Quote for filter system
I had requested a quote. But Mr Filter came all equipped and ready to install😩🤣.
He said going about giving quotes is too expensive.
Also time given to me was between 2 and 4pm on 24/11 when called on 17/11. Was told will be communicated when closer to the day. As there was no communication I called around 11.15am on 24/11 to check if the scheduled appointment was still open. Lo and behold🙀. I was told the technician will arrive between 11.30am and 12.30pm. I was going to do my groceries before 2pm appointment. The technician hadn’t arrived by 1 pm. When phoned AGAIN it was that the technician was walking up and down the street without a GPS guidance. WHAT🙀🤷🏻♀️Inside the kitchen when I explained to him that this visit was only to advise me with what can or cannot be done he was adamant to install. I had a friend talk on the phone and then requested this technician to leave specifications he said he will get the company to email this information to me.
His comments at my door when leaving was: “Tap water is good, stay with that”🤷🏻♀️. Wonder if this advice is from him personally or representative of the company.
Also, I was told on my first call that the water pressure will be checked by the technician using an appropriate tool. This technician just opened the tap for less than 5 seconds and said that the pressure was too high and that it needed another thing for $70.

Your review is not of our product as you do not have it. You called us, enquiring on our product, requested for an installation appointment and unfortunately from the moment our installer arrived at your home, you insulted him, spoke unkind words, invited him to your home, asked the same questions you asked over the phone then attacked and criticised him until the moment he left.
Please be kinder to our tradies whose job requires them to be on the road all day. If they are running late, it is not a red flag, it is human nature as there are various reasons beyond their control that they could be running for (ie waiting on customers who are running late from dropping their kids to school in the morning or customers who may have been coming back home from appointments and are running late etc).
You simply wasted our time and verbally attacked our installer with your unkind words. Your review is also doing the same, attacking our staff and company for a product you did not purchase or have installed. Your words are of a very unkind nature and we hope that you can see where we are coming from and attacking a gentleman like that is very uncalled for.

I’ve been a customer for many years but…
I’ve been a customer for many years but the latest filter replacement cost a bomb, far more than retail. I trusted them to supply a reasonable priced service and until now I’ve been happy. The service guys are great. Customer service has been hit and miss too. When I queried the cost of one of the filters that I was charged $135 for, that I could buy retail for $60, I was told it is rising prices, and maybe I’d better buy my own next time then. Sadly, I not longer recommend them and I will find somewhere else to go.

Dear Jenny, your file shows you were provided many discounts over the years despite us travelling further to reach your home and despite you requesting for a non standard filter cartridge, something we only special order for you - our charges are only fair to cover the increase in costs from our manufacturers. As a small Australian business to survive, we also need to ensure we can charge to cover our costs. Remember, that charge covers the cost of the product as well as someone coming to your home to do the labour work to change the filters. We are sorry to hear of your comments as we we have tried to maintain our prices and not increase on our customers for so many years.

Dear Kon Tech, your prices for previous years were discounted to you. $150 was not the usual cost for that higher grade product that you have installed. $170 was the usual price for that product. As explained to you, post covid our manufacturer prices increased and we no longer are able to provide you the discounts we could earlier. As a small Australian business to survive, we also need to ensure we can charge to cover our costs. Remember, that charge covers the cost of the product as well as someone coming to your home to do the labour work to change the filters.
