A middleman-service created to financially exploit
I was looking for a company which would help with lower shipping cost from UK to Ireland(yes literally next door). I could easily have gone ordering the item from the place of purchase paying €30. In the end I paid high shipping from market place, not too mention high import cost for a piece of plastic(not dangerous or electronic)
I now know why the shipping fees doesn’t show on the website

Firstly, even though Ireland is geographically next to the UK, it is a totally different country. With any purchases from abroad, your local customs or the Irish government will charge tax and duty for importing the goods into the country. Our courier is simply collecting it on their behalf.
We understand it is frustrating not to expect to pay local tax and duty. Unfortunately, it is outside our control, and it is clearly stated on our website and on multiple pages, including during the order, that the international shipping fee of £26.78 you paid us excludes local tax and duty.
Regarding the shipping fee, the shipping cost depends purely on the weight, dimension and shipping destination, regardless of the item or its value. We do not know what our customer will be ordering from the store and sending to us, hence we will not know the size of the package. We have a shipping calculator publicly available on our website. This will enable visitors to our website to check the shipping rates before they decide to use our service. We always aim for transparency, which is why we display a shipping calculator on our pricing page that provides accurate, live shipping fees before dispatch.
Our shipping fee doesn't just cover the postage, they include the use of our UK address, the entire fulfilment process of receiving, processing, securely storing, picking, dispatching your packages, and includes all the export or shipping documents.

Wayyyyy too expensive
Wayyyyy too expensive. There are other companies that ship from UK to US that’s way more affordable. My items were $73 I paid over $300 in shipping. RIP OFF. DO RESEARCH there are better rates!

Upon checking, we can confirm your package contained perfumes, which are flammable and classified as dangerous goods and have a courier surcharge and re-packaging fees which are depended on the type of goods and volume. International Air Transport Association, IATA and International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road, ADR have strict rules in place when transporting these goods. These rules are regulated and apply to all international shipments. Shipping it without adhering to the rules will result in a return/disposal and a fine.
The fee you paid included the Dangerous Goods courier surcharge, repacking and shipping fees. This means the fee would be higher compared to shipping a regular package.
There is information available on our website regarding shipping dangerous goods for customers to consult before shipping, customers can also contact us via help@forwardvia.com to request a dangerous goods quote and check if goods can be shipped to their Country before using our service.
We believe we offer competitive shipping rates compared to other UK forwarders, not all UK forwarders are trained and certified to ship Dangerous Goods. Some forwarders charge lower shipping rates, but then some charge subscription fees, shorter free storage periods, package receiving fee, mail out, and other charges. We urge customers to compare services and fees of other well-known UK forwarding companies should they wish to do so before using our service.

High Fees
Fast service, and very easy to use but high costs. I wanted to try and use a forwarding service to bring down the cost of shipping individual items but unfortunately it ended up being more than if I had shipped individually after using forwardvia. Good service but with the combination of high consolidation fees and courier fees it would have been cheaper to ship everything individually through the actual store.
