Having bought around $100 of plugins from this site I am unlikely to ever make another purchase.

Customer support is slow and fairly unhelpful, seemingly siding with the developers - who in my case set their rules.

One of the products I purchased was simply broken and useable, leaving me unable to use the plugin or get a refund (seemingly) without a battle.

As I am on a tight budget, making any future purchases this site - for me - would be too risky unfortunately.

Stupid big company Envato simply blocked my account after I entered my card details. The reason they only gave me is because I violated the clause 44 or what bla bla bla, WITHOUT A SOLID PROOF OF VIOLATION.

Is this how a big company should treat its own customers? I'm A customer service agent as well, and this is not how I should be treated as a customer. It's too unfair and unreasonable.

Yes, I have 2 accounts for Envato, one is a work email, and personal email. But why should they block my account when I never made a purchase before and right after I want to buy a product and key in my card details, they block me out? What the hell is this? I contacted their Facebook page as well and the social media support also wouldn't try to help me out a single bit and told me to contact them via email instead When their customer support contacted me via email didn't even solve the issue properly and reasonably. How the hell am I going to get my issue solved ?? Omg big company like this doesn't worth to have customer at all if this is how they solve issues for their customer.

I've had a profoundly disappointing experience with Codecanyon/Envato, and I felt compelled to share my thoughts, especially regarding the NFT marketplace script I purchased. It's unfortunate to say that I believe they are now engaging in questionable practices that have left me feeling scammed.

The script in question was a promise of a fully functional NFT marketplace, complete with bids, minting, selling, and auctions. It was created by a company called BD Task and sold on Codecanyon. However, my experience with this product has been nothing short of a nightmare.

The primary issue I've encountered is their refusal to honor refund requests for products that simply do not work as described. Despite the script's enticing description and promises, it became evident that it was neither working nor complete. Attempting to seek assistance through their support channels only led to dead ends. The lack of support for a product that was supposed to include it is inexcusable.

What's even more troubling is the response I received when I reached out for help. I was informed that fixing the script to work as expected would cost an additional $1000. This is an absurd proposition, especially when the functionality in question should have been included in the product's support package. It's clear that some sellers on their platform are exploiting customers by selling incomplete and non-functional products, with no intention of providing the promised support.

Adding to my frustration, my request for a refund was blatantly ignored. It's evident that Codecanyon/Envato has little regard for customers who have been left high and dry with malfunctioning products.

To make matters worse, even after reaching out to Envato for assistance, the process has been incredibly drawn out, with redundant requests for the same information and no tangible progress.

In conclusion, based on my experience, Codecanyon/Envato's practices appear to be shifting towards a platform where sellers can get away with peddling non-working products and avoiding their responsibilities. This raises serious questions about their integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. I urge potential buyers to exercise caution when considering purchases from this platform, as you might end up with a product that doesn't work and an unresponsive support system, leaving you with no recourse.

Misleading website/ They claim a refund is possible but in reality it is not.
I bought a non working/poorly written script from one of bad author.
Lost the money, will not buy from Codecanyon again.

Very bad Website, it's down to the worst level in its history, they don't support you very well with very slow response!!

I paid almost 100$ for the script. Right at the moment the money were dedicated from my bank account the codecanyon blocked my profile.
Support team DOES NOT reactivates my profile nor they agree to send my money BACK! Support just IGNORES my asks to return the money they charged for the script !!!! Do not use the service of this company if you value your own time and money.

Don't deal with them!
I tried 2 times to submit 2 different projects... i inversted money in the designs and had to do this work 2 times since the first time just was a soft reject.. no one will pay me for this time so don't even try to submit one new project for them.. they don't care about you!

My account was suspended for commenting on the seller who scammed me out of 9 thousand dollars. They only protect sellers.

Really funny, I decided to buy a script but at the time of payment my account was blocked, I sent a request to open the account to support but they told me they won't open the account. without explaining the reason

Très mauvais site à fuire. Envato Vs CodeCanyon c'est de l'arnaque, abus de confiance et manipulateur je vous déconseille ce site. Ils te poussent à payer un abonnement après tu n'as pas ce que tu veux ils refusent de te rembourser m. Je n'ai jamais rencontré un site aussi horrible dans ma vie. Je regrette d'avoir mis mon argent dans ça.

They will remove any under 5 stars feedback from plugins like lumise, those plug ins are full of bugs, and when you place an honest review under 5 stars they run to ask codecanyon to remove the bad ratings and they are removed for any reason in hours, not allowing real customers to express the real experience.

Codecanyon is filled with authors who will sell faulty scripts to you and turn you into a cash cow in a bid to fix it for you. The Codecanyon Team supports this because they just want to make money when you buy stuff. They will stereotype you, abuse you, threaten you, and kick you off their forum and website if you try to raise awareness.

It is just an ideal place to go and throw away your hard-earned money and time.

I recently sawed a plugin like WordPress automatic AI plugin. The purpose of that plugin is to automatically write the blog in WordPress website. The plugin not working fine. I wasted 30 dollars in this plugin. The plugin having virus. There is a data privacy problems in the plugin. I asked for refund over the mail. Still no response from their side. Give my money back. I dont want your dummy plugin.

Developers just need to submit a report on user feedback and bad code feedback will be removed, large scale scam.

Full of buggy scripts. If you want refund, they stay on the seller's side. They delete negative comments and reviews. Only positive reviews are positive.

I have purchased numerous products from Envato aka code canyon over the years, via theme forest and code canyon, for both myself and my clients, all of which are fully paid for and licenced.

I recently purchased 1 product which I was not able to use as intended or get any useful help or responses from the vendor, who also have a reputation of being quite rude and arrogant. So I requested a refund from Envato.

They refused and were being difficult, so I lodged a dispute with Paypal to get my refund.

If you lodge a dispute with Paypal, Envato will immediately block your account and your access to any of the products you have ever purchased from them (not just the one you are disputing), even though you own them. This means you cannot download any of those products you own or any updates for those products or access the support you may have also paid for.
I assume this also blocks API access as well, so any automated updates from the websites using those products will also no longer work.

This is basically blackmail and extortion, which is illegal.

They don't hold scammy developers accountable for their rubbish practices. E.g secondary licensing, and they don't refund ANYONE. Also their support takes 5+ days to respond - Stay away from codecanyon, find another marketplace that appreciates you - Envato doesn't and they won't in the future either going by their historic changes and terms & conditions....
