My experience with clever accounts is really good the accountant I work with (Suhail Sagher), is very helpful, friendly and prompt with helping me.
I would recommend clever accounts to anybody whether your a sole trader or a LTD.

I had a very disappointing experience with Clever Accounts. I paid nearly £90 a month and genuinely feel like I received nothing in return. Communication has been extremely poor — my assigned accountant never seems to have availability to actually speak when needed, which defeats the purpose of paying a monthly fee for “support.”

On top of that, whenever I needed documents sent to HMRC, I was told there would be additional charges for their time to send them. If I’m already paying a substantial monthly fee, basic tasks like submitting documents shouldn’t come with extra costs every time.

Overall, it feels like you’re paying a monthly subscription for very little service, and then being charged again for essential work. I would not recommend based on my experience.

I was a bit dubious at first at using an online accountant, I needn't have worried. I have my own dedicated contact there, Kiran and she is fantastic. It is one of those services that when the DD goes out I think, what do they do for me, then I look at how much they have saved me and it's obvious.

I have adhd and having Suhail do my accounts has been brilliant for me because he checks everything is being actioned in plenty of time and talks me through any of the complicated accounting in a way that is understandable.

Suhail Sager has been an absolutely invaluable asset for us. We had originally started our small business with a different accounting firm that was an absolute disaster so we were really skeptical and nervous about going with someone else, but I am so pleased that we did. Been with them for 4 months now, Suhail is friendly and professional, obviously knows his stuff and has been nothing but helpful from the start. I never worry about anything accounting related now, I know I can just drop him an email or schedule a call and he'll get it handled. Absolute star. I'd tell everyone to request him but at the same time don't want to lose his time and attention!

I have been with clever accounts since December 2023 and was provided with immediate support. The use of free agent booking keeping allows for easy management of transactions. Whenever posed with an issue regarding Vat, tax refund, transaction breakdowns or even personal issues regarding accountancy, you can expect a response usually within the same day for quick processing. It has been very stress free since I joined and im thankful!

5-star service from start to finish. They handled my first self-assessment submission and did all the work for me, making the whole process genuinely hassle free. Communication was clear, I was kept updated throughout, and any questions I had were answered quickly. Professional, supportive, and easy to deal with. Took all the stress out of it. Highly recommended.

My personal Accountant is Suhail, nothing is too trivial or complex for him to deal with in a very professional manner, he is courteous, approachable and diligent.
