They falsely advertised my partners flights as being direct when both flights had layovers. When trying to upgrade to premium was told someone would contact me in 3-5 hours. 24 hours later, nothing. Being past from agent to agent, totalling 11. At 1 point was told my request for date change was being processed, I did not request this. Was told I would have to go through virgin but virgin do not handle 3rd party bookings. When asking if I could speak to a supervisor or manager was told this is not possible... Then was told they cant amend the booking because she has checked in. She hadn't in checked as she was told specifically not to. Their listed numbers either do not work or they are unable to receive calls at this moment. You handle flight bookings, you should always be available to handle customer service requests!!! Out of sheer desperation and anxiety my girlfriend said her mental health was deteriorating and asked if she threatened to jump off a bridge if she would be asked to wait? She had been waiting over 27hours and each agent just leaves a note on her file and tells her to continue waiting without taking action to resolve the issue. She was told "Excuse me, but I can't tell you otherwise, it's been a while." The chat was ended by the agent 6 minutes later. I wish I could post screen shots to validate everything I am saying.

Incorrect booking details
lastminute.com imported my name incorrectly from my profile on Booking.com, where I made my holiday reservation. My first name was used as my surname, and vice-versa. This resulted in my boarding pass being issued with my name incorrectly. The first thing I did was to call BA customer service, asking them to correct it. They told me it had to be lastminute.com to do it, as they were the ones who made the booking with them. They also advised me that if I didn't correct the name on the boarding pass, I would not be let onto the plane.
I spent the whole day on a constant back and forth with lastminute.com via online chat, in which they failed to assure me that the name on my booking would be corrected in time for the flight, and that my request had been escalated to the appropriate team at that they would get in touch with me eventually. At some point in the afternoon, I received an email asking for a copy of my passport, which I promptly sent to them. A few hours later, I received an email saying there was nothing they could do and that the airline could fix this for me!
I went through an ordeal for no good reason, thinking I might not be able to board the plane and go on holiday, and even considered booking another seat on the same flight because I had been told by BA to begin with that I could not change the booking details directly with them. By that time, the flights were so expensive, I actually considered cancelling the whole thing.
Their customer service is atrocious and the online chat is next to useless as the staff is instructed not to provide any information outside what the rule book says. It was like talking to robots, repeating themselves over and over again.

Please do not book with lastminute.com they may offer good prices but they have very poor customer service. We had to cancel our trip to maui due to the wildfires all non essential travel was put into place. Hawaiian airlines were refunding customers who couldn't travel to Maui although the flights were continuing for those who needed to get to Maui, even through 3rd party they were instructing them to give refunds for non essential travel. We were following government and tourist board information and allowing Maui to grieve for there loss. However, lastminute.com refused to refund us and are benefitted from this. At least give this money to the people of Maui as a donation and stop pocketing from losses. Please please do not book through lastminute.com. you cant even get hold of them.

I booked a holiday to Thailand for 2020 and nearly 3 years later, LM are still withholding my full refund. After several emails and telephone calls, I am getting nowhere.
I know most businesses had a hard time, throughout the pandemic, but these thieves are taking our money and laughing at us. And it’s not on.
Do the right and legal thing LM - refund your customers.

Booked a flight through lastminute.com in December 2021, the flights were cancelled 2 weeks before we were due to fly in Feb 2022. 10 months later and after hours of back and forth we still haven’t been refunded the £770 owed. Having spoken to the airline they say lastminute.com never requested the refund from them and they have no mechanism to refund us. The customer service team just read a script at you and it’s laughable the number of times we’ve been told we’ll have the refund “soon”. We’re now trying to take them to court and they’re still denying any accountability saying they’re waiting on the airline. Absolutely shocking experience. Cannot fathom how they are allowed to operate in the UK. AVOID USING AT ALL COSTS

Airline confirm flight available Lastminute claims not and cancel booking!
Had booking (PNR: RJBHHZ) for 24th Dec, for whatever reason airline changed and offered 25th, asked Lastminute to check for 24th as could see flight available on website, contacted airline agreed with airline to accept 25th, Lastminute came back said nothing available for 24th or 25th and cancelled my booking!! Really annoyed with this situation that Lastminute seems to have placed me in and who is telling the truth, airline says flight available and can see this when I login and it is even showing on “manage booking” on airline website, but Lastminute say nothing available!
List unavailable hotel and then don't automatically refund
Happy to take a booking for a hotel that the list as available but then when unable to fulfil the booking they offer an alternative hotel (no response to this alternative within a timeframe means it's confirmed) and if you decline the alternative then a full cash refund is not always offered. Customer service are clueless and just read what you can see as a customer on the screen. Last time I ever use LastMinute!
Lastminute.com ignoring refund of £2600.00
I have not been able to redeem about £2550.00 from a previously cancelled flight. I copied and pasted refund voucher number in the redemption form when buying new tickets recently. I found out later that there was no refund made and my credit card was charged full price of tickets of £4600.00 approx. Since then I have made several attempts to contact Lastminute.com but failed. All phones are switched off with taped messages. Online virtual support has fixed FAQs not relevant to my request of refund. I have even messaged LM on FBmessenger.
This travel booking site is unreliable, uncontactable and untrustworthy. It has caused me undue stress and financial loss. lots of time and energy wasted. It owes me about £2600.00. Lastminute is not safe to use for buying air tickets or hotels.

