I purchased the Nordic bench, along with the GHD and leg extension/curl attachments. I also ordered the cable attachment by accident and they processed my return of that with no hassle whatsoever. The quality of the equipment is second to none. The design and tutorial videos are excellent and easy to follow. The detail they put into the packaging alone speaks to the attention to details and quality this company has prioritized. It translates to the equipment itself which has worked flawlessly. The number of exercises that you can do with this one piece and store in such a small footprint is remarkable. I absolutely love mine and feel like I received more than what I paid for! Thank you!

I purchased the HyperPro and realized that I wanted to downsize to a more minimal setup in my home gym. When I ordered the HyperPro, the shipping time surprised me—it came way faster than expected! The packaging was done very well: I especially loved the foam bricks for padding being wrapped in plastic as that helped immensely with reducing the foam spreading everywhere. The packaging itself was immaculate, although I think it was a bit unnecessarily complex. I think the packaging could be simplified a bit. The build quality also seemed excellent!

When I had decided to return it, I contacted the customer support, and they were very quick to respond and were helpful and just overall outstanding! We had a good lot of back and forths to organize the return situation, but we eventually figured it out. Their communication was excellent and clear. In the end, they were promptly able to initiate a refund.

I would potentially buy some of FreakAthlete's other products again all because their customer service, shipping, packaging, and build quality are excellent, but especially because their customer support was outstanding!

I do want to reiterate that the packaging could definitely be improved and simplified for better protection during shipping and the ease of unpacking or repacking for returning it.

I’ve had a horrible experience with Freak Athlete. I ordered the ABX with some associated accessories. I ordered in February and was told the items would ship no later than April 30th. I even followed up at the start of April to confirm everything was ok and my order was still coming. I was assured by a customer service representative named Angel that everything was still good to go and my order would be shipped by the 30th April. The 30th April came and went, so I reached out again enquiring as to what was happening, hoping to get some tracking information. I then get told there has been a delay and my order will now be shipped on May 31st. Shortly after that I received another email informing me that my order will now not arrive until the end of June. They apologised and gave me a $100 refund as if that somehow makes up for the massive delay and inconvenience, what the f*?

The product FINALLY arrived at the end of June. I opened their online instructions and found that the instructions didn’t align with what I had in front of me. So instead of it being an easy process, I was left to guess where everything went and work it out by myself. I emailed Freak Athlete to highlight the deficiency and they replied a day later with a Youtube video link made by a Youtuber four months ago who had the same problem with their product. So instead of fixing a deficiency that they’re aware of or sending different instructions to their non-US customers, they’ve let someone not employed by their company do the hard work, and then when someone complains, they just send them the Youtuber’s video link. How appalling is that?

I assembled the item on my gym floor as that was obviously where I was going to be using the bench. Whilst assembling, I noticed a fair amount of left over swarf from the manufacturing process. So now, I have metal filings and spirals that are embedded in my rubber gym flooring. Again, this is appalling. Whilst not a big issue as it’s just aesthetic, but there were marks on the top of the bench on the fabric. I wouldn’t have cared about the marks, but coupled with the other issues and it compounds my frustration and disappointment.

I do not recommend Freak Athlete and would advise anyone looking to purchase any of their products to stay away and look elsewhere. This whole experience has been extremely draining.

Absolutely appalling experience. I was lied to from the moment of purchase. The sales agents made promises they had no intention of honoring, and once they had my money, their attitude completely changed. Instead of receiving the quality product I was promised, they shipped a defective item. When I contacted customer service, they refused to take responsibility, ignored their own commitments, and kept changing their story.

This company’s business practices are deceptive and show a complete lack of integrity. They appear far more interested in making sales than standing behind the products they sell or treating customers fairly. If this is how they routinely conduct business, consumers should think twice before trusting them.

Based on my experience, I believe this company’s conduct poses a serious risk to consumers because of its misleading sales tactics and refusal to resolve legitimate product issues. I would never purchase from them again and strongly encourage others to shop elsewhere.

I've been extremely impressed with Freak Athlete from start to finish. The ordering process was simple, shipping was fast, and everything arrived exactly as described and well packaged.

The quality of the equipment exceeded my expectations. It's sturdy, thoughtfully designed, and clearly built by people who understand strength training and long-term durability. You can tell a lot of attention went into both the product and the customer experience.

Customer service was also outstanding—responsive, professional, and genuinely helpful whenever I had questions.

I was a little confused when I received my order confirmation details, where it said there are 4 boxes being shipped to me when I only ordered 2 of the Adjustable Kettlebells. Luckily, Benji and Jas was there to clarify that I've ordered the correct quantity of items and are only being shipped in 4 separate boxes. Silly me. Communication was clear and detailed. I can't wait for my Adjustable Kettlebells! Thanks guys, you legends!

Bought the ABX with all the adaptors, bench arrived with a little bend in the upper side due to shipping. Sent an email an customer service has been in touched daily to make sure I’m completely satisfied with the product and the service. Extraordinary support. Great experience and great product

These guys and their service was so good. It’s so rare these days, I’m stoked to have bought from them. Constant communication, friendly and understanding. Delayed product = email from the CEO apologising and refunding us a small amount. That amount wasn’t huge, the gesture however was enormous. Anyone thinking of buying from them, do it. You won’t regret it for the service alone.

When I inquired about it, Freakathlete immediately granted the additional discount and issued a refund for the difference without any hesitation. The invoice was adjusted that same day. So far my experience with the brand has been nothing short of amazing. The equipment is made well, instructions are clear, and the communication is top notch. The customer service time was so quick to respond and handle my inquiry. Definitely will be returning as a customer.

I had a ping on my adjustable kettlebell break and they responded to my email within hours and already took action to send me a replacement. I heard their customer service was top notch and was one of the reasons I purchased equipment from them, and it is great to be able to experience it first hand.

Asside from great product (Hyper Pro), customer servise is exactly as customer service should be: fast, friendly, helpful.

The Freak Athlete Team was TERRIFIC! I purchased a second home and wanted to outfit my new home gym. The challenge is that we're splitting time between the two places, and they're over 1000 miles apart. I explained my situation to their support team, along with my many questions about what's included "standard" with the HyperPro bench. They were extremely responsive (very clear) and "can do" in terms of timing the shipment to accommodate our back and forth travel schedule. This was extremely helpful and the equipment (2 adjustable kettlebells and the HyperPro bench) are arriving very promptly which means I'll not only have time to take delivery, but to set up and start using the equipment. VERY excited!! It has been a very positive experience working with them.

UPDATE JULY 26

While I have not received the order yet, the communication from the company has improved,the owner reached out to me and apologized, provided additional helpful and clarifying information,and advised the ads would be revised to make clear the delay between order and ship date, which I've now seen has been changed on their recent ads.

UPDATE JULY 2020

After posting the review and emailing my complaints the company did reach out and apologized for the miscommunication regarding delivery being 3 months after my purchase and correcting their website to reflect a late August delivery, a notice that had not appeared previously. at this time I'm still unaware when I am going to receive my purchase other than late August at the latest, and while disappointing at least they communicated and apologized.

This company is a complete scam, they take your money, God knows when or if you'll ever receive a product you paid for, and you definitely will never reach customer service.

I bought my almost $2000 purchase a few days ago, I was told it would be shipped within 1 to 2 days, I never received any email confirming the order was being processed, no shipping information, and no response to numerous emails to customer service.

On online sites not infiltrated by bots my experience is shared it appears by just about everyone.

Buyer beware, this is a sketchy company.
