Em termos gerais o motorhome funcionou bem, check in e check out ok. Porém, quando investimos um valor mais alto pensando em veículos com menos de dois anos de uso, não foi isso que aconteceu. O nosso esteve com chuveiro soltando, escada para cama das crianças, porta do banheiro não abria por dentro e forno não funcionou. Típicos pequenos problemas que não impedem a viagem mas atrapalham pra uma experiência 5 estrelas.

We just got started with the RV experience. The business owner Sabine was so nice and explained everything so well! Looking for to our next trip!

The RV was in general good. Only two remarks are the quality of the mattress which was terrible. And the airco was outdated, For that money I would expect a thermostatic driven airco instead of on or off.

This was our first family RV trip, and we had a great experience with El Monte RV. The RV was clean and comfortable, and everything worked well throughout our trip.

Unfortunately, we hit a deer during the trip. Thankfully, no one was injured. The front bumper and headlight had some minor damage, but the RV was still safe to drive, so we were able to continue our trip as planned.

We were in an area without cell service and weren’t able to report the accident within 24 hours. The staff were understanding about the situation and helped us through the process, and the damage was covered by our insurance. We were especially glad that we had chosen the VIP Plus coverage.

Overall, we had a very positive experience, both with the RV and the staff at the San Leandro location. We would definitely consider renting from El Monte again for our next RV trip.

We rented an RV the last weeks from Denver to your Seattle office. RV number P-255260. Booking VYO835713-1

We had a very nice trip but unfortunately some hickups of which one causes a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste while being home.
We were promised the RV would be max 2 years old. The RV we got in Denver felt older already. It was not the RV we rented originally, but we did not complain and accepted it. The RV had some damages on the outside and during the roadtrip we noticed several unfortunate things:
- The freezer was not cooling enough and all our food was melting. We reported it but it could not be solved. We bought bags of ice to cool the food. This was reimbursed in Seattle office as promised by Road Support.
- There was water leaking in the RV. It could not be solved and we bought towels to clean up the mess. The extra towel be bought was also reimbursed.
- The city water connection was leaking a lot and some campgrounds made complaints about it. A different pressure regulator improved the situation, but not totally.
- The door to the RV was not closing well and could spontaneous open during driving! During the last days we heard the door and had to pull the door to ‘lock’ again from the inside while driving.

The main issue however a damaged (exploded) tire (inner right backside):
- Around 12.30 on July 23rd, it happened all of a sudden on Highway 2 on our way from Glacier National Park to Coeur d’Alene. After a short contact On Road Care, we drove a few mile on 1 tire less at slow speed to a day parking where we could park safely (after paying).
- After safe parking we contacted On road care again and they escalated the issue to Ford Roadside service. The case manager Veronica helped us very well.
- Ford Roadside Service called us around 12.30 to explain that there is no (free included) service available anymore on that day and we had to wait until the next day in the morning. That was not really acceptable, sleeping at a parking lot and delaying our holiday. The alternative was that a third party would come to help us and we would need to pay for the tire change. Veronica from On Road Care called us as well with that information and found a suitable company in Kalispell. Joe’s Towing could come but we needed to call Joe and give him approval for the cost of $ 650,-. This was a fair price as Veronica told us, since they had to drive 1 hour to reach us from Kalispell. Veronica also told us to document everything and share pictures, which we did. We even saved the broken tire until the Seatlle office where we would be reimbursed. This was discussed with her supervisor as there was no alternative available.
- We decided to do this and waited for another hour for Joe’s Towing to arrive. After 1,5 hours the RV was ready to drive again, we paid $ 650,- and continued our trip. All photos were send to On Road Care USA.
- Next day, we got a message from Ford Roadside Service that Joe’s Roadside Assistance would come at 8 am to fix the RV. This was not needed anymore. I looked it up, the address and phone number were the same. In other words, the same company that had ‘no time’ to come on request of Ford RoadSide Service did had time to come when we paid them $ 650,- ! That call was cancelled after me reaching out to Ford Roadside Service and On Road Care, since we were helped and not at that location anymore.
- We got after the tire exchange tire pressure sensor messages. The On Road Care could not help us to reset the sensor, and since the pressure was fine (checked by Joe when changing the tire), we continued our trip. The sensor of the original tire (which was hanging at the spot of the spare tire), was sending bad information to the board computer (is my assumption).
- In the Seattle office it took some time to explain the situation and a phone call of the local manager (Dirk Saager) to the On Road Care team to get the situation clear that we needed to be reimbursed for the $ 650,-.
- When that was clear, we got the message that we had to pay for the damaged tire. Attached is the invoice of the tire ($ 333.60)…

We think paying a tire that exploded during a normal drive is not normal and totally not fair. The tire is a wear and tear part. Maybe tires were already in a bad shape when we left Denver. Nobody can nor checked the inner tires of the RV.