Just booked through lastminute.com.
Return flight showed as GBP92.xx. Including a premium service package of about GBP4. ALL RATES, TAXES AND FEES INCLUDED. Their words not mine. As I put the payment through the card, the amount flicked over to GBP118.xx in front of my eyes. No way to intervene or stop the payment. I repeated the process to check and it was back to the original flight price. Have sent the screen shot to customer services and they are saying I was charged what was shown. Clearly not. This is FRAUD

I had to cancel my flight in October 2022 from London to India. After some efforts and many minutes in waiting, I was able to get some refund. I requested the lastminute.com to give me the breakdown of deductions (how much the airline deducted and how much they charged) so I could claim from travel insurance but in spite of repeated phone/e-mails, they did not give me an answer. Very unsatisfactory customer service. I would advise not to use this company at all.
UNHELPFUL lastminute.com
To advise readers to avoid lastminute.com would be an understatement. I booked tickets for four adults to travel to Gatwick for specific dates. Just as I was completing the booking, lastminute.com flashed up on the screen & changed my flight dates. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the change of dates until I'd completed payment. Instantly I tried to change the dates, all to no avail. I looked for a change of dates for the flight or a refund, but to no avail. Even though I paid for check-in & boarding passes, within 24 hours of flight departure, lastminute.com informed me that they couldn't perform the transaction due to technical difficulties & offered no help. Luckily for me, Ryanair came to my rescue & provided boarding passes for 35 cents. Only two of us were able to travel on lastminute.com's altered dates.
My advice to all reading this, BE CAREFUL when dealing with lastminute.com.

3rd time used Lastminute.com for a trip for 7 nights to Lanzarote - again excellent, booked, paid and received all necessary documents, then waited for trip and all went smoothly - no issues at all with flights or hotel, thanks again.
Utterly useless site
Utterly useless site. Booked a room that was non refundable. These rooms if booked directly with the hotel are changeable (not refundable) up to 24 hours before. Lastminute only allow a full cancellation meaning you lose virtually all your money. Go direct to the hotel. It's always as cheap or cheaper and the customer service is better. They hate these booking sites and so won't go out of their way either. Wasted £40 (not a lot but even so) using Lastminute and will never use them again. Their customer services said they would call back, but never di.

Lastminute.com terrible service!
Lastminute.com, who now manage bookings on booking.com if you book flights with your hotel, do not pay hotels! This supposed travel agent did not act as an agency for us: we had to communicate with our hotel and pay for it again, despite having paid lastminute 3 months earlier, and having called them numerous times to ask them to ensure that our accommodation was paid before our arrival.
It then took two weeks to claim a refund, and they blamed the hotel for not being able to use their payment systems, rather than taking responsibility as an agent. They don't have an address to write a complaint to either.
Lastminute should vet whether the accommodation they book are able to use their systems rather than putting the onus on customers to sort out.
Do not use lastminute.com not book packages through booking.com unless you want a very stressful holiday and terrible customer service!
Cancelled Eurostar package to Lille

I booked a Eurostar package to Lille through Lastminute.com on July 20. I became concerned when I received no information about train tickets and check-in in the days leading up to the trip on August 11, so I called them several times and was told they we're looking into it and would get back to me, but never resolved the issue or returned the calls. I then received a call from a woman saying there had been a problem on their system and the tickets hadn't been confirmed with the operator, but she was looking into and would get back to me. She also suggested that we could buy tickets at the station and get reimbursed, which I found absurd. After calling again and being told the same story, I received a text and email saying the trip had been cancelled and that I'd be receiving a refund within 10 days. No response or accountability from customer services for the inconvenience, just automated messages. I will never use them again.
Update December: Lastminute finally called after months, apologised and offered an actual goodwill payment, but this was much less than the voucher they offered which could only be used at their company. Still, slightly better than nothing at all I guess.
