My car was damaged by hit and run
My car was damaged by hit and run. The engineer assessed it by looking at pictures while on the phone. He tried to say the lights were not working. I told him it was structural damage, i had checked the lights but he insisted it was to be written off. Other people looked at the car and clearly noted iy as structural I am self employed, so had to take a hire car of which I pay for Guaranteed hire plus as part of the policy. After 5 working days they taking the hire car back, leaving me with no car and go get another car ASAP. They saying if the car is written off, and payment accepted 21 working days does not apply, it's 5 days. What I want to know, is how do you assess a car using photos and assess its not road worthy? Why the policy is misleading saying 21 days hire car? Once you get the money, how easy is it to buy another car in 5 days?

Says one thing, does a another thing
Please don't waste your time with this company. They undervalue your car and to add insult to injury say they will bank transfer you but actually send a cheque out via post. Appalling customer service, incompetent engineers, profiteering departments. Just go with another insurance company.

Churchill Advisor has been very helpful throughout our claim which we felt was very distressing at the time. They gave clear us a clear understanding of what we needed to do and how to get the help we needed. We were dismissive of some of the damage to our kitchen, worrying that we should only claim for the obvious damage, but the very helpful Advisor asked us to send photo images of various other elements that had been damaged, that we didn't realise we could claim for, and kindly these parts were also accepted in the settlement we received. It has restored our faith in making a claim to be helped through each stage with empathy and compassion of the contributing factors surrounding our claim. Thank you so much C.

Avoid-you will not get your payout if unfortunate enough to need one
Appalling. Super simple, clear, inexpensive claim and they are doing everything to avoid dealing with it.
Months of no communications, impossible to speak and now we have finally had a response they are postponing further. I have since found out that since the buyout they are delaying and avoiding payouts, however legitimate. Avoid at all costs.
