The item arrived 15 days later although they are a UK based company,
i had to chase them several time as the website said 3-5 days delivery.
then when arrived 1 the quality is awful second the shirt doesn't fit it has been 4 days of me emailing them to get a return address but nothing from them
please please stay away not sure who to report them to but they are very much a cone company

Do not expect anything but a cheap nasty , not labelled , not sized horrible material
no returns policy (they give a discount off next purchase !) Even Charity shop was reluctant to take these shorts you have been warned

This company is appalling and their website is misleading - do not use them. My item was late, of terrible quality and was told I could only return ther item by sending it to China at a likely cost of around £50 (for an item worth much less than that).

Be aware of this fraud. Terrible products and you cannot return them because of the high cost that they charge.
Once again, be aware and don’t do the mistake of buying here.

This company is trash and a scam, the website is all jazzed up… To make it look like a premium brand… The delivery arrived extremely late but considering they’re called daveandcarterUK, you would think their warehouse is in the United Kingdom, Nope its in China and if you want to return your product its £50 postage and packaging. The label on the clothing says nothing but made in China… it’s cheap clothing nothing special but high priced. Go buy from shein or temu instead. Don’t waste your time with this company. I hope they fold real quick for the benefit of everyone. Order #2162 and I have all the email correspondence still.

I ordered a pair of mens sandels nearly 3 weeks ago no e mail of conformation I will be putting this down to fraud

Beware!! This company is a scam which tricks people by having an impressive website that gives the impression that it is a trusted UK business. Their prices are comparable to high street stores like Next and M&S, but they deliver poor quality products from China and then demand £50 return p&p. Absolutely disgusting - I hope trading standards catch up with the owners and they get their just desserts. My evidence is on the way.

If you like paying way too much for a cheaply made plastic shirt that arrives late and is Ill fitting then this is the place to shop, oh, and if you do want to return it will cost more than you paid for the shirt which is the customers responsibility, total scam site.

Shocking scammers. Their positive reviews are clearly written by themselves to distract from the endless bad reviews. Terrible quality products and service, nothing like the photos. They work very hard to stop you getting a refund. We must do what we can to stop them ruining peoples time and stealing their money. Shameful.

A Chinese website (run by JD.com, a TEMU-like junk site) which pretends to be a high-end UK “Gentlemen Fashion” store.
Ordered a 3XL Linen Jacket 12 July. Chased after a week and got a brusque reply referring me to their 7 – 14 days ‘terms and conditions’ website, and lying that it was with their delivery company (EVRI). Checked and it wasn’t. After 13 days no show check again with EVRI and they had still not received it. Just about to demand a refund when EVRI mailed saying they had finally got it.
Arrived scrunched up in a small plastic bag. Tried on – far too small. Have no proof it’s too small ‘cos the size label had been cut off. Also no care instructions.
Appalling – avoid.

Don't do it! This isn't a bonafide company! The photos of the product are not theirs and don't represent what you will receive... which if it arrives will be poor quality or something different altogether! You can't return the shoddy goods either! Beware...

Not as advertised. Cheap material, sizing incorrect. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!

Never usually bother writing bad reviews but feel I should warn people on this occasion! Bought a shirt for holiday over a week before we left. Took a slight gamble but the website said 1-2 business days to despatch and 3-5 business days to deliver, so figured there would be a good chance of it arriving in time. It didn't, hey-ho, it was a risk. But when I chased it up, they said that the delivery time is 7-14 business days. No where does it say that on the website. I got back from holiday to find a terribly poor quality garment. I didn't even take it out the plastic packaging to try it because I could see how poor quality it was, with what looked like a really low resolution print of the design. I contacted them for return details and I had to suffer through multiple attempts by them to change my mind, including saying that it can cost £50 to return to China. It actually cost me £12.90 for tracked postage with Royal Mail. I knew it would take a while to get to China, but about 7 weeks passed before I finally got my refund, having had to chase it up. The tracking information said it has been in Chinese customs for about 5 weeks! Given that it was such a terrible experience overall I'm surprised that the communication was actually quite good, in that they responded to my emails quite quickly. But this was the only redeemable quality of what appears to be a sham of a company.

This is not a company! It's a SCAM of the worst kind... photos look good but but in reality it's all poor quality! There is no phone number and no shop, the products go missing in the post of don't arrive at all. Then when you want to return they want to charge you £50 to return them to China!!!

SCAM WARNING – Dave & Carter sends fake items and ignores their own refund policy

I ordered a shirt from Dave & Carter (Order #2621) that was clearly shown on their website as having real embroidery. What I received was a completely different product - a cheap shirt with a printed pattern, totally DIFFERENT from the advertised design, and it even smelled like glue.

When I contacted them requesting a refund and offered to return the shirt at first, they offered me a 20% discount on my next order - instead of accepting the return- which is laughable, since they send these discounts in marketing emails every day.
Then they told me I’d have to pay £50 out of pocket to return the item to a warehouse in China (more than the shirt itself, which cost £44) even though the store presents itself as UK-based.

When I quoted their own refund policy, they changed their offer to a 70% discount on my next order - again, avoiding their responsibility. Here’s what their official policy says:

“Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect.”
“If your item arrives damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered - we’re genuinely sorry. Please contact us right away at info@daveandcarteruk, and we’ll make it right as quickly as possible at no extra cost to you.”

Yet even after I showed them photo evidence and cited their terms word-for-word, they ignored it. Eventually, they just stopped replying. No return label, no refund. And they quietly REMOVED!! the shirt from their website after my complaint - which says it all.

This is fraud, plain and simple. Dave & Carter advertises one thing and ships something else. When you try to get help, they dodge accountability and go silent.

Avoid this company. Report them to Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, your bank (for chargeback), and don’t stay silent - warn others.

Terrible quality, sizing very inaccurate, I ordered XL shirt - looks like a small. Very cheap material. The company informed me that it would cost approximately £50 for me to return item as customer has to send back to warehouse in China. They also informed me that I have to return with tag on to gain refund - there was no tag on item (as they well know).

I have reported to trading standards, who also advised to contact:

Update: please don’t be fooled by the polite response from ‘company’ below, they provide false information during every email, and have no intent to help, as they know they are scammers…

The items I received do not match the descriptions on the website, and they arrived without the original tags or labels. This leads me to suspect that the retailer may claim they were worn or used, likely denying a refund. I intend to return the items to the store and request a refund, though I doubt about success.
I strongly advise avoiding this shop.
