Well where do you start with this company of cowboys?
They are fast to take your money but their aftercare service is shocking to say the least.
They initially acted on our issues from the snag report we had carried out on the property (133 in Total).
Since we have moved in back in October 2022 they don't follow up their promise to support you for two years, we have reported a water leak from the main bathroom over six weeks ago with the promise that a member of our plumbing contractors will call you to arrange a suitable appointment, guess what despite numerous emails to post occupation and customer services this hasn't happened.
I have no choice now but to reach out to the NHBC for support.
The site has almost been completed so i guess they don't give two hoots anymore?
DONT BUY A HOUSE FROM THESE YOU WILL REGRET IT, who needs a family bathroom to be functional anyway eh?
A very annoyed customer from a Davidsons development.

Davidsons fail to build to the site plan. Which means that over 3 years after moving in we are still waiting for them to resolve their mistake.

We recently bought a Davidsons property and part exchanged our previous property. The part exchange process, communication, sale and aftercare have all been excellent. It really took the stress out of moving for us and we have felt well taken care of throughout. We love our new home and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Davidsons to anyone.

Have lived in our home for several years now and have experienced several problems you wouldn't expect with a new home. It seems they bought materials that were seconds, i.e., doors that didn't fit in the jams. We have plumbing problems, venting issues with dryer, cheap lighting fixtures, a bent door they tried to fix but didn't, leaking glass shower, squeaky floors, cheap paint, paint overspray on the floors, cracked cement on the garage floor and the patio, and popping of drywall screws on the ceiling. You'd think for after paying over 450k for a house it would be built better. And don't get me started on the warranty service; that's a whole other nightmare! Oh, they promised everyone that we would have a pool then they changed their minds and the subdivision is not going to have a pool. Will tell you anything to sell you a home!

Horrible service…..I have built homes in the past and this by far is the worst experience ever. They won’t answer emails or phone calls about work orders on getting your house fixed . Subfloors weren’t screwed down properly/ celling joined bowed the floors , so much noise when walking upstairs. A large area on landing wood stairs was sticking up and caused my son to get a huge cut on his toe/ also on top of the stairs . Bugs everywhere when moved in they never got rid of them like they said . Mildew smell coming from the vent hood , ac electrical was never hooked up. My carpet is still messed up and I have been contacting Davidson to get that scheduled but they won’t give the flooring company the PO number they need .
I would never in a million years recommend or buy from them. The customer service is horrible I don’t know how they are still in business.

So as someone who works in the professional construction industry, I decided to give Davidsons the benefit of the doubt. So sales team good, I got a professional snagger into the property before moving in if I did it it would have been quite damming, many items were picked up in the report-like poor paint work, not straight ceilings, chip tiles, bearing in mind I was told “we have excellent QA in this site…..” clearly someone needs to go to specsavers!

Overall paintwork was awful-poor quality, finishes.
So Davidsons didn’t rectify the items in the snagging report before I moved in, so I’ve had had to deal with after sales team.

One word awful! All they do is get their sub contractor to contact you and you have to basically project manage the defects works…..persimmon were far better!

Works are still ongoing on the site as a whole-which I have to try and turn a blind eye to the health and safety issues, the sub contractors attitudes, loud music playing while people are trying to work from home, sleep because of working nights etc.

Would I buy a Davidsons again, sadly not. The finish quality poor and after sales has been frustrating.

Couldn’t fault the customer care when we were purchasing our Davidsons home. Our problems have arisen in the aftercare phase. We have a huge litter problem on our plot which has been caused by the builders. As the covenant states that no changes can be made to the boundary lines, we were unable to put anything on our boundary to prevent the litter blowing into our garden. We contacted the site team on numerous occasions and while they mentioned resolving the issue with chicken wire we were continually ignored when we asked when this would be enforced. We then took measures to contact the complaints department and after weeks of chasing, the matter still has not been resolved and they have just closed our case. Not what I expected from what is supposed to be a reputable company. This has been ongoing since July 2023 (7 months). Once Davidsons have your money, they do not care what happens next, but are quick to jump on you if you breach the covenant agreement. Shocking customer aftercare.

Davidsons at Little Bowden did an amazing job. Michelle the Sales Manager influenced her Director to Part-Exchange my Grade II listed cottage. It had recently been refurbished and they managed to get it sold within 7 weeks!! Kelly the second Sales Manager and Barry the Site Manager are superb too and provided fab customer service. Yes, there are some snagging concerns but I am certain they will be ironed out effectively. I love my new, cosy warm home.

I purchased my New Home at Little Bowden Market Harborough, right from when I went to view my New Home while still being Built, the Sales Manager Michelle was Absolutely Amazing keeping me updated with photo’s and information on every step of the way.
I can’t Thank Michelle enough for everything she has done for me.
On the day of moving in The Manager Barry was also Amazing and so so Helpful, Barry has been there for me since day one helping me with all small issues and getting them done straight away.
I can’t Thank Barry enough he is always there for you.
Even after moving in Barry and Michelle are always there for you.
I would also like to Thank the Customer Care Team for taking care of any small issues I had Straight away for me.
I Have a Beautiful Davidson Home.

