Everything about this Chocolate is divine. The authentic cacao flavour outshines anything else on the market. Orange Chocolate is a real weakness of mine and the fact that there are so many delicious flavours to choose from is a real bonus. This Chocolate tastes like love, it's the next best thing to drinking real ceremonial cacao.
The personal little touches, from the hand written letters, to the WhatsApp messages from the founder Dan, make it all the more special. The experience is one of, buying from friends rather than industrial corporations. I love that.
I have searched high and low for a genuine product like this.
Huge thanks to Dan for bringing it to the table.

I loved reading your comparison to ceremonial cacao because that's exactly where I wanted the flavour to come from... real cocoa, proper cocoa butter and quality ingredients, rather than loads of sugar masking everything else.
It's also lovely to hear you noticed the little touches. As we've grown, I've always wanted people to feel like they're buying from real people, not a faceless corporation. Reading that it feels more like buying from friends is probably one of the biggest compliments you could give us.
And yes... the Orange Chocolate seems to have claimed another victim! 😄 It definitely has a habit of becoming people's favourite.

Unfortunately, I have some bad news! I have backstabbed flake in the back after having deliciously guilt free milk Chocolate. Unfortunately, I finished it. I tried mini eggs in ice cream not the same put off then I tried My used to be favourite flake not the same so sweet more like sweat😂🤣
I can’t believe it!
Everyone I highly recommend this Chocolate because you will be put off all the other chocolates and you will change your favourite Chocolate like I’ve done.

I have to admit, this made me laugh.
What you've described is something I hear quite a lot. Once people get used to chocolate that's made with proper cocoa butter and no added sugar, going back to very sweet mainstream chocolate can be a bit of a shock.
I'm sorry to hear your old favourites didn't survive the comparison... although I'm secretly rather pleased! 😄

Pleasantly surprised by these bars. As a chocoholic i wanted something to satisfy my habit, but with less sugar. I do like a dark chocolate too that lingers. Now, whilst these bars dont give you a mighty sweet hit, they dont half linger in the mouth. 4 squares with a cuppa in the evening is enough. And they dont make you want something sweet again half an hour later. Brilliant!

I really enjoyed reading this, Clive... especially your description of the chocolate lingering in the mouth.
That's exactly what proper cocoa butter does. It melts more slowly than many mainstream chocolates, so you get to enjoy the cocoa flavour for much longer.
I also smiled at "four squares with a cuppa." That sounds like a pretty perfect evening to me! 😄
The best part, though, is what you said about not craving something else half an hour later. That's exactly what I hoped our low carb, no added sugar chocolate would do... satisfy the craving, rather than fuel it.

Dietary Needs Chocolate!
Dan is exceptionally friendly as a business owner and truly cares about the satisfaction of his customers. This is especially important and valued when ordering from an independent family ran business!
Onto the product:
I find that the chocolate really scratches the itch for something chocolately and decadent that feels like its worth the treat (I personally like to dip mine in tea, because you just can't beat warm, half melted chocolate). And you can tell with how it responds that it is high quality chocolate.
Now the elephant in the room that some people mention is: "It doesn't taste like regular chocolate" ...
My brothers and sisters in Kryta, this is chocolate for diabetics and those following a keto diet. There is no added sugar. This is why it is ideal. You only need to worry about and track the natural sugars and carbohydrates on your favourite food logging app (and the fat/calories if you're tracking for other needs) It's got all the parts of chocolate taste that still make it a lovely treat, but if youre still eating other high sugar or ultra carb heavy processed foods: it will not taste how you expect. I hate to be another pretentious person telling you your business by saying "Your taste buds will change if you cut out sugar!" But I think they might be onto something.
Bottom line, I absolutely love this chocolate, I'd never go back. It suits *my specific dietary needs* (diabetes management, so I can avoid injecting at all costs) and still feels like I am eating like a normal person. I can't recommend it enough for people who are serious about their dietary needs balancing their human cravings. A little goes a long way when following a diet plan, so the price is well worth it for how long a bar will last me.
My personal recommendation: Chocolate Orange and the dark chocolate bar. They taste the closest to what you might expect in a shop, and DGF absolutely will have me coming back every pay check to get my sweet fix for the month.

I had a good laugh at "My brothers and sisters in Kryta"... and I have to say, your explanation about expectations is spot on. If someone is used to very sweet, sugar-filled chocolate, ours can be a surprise at first. But once people cut back on sugar, it's amazing how their taste buds begin to appreciate the cocoa itself rather than just the sweetness.
I also loved your description of dipping the chocolate in tea. I've never actually tried that... although I suspect I'll be giving it a go now!
What really means the most to me, though, is reading that our chocolate helps you manage your diabetes while still feeling like you're enjoying a proper treat. That's exactly why I started this business after my wife developed gestational diabetes during pregnancy. If we can help people enjoy chocolate without feeling they're missing out, then we're doing what we set out to do.
And thank you for mentioning the customer service too. We're a small family business, so every order and every review genuinely matters to us.

Everything we make is about proving you don't need loads of sugar or palm oil to create a proper bar of chocolate. It takes longer, costs more and is definitely the harder route, but reviews like yours remind me why it's worth it.

Love this company.
I've had a chocolate subscription with Dan and co for over 5 years now.
I can email directly and ask for a different flavour, if available, and they sort it out for me. I don't have to mess with my account and try to work out which combo I want or anything.
Seems expensive initially, but when you consider the difference in ingredient quality, it's worth every penny.
I prefer DGF chocolate to mainstream brands now, as it actually tastes of cocoa and cream, rather than sugar with a hint of chocolate.

Quality over quantity
This chocolate is amazing. Normally I eat generic chocolate brands, and even after eating a whole bar I still don't feel my chocolate craving has been satisfied.
I ate two squares of this chocolate, and it is so full of chocolaty flavour. I am blown away by how nice it tastes and I really feel like I'm having a proper treat.
I gave my husband some to try (he is a tough critic) and he said I would never eat any other chocolate if I could just eat this and asked me to buy more. Second order placed.
It's not cheap but most of the time you get what you pay for. You certainly do with this chocolate 😀

One of the biggest differences people notice is exactly what you've described. Rather than eating a whole bar and still wanting more, a couple of squares can be enough because the flavour lingers and actually satisfies those chocolate cravings.

A Great Find
As a diabetic, I have had limited options in the past (although there are more choices now). DGF's chocolate bars are a great find. I enjoyed the pack of four but felt the orange could have had a bit more flavour. We especially like the dark chocolate. I have ordered again.
