I took our dog to The Woodley Vet (Easipetcare) Woodley with sickness and diarrhoea. The vet saw him in the morning, and gave him an injection and some medication to take home. By that afternoon he was a lot worse, with liquid diarrhoea containing blood. I telephoned them and they agreed to see him again. The same vet checked him over, told me he should recover within 24 hours and just needed to rest at home. At this stage he was so weak I had to carry him out to the car.
Within just a few hours, our dog had died.
This vet did not carry out sufficient tests on him to establish why he was so ill, or suggest keeping him in. He was not an elderly or sick dog - just 5 years old.
Please do not risk taking your precious animals to this vets, it's not worth the risk. We trusted them, and our family is now devastated.

A distressing experience during a heartbreaking time
I’m writing this in the hope it helps others make informed decisions when choosing care for their pets. My experience with Easipetcare in Woodley was extremely upsetting, both in terms of the care my pet received and how difficult it has been to raise concerns afterward.
When my beloved Sandy suffered a head injury and was unresponsive, I took him to Easipetcare. Despite his serious condition, we were sent home with painkillers and antibiotics, having paid £350 and been given a sense of hope. Sadly, Sandy showed no improvement—there was no life in his eyes, and he remained unresponsive.
When I called the following Monday, I was told further blood tests would be needed (£80) and results would take another two days. I couldn't bear the thought of prolonging Sandy’s suffering, so I took him to Beechwood Vets instead. They immediately recognised the severity of his condition and diagnosed a brain injury. Within five minutes, we made the heartbreaking decision to let him go.
To make matters worse, Easipetcare’s complaints procedure requires everything to be put in writing. There's no opportunity for a face-to-face conversation during an already emotional time. This approach felt cold and corporate, with no space for empathy or accountability.
This has been a deeply painful experience, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I hope sharing it helps encourage more compassionate care and better communication when people are facing the loss of a beloved pet.
Rip off prices
Woodley branch - Friendly staff but be careful they charged us £51 for Carnural dog ear drops that cost between £9 and £11 online.
Absolutely horrified with this…
Absolutely horrified with this vets,since head vet has gone on Matt leave the surgery has gone downhill,
I have been here for nearly 5 years, Last October, my dog ate some grass which nearly killed her.
They operated emergency, which I agreed to, £3000 it was a major op they sent her home where she rapidly went downhill, I contacted them they told me there were no vets to take her to Shinfield vets who knows she’s coming, incidentally, Shinfield vets had no idea, another thousand pound later, she finally recovered,
My recent visit was she had a small skin tag they done a biopsy. It’s come back clear but it needs to be removed. It’s now got considerably large, they gave me a price over the phone on Thursday and said to bring her in to get it removed, I contacted them today to book her in to be told there is no appointments for the foreseeable future to go and find another vets,
How can they run a system like this? Absolutely disgusting and I feel very letdown.
I also noticed that their prices have crept up,
I don’t believe it’s any longer a affordable vets,
I would say to anybody do your research first they are no longer reliable as they cannot facilitate anything more than a vaccination, seemingly,

A VET that has NO VETS to treat your Pet ?
Take forever to answer phone, Staff are not caring, last time i rang i was told to take my dog to a vets in Reading ? WHY we have NO VETS. Paid for booster for life ( but no vets , Paying monthly for other services cant get appointment NO VETS, now going to look into legal advice if entitled to money back and move to another vets.
Misdiagnosed for years.
Years of misdiagnosis which led to huge surgery and recovery which if done one of the many times I took her in the two years prior would have been a lot less intense, not to mention costly. I even asked once if she should have an x-ray to be sure and was told no. The surgeon even confirmed this was building up for years. Post op care and advice was awful. Now moved to Harrison vets who are superior in every way and cheaper.
Who answers the phone
Great vet but trying to make an appointment by phone is terrible. When I'm there the receptionists never seem to be on the phone, so who is answering the calls? Apart from that they're brilliant just the phone service let's them down
Never again will I take any of my cats…
Never again will I take any of my cats there, had to have our cat put to sleep, they took her away to put a cannula in her for to come back into the room so dozed up. Apparently she went on so bad she was going to kill them. My cat was the calmest thing you would of met. Why they did not come and get us to try calm her is beyond me but instead they gave her diazapam without our consent. When they put her to sleep the vet joking on looked at our cat and said Annie you were trying to kill us. Not appropriate when you have just had your pet put to sleep. Then had no time with her to be told we have other people to see. Please do not take your pets here