I have lived in a Davidson home for a year now. Build quality is minimally acceptable. Too many small issues keeping me from loving this home. Squeaky stairs, odd angles of walls, crappy carpet, poor drywall and mud installation, no exterior lights in the back, cracking walls, popping drywall nails, crappy concrete pour, steps falling apart already, poor insulation job, poor electrical, poor plumbing job. Lights not well placed in home. Nearly every door opens or closes by itself even after having them adjusted by the builder. Builder selected huge trees for a small lot. Money hungry selfish company.

The unfortunate truth - is that these selfish people are unable to consider others in their actions. Poor planning resulting in maximum impact for existing properties.

After sales / customer service is nothing short of USELESS!!

Having lived in my Davidsons home for 3 years I feel I’m well placed to comment on just how utterly shocking the customer service is from Davidsons once you move in. I never experienced such a disorganised company, with extremely poor communication with its sub-contractors and suppliers. EVERY single issue I have had with this house has always been hindered by Davidsons not being able to communicate with the suppliers/workers and me the customer - in fact, it’s so bad that our development wrote an open letter of complaint - let that sink in.

Was such an easy and enjoyable experience. Amazing service from both sales and after sales care. Home is built beautifully with minimal issues.

This has got to be the worst house building company I have ever come across. I have lived in a number of new builds over the years and have never experienced such arrogance. Their staff couldnt do enough for us when we were trying buy one of their homes but as soon as it was brought they were not interested in any problems we had. It has taken us over a year to try and get faults rectified and to this date we are still in dispute with them over a number of issues with our property. Their attitude to their customers is disgusting.

Can't Fault Davidsons. I've brought a new home before and that left me in tears so I was a little nervous doing it again. I reserved my home in July. Sharon from Arkall Farm Tamworth is absolutely brilliant. Went through every aspect of home thouroughly. Recommended Mortgage advisors and solicitors. As my home isn't complete Sharon put me in touch with another site so I could view a show home version of my home.
Part ex to take away all the stresses too. Sharon couldn't have done enough and keeps in touch every step of the way. Had my first viewing last week and so far so good. 1st class service. Can't wait to move in.

I recently purchased a new home on Arkall Farm Tamworth and did a PX. From a new sales perspective ( Paula & Sharon) the service I received was stunning, I was unsure if I could do the deal and was a little sceptical if they could deliver on everything they said they could do but boy they far exceeded my expectations, I have to say the speed on which the sales team worked was formula 1 speed , I received a very good deal on the house I wished to purchase and the PX valuation was very fair and reflected the market price , so I did the deal. I used the recommended solicitors Fishers and dealt with Nikita they were brilliant and dealt with everything for me taking away the stress and working through the process until completion, the costs were reasonable and I would totally recommend using them. I also used the recommended financial advisors and they also were very good and sorted out my mortgage ect so really pleased with them also. The whole process from agreeing to sale and move took us just under 3 months and we completed on 30/6. The move went nice and smooth with regards to exchange and Sharon kept me informed all the way which was great. I employed an independent snagging company which I would highly recommend SImon Hudson especially when you are paying such a lot of money. I can honestly say then that the support I received from the site and Dom in particular has been excellent and we have worked through all the issues although its a bit frustrating sometimes when things were not right in the 1st place but hey ho we get it. I would have scored a 5 but I did have an issue with my integrated fridge/freezer which didn't work properly and took a month to get me a new one which was the only thing I felt proper let down on , I had to buy a cool box at my own expense and live day by day which is very expensive and I also lost a full shops worth of fridge and freezer food In return we received an apology and a bottle of wine as a sorry I am still awaiting some form of compensation on that but not holding my breath as i think they think that its done which is disappointing.
All the trades people I have met from Davisons are really nice and very helpful especially Dean Kay and Michael and I cannot fault any of them, also ECS electrical have been really good and helped my with a few extras I have had done on my property. Lastly what about the house, we love it, 3 really spacious bedrooms all on suite, finish on the whole in the house is excellent, lovely kitchen diner looks stunning, fair sized garden and not to close to our neighbours so really good , We have purchased new homes before and without doubt Davisons are the best builders we have purchased from , nothing ever goes quite right and we are not moaners and accept that , Davisons especially Dom have always worked hard to fix and resolve, we are really pleased overall and would totally recommend anyone to buy from Davisons.

Buying a Davidsons Home at Alexandra Place was a great experience. Louise was just what I want from a sales person - honest, straight talking, and willing to help where she could. Having moved in to the property we have been a little frustrated with the aftercare, as the responses from one of the contractors in particular about fixing patio doors has been poor, but still happy to give 5 stars.
