My granddaughter absolutely loves the soft play area. What a brilliant facility to have for our little ones. The staff are very helpful and you can sit and watch your child having super fun. Food is available plus drink. Brilliant.

Shocking service in the cafe today.
Only one till working. A queue of people. 2 till voids on the one till that was working so we had to wait for someone to come and rectify.
20minutes in the queue with only 4 people in front of me was absolutely disgusting.
This place gets worse!!!

I did appreciate the excellent ease of access for the disabled at Cherry lane garden Centre today. All your paths are smooth and wide making it easy to get around on my mobility scooter. No steps. The disabled toilet was one the best I have ever used either plenty of grab rails etc.

Loved the fact you can buy almost anything from cupboard foods, laundry products, clothing, footwear, plants etc.
My first experience with the cafe staff was mixed. I have life changing medical diet for l6 yrs. I found the staff were reluctant to help get a a simple change in the ingredients so I can digest my meal. If I hadn't asked for a small change, this could have been detrimental to my well being.
I am used to tailoring small ingredients from my meal choices, but never experienced this staff resistance to help me.
The staff were not rude, just reluctant to budge, at my requests, and I felt quite belittled, infront of staff and other customers.
I have a rare form of Colitis, which I explained to them, so ended up with an easier choice of food for them, not me.very disappointed.
"Chef won't be happy with that" and, "don't think so", all staff negative remarks.
I asked for tap water, for my pups in their pram, they suggested "we have water in various, dog bowls, outside."
I said hey don't come out of their pram, due to being puppies. My Cavaliers, or other dogs, would not have been able to used the dog water bowls, as they were green gunge in the cafe one, next to the sheds.
I do think some of the staff could benefit from some customer service training, maybe would help, staff not to be conflicting, or sharp with customers. Monday staff, were not a great representative of a good, well rounded, friendly, and accommodating people. This I would include the cashiers too.

Visited today one of the store colleagues was accusing my son of stealing a drink my son explained that he had already had the drink when he walked in which I can verify my son decided to buy two drinks in store and was accused of stealing the one he was drinking my son explained politely that this was the case as the colleague walked away he nodded his head to my son I went over and said that in my view that he shouldn’t be doing that in front of customers that he should be in my view more respectful he was in my view so rude shouted back at me well that’s your opinion and walked off I was quite shocked at his rudeness needless to say I won’t be returning

I visited cherry lane garden centre today at fritton the heat in there was absolutely ridiculous! I felt sorry for the staff that are expected to work in that heat, I left quickly! they have just done a lot of renovation work but there wasn’t any fans or air conditioning

Well so far no response to tell me when to expect order from last Tuesday 6 days ago
You can’t call them as no number
You complete an online form but it takes them ages to respond with a just an enquiry reference number.
Can’t speak to anyone
The Royal Mail reference number is not one you can track as it’s too long as doesn’t end in GB as it should
Basically im still waiting and haven’t heard anything

Overall the garden centre is just okay, same items in any that you visit.
The cafe is just okay too at Salhouse in Norwich.

Ordered an air conditioner unit, which I was told was in stock at the time. 3 days later I'm told it's out of stock. Now left without air conditioner in the heat. Won't be shopping here again.

I met a friend for lunch today at Countesthorpe Garden Centre. I hadn't visited for a few years and, although not much has changed, sadly the café seems to have gone downhill.

Our tea arrived only lukewarm and the cups were dirty, with one even having lipstick marks on it. The cutlery wasn't much better, and the plates looked rather worn and in need of replacement. We both ordered toasties, which were overcooked and almost burnt on one side, although the presentation was acceptable. On a positive note, the menu offered a reasonable selection, including some gluten-free options.

The outdoor seating area was also looking rather tired. The parasols had clearly seen better days and only provided limited coverage for the tables, making the space feel a bit neglected.

The garden centre itself still has a wide selection of plants, but many appeared to be in need of watering and looked as though they were struggling in the warm weather.

The staff were pleasant and friendly throughout our visit, which was appreciated. Overall, it was disappointing to see a place that was once a favourite looking as though it may be struggling. I hope improvements can be made, as it would be sad to see standards continue to decline.

Don't buy here if you want to change your mind. Refused a refund although i had proof of purchase on my phone. Very poor customer service, more than his jobs worth to show any good will and change a rule. They have therefore lost my goodwill. I'll be going to Bickerdykes

WARNING TO SHOPPERS AT SOUTH VIEW GT YARMOUTH

On 3rd June my friend and I visited this garden centre. I spent around GBP52 and he spent GBP32. Neither of us had the receipt on our Apps for some reason and yet I always present my phone at the till point even though their checkout staff do not ask for it. It later transpired that there was an offer on one of the items that my friend bought for GBP24,99 that should have registered as GBP17.99. When we went back, South View refused to honour the price and basically the male supervisor made us feel guilty and advised it was our fault for not checking receipts to see if the card had been lazered at the time.

PLEASE check your receipts as do not let this company get away with offering offers and then not scanning the card/app properly at checkout, THIS IS YOUR MONEY.

As for me i shall never set foot in this store again and shall go to the Highway or Notcutts - even Tesco and Morrisons sell plants so there are other options. My mate just lets people walk all over him as does not liked confrontation. Do not let this happen to you

I was a little disappointed when visiting Langford earlier this week. While the plan selection is very good many plants were struggling through apparent watering neglect. The plant bargain area was also full of dried out plants. When visiting the cafe I was not happy, to say the least, that there had been an apparent 30% inches in pricing of many items compared to the pricing shown on the website menu had downloaded! Apart from the fact that this is a huge increase, the website is very misleading. IT still shows the lowered pricing even now - several days free our visit. POor show!

Wellington Cafe & Bistro Ruddington at 1.30 on May 29th.
Noticed not many people in which is unusual and soon found out why.
Ordered Quiche, French fries and beans - for my wife and I - meal arrived within three minutes of being seated.
Quiche was cold and leathery as were the fries
The only edible part of the meal were the beans which were hot.

As for the rest of the meal I would not have been surprised to learn these were 'returns'
So if you want to feel 'short changed' and 'ripped off' the Wellington Bistro will not dis-appoint as this is probably the worst garden centres food for miles around

Pleasant staff. Food was really nice, freshly prepared. Sit outside in the heat, really tranquil. Prices average all the way around... little gem at Retford👌👍🤗

Dishonest pricing....states savings for multiple purchases. When checking out these aren't given....costs me much more

Most disgusting meal ever for lunch. Tasteless chicken and ham pie that was more pastry than filling. The accompanying vegetables were tinned carrots, tinned peas and over chips. At £12.99 it was daylight robbery!

I have been a few times and enjoy my visits. Unfortunately I find the staff to be quite unpleasant. This applies to the cafe aswell

Tried to raise my concerns about an owl display and the manager clashed the phone down on me, emailed them all the information about best practice and why stroking owls is cruel and they ignored it.

Asked why they couldnt sort out my phone app coffee stamps as phones to claim your coffee don't work at tickhill .as with other reviews the staff who take the mail couldn't be bothered to reply ,I think it's time to go somewhere else
