that includes rewards they're getting with their gas credit card.

Gasbuddy keeps getting worse over time. They award points to people for posting prices. In order to earn points a lot of posters just post whatever price someone else posts. A lot of the time the prices are very far from the real price. Their disclaimer that they are crowdsourced which could be a valid excuse for all the wrong prices being reported; however, this could be avoided by only allowing the prices to be reported on the app. When a person earns points on the app they have to be within a half mile in order to earn points. When they post on the web I'm not sure how far away they are.
If points are only awarded when posting on the app I think you would see a huge improvement in reports of gas prices.

Yeah, every time I go to the site and then go to the gas station. There are 45 cents at least 45 cents higher than any of them. What you say they are, so you're false advertising for these companies. You ought to be taken off the website. Never put back on very dissatisfied, wouldn't trust you again if my life depended on it.

I had been a loyal customer since 2020, but this recent incident has me fuming! I had fraud on my bank in August and had to freeze everything, so my $9.99 monthly fee was “returned.” About a week later, a charge comes through for $23.80 from GasBuddy. I know I haven’t gotten gas lately, so I email customer service and ask what this charge is. Their representative, Cady, responds that it is their $9.99 fee plus a $15 return item fee. I reply that I never agreed to any egregious $15 fee just because their membership fee was declined. Cady responds with a snotty attitude saying, “All users must agree to our terms of service and that includes a non-sufficient funds clause.” Too bad for Cady, but I already read the terms of service and there is absolutely no mention of any dollar amount associated with their non-sufficient funds clause. I’m still waiting to see if they are going to refund me the full $23.80 and I will update the review when I find out. I will NEVER trust this company again and I have deleted my account with them.

***Update***
They never returned the money they stole from my account, I had to go through my bank and dispute the charge as fraud. Once my bank saw there was absolutely no mention of a bogus $15 fee, they immediately sided with me and returned my money. I hope Gas Buddy enjoys that chargeback, if they get enough, the major credit card companies will remove their right to use them as a payment method. They won’t be in business long after that. Good riddance Gas Buddy.

Don't trust Gas buddy
Gad buddy will do everything in their power to complete screw you over just for fun read there privacy policy in witch it clearly states they will share information with law enforcement and insurance company's they keep track of your driving ever if you disable to promotions they still log information and share it with law enforcement and insurance company's while this might not seem like a big deal wait until the cops show up at your door because you were driving about the posted speed limit or wait until your insurance premium goes up because of what Gas buddy is reporting

I signed up with Gas Buddy on August 9, 2023 and today I couldn't sign on to my bank account because my user ID was incorrect. Once I proved to my bank I owned the accounts their research has shown my account user ID was changed. I did have my payment account linked to Gas Buddy and perhaps that is how this all started. So far I have not received any fraudulent charges. Only the Gas Buddy small deposits and withdrawal to verify my account. I don't know if Gas Buddy's site lacks appropriate security or has anything to do with this however I can put out a buyer beware review.

The app hasn't worked in 3 days. Customer support is virtually non existing. I restarted my phone and reinstalled the app like they suggested but it still won't work and now they will not answer any emails. Don't install this app.

Their rules continuedly change and falsely advertise what they honor. Customer service is 0. Lack of support but provide tons of excuses why the customer was wrong...Scammer of public

I've been dealing with "Cady" from Gasbuddy regarding invalid GB links and malicious (false) posting of increases of prices by competitors, especially those from newly formed account.

Cady in my opinion doesn't have the aptitude, judgment, and cognitive reasoning to be able to address even the most basic matters. Cady writes "where did I get the invalid links from"? Seriously? Um duh. From your website. Cady appears to me very lazy and unsuitable for their current role.

Trying to escalate this issue is impossible. It's not surprising I suppose given how they're not taking any action against malicious price reporters.

I have been sitting on the side of an expressway for now four hours . The tow company I finally called them, and they said they never even received an order from these people. WTH. Unbelievable worst sevice I’ve ever seen in my entire life. !!! I don’t buy the roadside assistance. I’m going to cancel it immediately.!! what a waste of money

Very disappointed with GasBuddy and its lack of information during this gas shortage in South Miami Dade County (April 15th-17th and continuing). It took a couple of days to start showing gas stations without gas. Now it shows a few with and without and the "with" actually do not have gas. There's more emphasis on the prices. Who cares about the pricing during a gas shortage crisis? Focus on who has gas and who doesn't. And, yes, I'm aware that they rely on information from the public. That's another concern especially depending on what community you're in. Good luck getting accurate information.

After signing up on the website gasbuddy my credit monitoring service reported my cell phone number was found on the dark web.

Regular unleaded at my neighborhood Alon was reported by GasBuddy to be $3.09/gallon based on a user submission 17 hours ago. In reality it's $3.499 and the staff say it's been that price all week. GasBuddy claims to be "crowdsourced" but based on all the complaints about wildly inaccurate prices that can't be true. The "login" system seems to be no more than your username and a system generated nickname that it gives you the option to change it but the new nickname instantly reverts to the system generated one. Overall GasBuddy feels more like "clickbait" for advertising revenue than an actual gas price finder. AVOID and DO NOT TRUST.

I am a Gas Station owner in Massachusetts and my gas prices are substantially lower than what is posted on Gas Buddy. Whoever is driving around for this site posting these prices is intentionally making them higher than what they are supposed to be for whatever reason.

No longer receiving the 20 cent/gallon discount for the GasBuddy Premium membership. I have tried to contact support for over a week now and have got no reply. I have not exceeded the 50 gallon/month limit. No customer service is the biggest problem here. Will be canceling my membership next month

Just returned from filling up at Sam’s warehouse in Ontario California. When I looked at my gas buddy app while in line it said the price for regular was $5.39. The service station at the Sam’s Club is very small and the line was very long I must’ve waited for 30 minutes before I got up to a station pump when I did I noticed that the price was not $5.39 but $5.69. Even while in line my gas buddy app said $5.39. This was an expensive disappointment. I could’ve gone to Costco which was not very far from where I was at and filled up for less money. In either event you should be able to rely on an app to give you the most recent results. This obviously was not the case and I am truly disappointed in the gas buddy app. Don’t know if I use it anymore.