I took my beautiful lab pip last week to get spayed in reading after supposed to be routine op she was so ill afterwards rang Saturday told them to contact me straight away they didn’t! I took her to emergency vet Sunday who couldn’t see what was wrong she died in my arms a day later. I phoned today to get a very rude receptionist telling me to stop with my attitude, couldn’t speak to practice manager and email. And didn’t know when she would be in touch!! My dog died after being there. No health issues at all in all of her life ! Rang twice today to be told practice manager would ring and hasn’t. I’m devastated that they have taken the life of my dog. Rang again today 12.10.23 still no response from practice manager. Will update as I go through this process so today Friday no phone call at all from them. Obviously know they have murdered my dog. Pain continues rang again just now and told manager still too busy to call!!! Monday nearly a week after they took pip life no call !!!!! Chasing every day still no one will call!! Guilty as charged
Money prioritises vet treatment
Dog had swelling from an animal bite which burst phoned up got told to bring in immediately got asked if she would bite told them she would be fine if I was there as she would hold but not bite me but unable to say if she would or not be the same with steangers..lady then took dog away came back in a hurry asked to speak to me away from children, said that dog had turned blue and had collapsed and was in need of oxygen and an operation immediately and then proceeded to quiz me if I could pay for the treatment, I am normally composed but at this I questioned if dog was getting oxygen apparently nothing was being administered until I could be given an approx cost and I could cover said costs?? I repeatedly stated just deal with dog....all I got was I need to tell you how much clacking away on the computer...to generate a ball park figure of £350 having already said cost was irrelevant just treat my dog....ended up showing the receptionist my bank balance to prove I could pay....and apparently this was found to be insulting dog got brought back and I was shown the door.
.anyone going to Woodley easycare under emergency conditions let alone just normal care beware they do not care about your pet they only care that they are a 'corporation' and you can pay...
Ironically took dog to the nearest vet within winnersh pets at home dog was triaged vet was sought saw dog Woodley easycare pets phoned me to get my permission to send medical history over...and dog was treated on the spot..bill paid...however this was gunk coming out of mouth and neck of my dog who collapsed and went blue under their care, who was able to breath normally obviously money is the main priority ....and I do hope the receptionist who looked as shocked and made the promise to put it all in a report and subsequent report is made known to me as I will be removing all my animals from easycare register as of yesterday which is the grand total of 3 dogs and 2 cats...never ever I ever been quizzed about the fact if i can afford to pay for care in any situation let alone an EMERGENCY SITUATION caused by the vet team.
I will be waiting for a response and will be taking this further unless reassurances can be made that this was a one off badly handled by vet and practice...I had 2 children with me also who left shocked and upset by the incident...absolutely diabolical. We care for your pet....is a sham
They are changing what they are selling…
They are changing what they are selling during the plan. I have decided to a vet after a long comparison. And after I started the plan 2-3 months later they are changing the terms and conditions, And you want to cancel the plan, you need to pay for the service you bought today with a huge amount. I felt like scammed.

I took my dog for a consultation at the…
I took my dog for a consultation at the woodley branch and was advised he would need a dental descale and possible tooth extraction. At the consultation I explained we had this done 2 years ago and that my dog becomes stressed at the vet. As per my last visit I was able to bring my dog in for the last surgery of the day to avoid unnecessary time for him to be in a Kennel. The vet said she understood and would write additional notes for when I book my
dog in for surgery. I walked out to reception to book my dog in and was told this wouldn’t be possible and she’d had to check and would call me back. After 2 days I had no phone call back so I chased this to be told they still don’t know.
After requesting for the vet to call me, (the same vet I had the initial consultation with) she eventually did but to be told they wouldn’t allow my dog to come in any later then 8:30am and instead can give a calming medication to be given before we come in for surgery.
I was disappointed to be told misleading information but agreed our only option was surgery and that we would have the calming medication. I paid the £470 which was half the estimation and was then advised the medication would need to be prescribed and they’d call me. After several phone calls I still don’t have the medication. Every time I call I’m told they’re short staffed and to email a complaint.
I have since decided to cancel the surgery and go elsewhere. I’m now told I have to go into the practise to obtain a refund (even though the deposit payment was taken over the phone). I’ve had no reply back to my email of complaint and to be brutally honest if they’re so short staffed I’m left Wondering do they even have enough staff on to safely perform this procedure.
Understaffed and distracted
A CLEARLY understaffed practice that gives the distinct feeling that it simply doesn't care and leaves you wondering if your pet is even safe in their hands.
No callbacks, no replies to emails (even after paying a large deposit towards treatment) and misleading information given.

The staff here are so friendly and professional. They really cared about my pets and explained everything clearly. They aren't expensive but give a top quality service. I would definitely recommend them.

The Vetinary nurse went to give my dog a injection that wasn’t for him I was told carateation was £155 including medication and Jew claw removal £13 but after paying £41 consultation fee I was emailed with a total of £910 then got told where did I get that amount from its £300 and something but they told me £910 in a email so feel I paid £41 for nothing g really cause if I was told that price to start with I wouldn’t have had consultation done I would have gone elsewhere so I’m disgusted with how I was treated by this place
Excellent service
Excellent service - the practice may not look immaculate but it is clean and well organised. All the staff appear to love all the animals that come in and the vets themselves make such a fuss of our cats.
Rabbit care
Took my bunny to easipetcare Reading where they did his vaccines and trimmed his teeth. Very pleased with service and little bunny is much happier with his teeth and now eating so much better- thank you!