Contacting the guest services about this complaint has not resulted in any reaction from El Monte. This is not what I would call good service. We would not recommend El Monte in the future.

The Vegas facility needs an uplift. It looks and feels like 3rd world experience. Embarrassing for a 1st world country servicing tourists. Check in was quick for us but so many international visitors were there for hours. I know this because we also where delayed once checked in because of a burst cooling pipe on our RV. The RV was not prep'd and dirty inside. While waiting for linens the pipe burst, thankfully. The linens were cheap colored navy blue and only received 1 pillow & 1 sheet for $75. Ridiculous! Rather sell new packaged linens for that price!! No zip up mattress or pillow protectors...gross! The generator stopped working 2 days from surrender. Otherwise the experience was amazing! Phoning customer service to find out how the oven worked was great. Why not include instructions in the RV?? For the ROI your company makes on each vehicle you should have 1st class facilities and impeccable linens. Whoever is the COO needs to visit these sites. No weekend drop off is just not excusable in the USA.

Nette RV, vrij nieuw, alles werkte naar behoren. Heel blij mee. Opgehaald in Denver en ondanks afspraaktijd nog 1,5 uur moeten wachten tot RV klaar was. Inleveren in Seattle ging heel snel. Fijn dat er op beide locaties kasten waren om spullen in te zetten/mee te nemen.

Alquilamos un rv pequeño porque era nuestra primera vez pero realmente tenía todo lo que necesitábamos. Eramos 2 adultos y 2 niños. El espacio de guardado adentro y afuera era sumamente útil. El rv era muy facil de usar y de manejar. Agregaría una checklist en la puerta de todo lo que hay que tener en cuenta antes de salir. Nosotros rompimos el toldo por no guardarlo y una checklist lo hubiera evitado.

FIRST TIME RENTING . IS WA A GREAT RV EXPECT IT WOULD OF BEEN BETTER IF ITEMS AND USAGE OF RV WAS EXPLAINED BETTER. BED WAS BROKEN AND NOT TOLD ABOUT. OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS A NICE RV.

There was an issue with are our RV when we went to pick up. However the manager was open and honest about it (the slideout wasn’t working) and helped by moving us into a different model. In addition, they provided a significant discount and were so supportive and kind! Things can happen but it’s all about how you handle it and this company was top notch!

Wir hatten ein 1 Jahr altes 29 ft Wohnmobil in einem sehr guten Zustand bekommen. Dieses war sogar besser ausgestattet als wir es gebucht hatten (mit Slide-out).
Sowohl die Übernahme (in Las Vegas) als auch die Abgabe wurden zügig und professionell abgewickelt.
Wir hatten auf der Fahrt einen Steinschlag in der Windschutzscheibe, die dann auch gleich gerissen war. Zum Glück hatten wir eine entsprechende Versicherung abgeschlossen.
Der Manager bei der Abgabe in Dublin (Kalifornien) wahr sehr freundlich und es gab dort keinerlei Probleme wegen des Schadens. Der Manager sprach zudem ausgezeichnet deutsch, obwohl er nur drei Jahre in Deutschland gelebt hat.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder bei El Monte ein Wohnmobil mieten, es stimmte (im Vergleich zu anderen Vermietern) das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und der Service.

While renting an RV long term is never cheap, if you don't have your own RV, El Monte is the next best thing. Prices are competitive with some promos available usually and the vehicles are updated and in good shape when you get them; even though we will always do a deep clean of our own after pick-up. Pick-up and drop-off can sometimes be slow if there are a lot people waiting, so leave additional time. Roadside support is excellent. Until I buy my own RV, it will be El Monte RV every summer.

We rented a A class RV expecting we would get a A class RV. Instead we got a A- RV. It was faling apart! We can understand that everyone wants to rent one and not everybody looks after it. But what we do expect is it to be in order. We felt it was not checkt out. We still payed a lot of money and in fact it was not worth it. Next time we are going to look somewhere else
