Agent tried to help but Engage credit are trying to tell me I owe money I’ve already paid. I’ve even received a statement showing I paid it. Don’t deal with this company it’s shocking!! I was on the phone for 1 hour 16 mins & it still wasn’t resolved. I’ve had to now file a formal complaint I’m very unhappy

Automated phone message when holding on the phone stated waiting time of less than five minutes. Took 25 minutes to speak to someone. Paperwork statement I received in the post was inaccurate and hadn't been updated even after 4 months of making a change. Was assured change would be updated. Didn't fill me with confidence.

There are two ladies I spoke with them at different times this morning, and they were very professional. Their customer service is excellent; I couldn't remember my password and they guided me through each step. I'm going to receive a letter in the post in couple of days time. She talk me through what will be in the letter stage by stage. I haven't even discussed my problem with them because I couldn't get through, so they couldn't access my account, but the way they responded to me is as if my problem had been resolved. The first lady I spoke to I didn’t remember my password if you try order means and she said I should call back in the next 10 minutes that she might not be the one that will pick the phone. It might be another colleague so I called back another colleague Pete both of them as I said customer service very good.

Efficiency..helpfulness understanding

The operator was very polite and helpful, even spoke English without a foreign accent, which makes a change when calling for the customer services for institutions in this country.

Avoid !!! Such a Robbing company, there rates are unbelievable , they have no compassion or help for there customers, they bleed you dry, my rate of 9% on a variable now has crippled me and my family for 5 years, causing depression and anxiety and we can’t get out due the the arrears ,I may as well have chucked all my money down the drain and it’s not budged with the interest they are charging.
A Trip to my local mp and FOS once again ,this company should be closed down , half of the decent reviews are fake !!!

Avoid unless you wanna get done over

I have been dealing with Engage Credit as my mortgage servicer since 2015, and the past 11 years have been nothing short of exhausting, distressing, and life-altering.

I am currently pursuing legal action against them, so I will keep this concise—but people deserve to be warned. In my experience, this is an extraordinarily incompetent and deeply troubling company. Errors are constant, accountability is non-existent, and complaints are routinely dismissed without proper investigation.

Their behaviour feels oppressive. Instead of communicating clearly, they bombard you—multiple letters in a single day, often repeating the same content. It feels less like communication and more like intimidation. The impact on my mental health has been severe; I now feel physically anxious when anything from them arrives.

Most recently, despite entering a formal Breathing Space period, we are once again facing repossession. On the very same day they cancelled an eviction due to Breathing Space, they applied to the court to arrange another. During that protected period, I was informed of additional solicitor’s fees, and my annual statement shows interest continuing to accrue throughout.

This raises serious questions about how they interpret—or choose to ignore—the purpose of Breathing Space protections.

There has been no compassion, no fairness, and no meaningful support at any stage. The overall experience has been one of relentless pressure and disregard for the impact on customers.

If you are ever considering a mortgage connected to this company, proceed with extreme caution. Based on my experience, the emotional and financial toll is simply not worth it.
