The work (replace all felting, install dry ridge & dry verge systems, repoint chimney) has been completed to a high standard and we are pleased with the end result. The manager, Dave, communicated with us very well, came on site regularly to check progress and answered all of our many questions. The roofing team worked hard and were courteous and tidy.

Small job (suspected leaks around chimney) turned into a big one once some tiles were off and state of 80(?) year old felt could be seen. Discussed options/costs with Dave and he mobilised a large team who worked very hard to strip back whole roof. Dave was happy to discuss any concerns that we had and kept me in the loop whilst managing the job. Whole job done within 2 weeks and we were happy with it.

Three stars seems an indecisive award, but that reflects the nature of our experiences to date. On the one hand, all dealings with this company have been helpful, polite, speedy and professional. As I write, a new roof is being completed in what seems record time, and all the workmen involved have laboured really hard, with minimal breaks and great efficiency. Our reservations linger, however, over whether there really was a necessity for a complete re-roof in the first place. The original call-out was for a relatively minor matter. Reading now through all the reviews on this site, there does seem to be a recurring theme of minor, inexpensive jobs turning into major, very expensive ones, and that is our own experience. As two elderly people (one in their eighties and the other in late seventies), both of whom have had medical conditions (including pancreatic cancer), we did not feel well placed (and had no desire) either to dispute or to argue about what we were told. When tiles have been removed, scaffolding is in place and you are faced with a rapid decision as to whether to approve major repairs or not, we opted (as I suspect many people do) for safety and reassurance over protracted discussion or the sheer difficulty of obtaining second and third opinions at that stage. We had no real idea of what a realistic estimate might be. A one-thousand-pound job turned into something over twenty thousand and whether that is a fair price for re-roofing a semi-detached house or not, we still do not know. One further reservation remains and that concerns the twenty-five year guarantee. There seems to be no back-up or registration with a recognised trade body (such as FENSA for windows), so any problems in the future would simply depend on the continuing good-will (and existence) of the company and, ultimately, to be unenforceable. We believe, however, a good job is being done and only time will tell whether we are right.

After calling DW Roofing Dave arranged a visit to check out the problem we were having with a leaking roof over a bay window. Although the company was very busy with many jobs we were lucky that a couple of roofers had just finished a a job. Within 45 minutes Shane and Lee turned up and got on with the job, finishing it the same afternoon, to a very high standard. The work was quick and efficient, everyone we met from the company was polite and responsive to comments and questions and all materials were cleared away at the end of the job. Dave then called back round to see if we were happy with the work carried out, which we were. I can thoroughly recommend DW Roofing and would not hesitate to use them again.

The whole team was professional, polite and tidy. The job was originally a small one but once on the roof it was clear it was a much bigger issue. Everything was explained and showed to us with no pressure of a sale just honest professional advice. The job was then completed in 2 days to a very high standard. Thank you to all the team involved. We contacted DW roofing with a leaky roof, getting actively worse over Christmas. Dave and his team were really prompt and helpful. Despite the busy Christmas period, even though they were fully booked, Dave still organised for his team to come out and secure a temporary cover to stop the problem getting worse (especially in lots of rainy weather). Once they had slots free Dave and his team were super quick to come over and assess the full situation. Although our roof was in a worse state than we thought, Dave laid out all our options and kindly helped us sort out a short and long-term plan that was budget friendly, good quality and most important would keep us dry! The roof was re-felted and tiled within a single day, and their 25 year guarantee on the works means we felt well taken care of! We now feel much more confident in future proofing the house and that everything was water-tight in the meantime. Huge thanks to Dave and his team for their speedy work and for keeping us calm throughout! Would definitely be using again for any roof problems
